New Report Player Options in Patch 9.2.5

Recommended Posts

aXHBc4j.jpeg

Blizzard has revamped the Report User Interface in Patch 9.2.5, giving you more options to choose from when reporting others.

You must click on a player's portrait and select the Report Player option to bring up the new UI. You have 3 reasons to choose from in the open world. You can report players for Cheating, Gameplay Sabotage, and Inappropriate Name.

Every reason has subcategories that help specify your report. You can select multiple ones if you so desire.

Inappropriate Name

  • Character Name
  • Battle Tag
  • Group name
  • Guild Name

Gameplay Sabotage

I have a strong feeling that big headed m+ players will take advantage of "blocking progress" when a small mistake is made in a pug group. Of course, right after they leave in the middle of a key too, gotta show the other players that their time is more valuable than anyone else's

what does this mean?

  • Intentionally Feeding

It's when you repeatedly/intentionally die to give kills to the enemy or "feed them with kills" hence intentional feeding.

They are already blocked because of the war

Ohhhhh, when did that happen?

Well, good thing Blizzard learned their lesson with female abuse, and stands firmly on their policy of no-discrimination!

I think that it’s just a biproduct of Russians being unable to effectively pay for the gametime now because of swift or something like that. But correct me if I am wrong.

blizzard said 07.03 that russians cant create a new abo nor buy more game time or purchase anything in their games while the war lasts

if they have an active abo that lasts for example 6 month they still have that game time but cant get more. still that announcment could also have been caused by the swift ban

Russians are barely affected by this as most already use VPNs or are savvy enough to set it up if they want, those who left are mostly people who dislike blizzard for this move.

Would this even change anything if their accounts are already in Russian region and they are playing on Russian servers? Since they were already identified as belonging to certain region, VPN can't mask that or is it that simple?

Anyway, hopefully this report system is effective and not easy to abuse. If it's all automated, then some people may potentially abuse it simply because they didn't like certain player, for example.

Come now, players of Russia and the surrounding countries play both on RU servers as well as EU ones. Theoretically, if they wanted to, they could've blocked every single account registered in Russia. But, for some reason, they might be thinking players will be back.

Blizzard do not have any law-related obligation to do anything, naturally, they are only forbidden to do business with those two republics unrecognized by the world by US laws, hence why those accounts are getting banned.

Add to it giving out 2 free months worth of game time to all accounts registered in neighbouring countries, as apparently their sign of "supporting Ukraine and pressuring Putin" (lol), commenting on how they are looking for the ways to make payments possible - again, for those countries exclusively, not for Russian players as well.

I don't think could be a better way to demonstrate their attempts of improving and "fighting against discrimination" after that lawsuit than what you're looking at - discriminating players who do not even take part in this sh*tshow by definition, for no sensible reason, but the hypewave.

We have a very Dracthyr-looking piece of concept art from way back pre-Vanilla, as xperio28 spotted a bulkier version of the new race coming in Dragonflight in the Art of World of Warcraft book!
There's been a lot of talk about the look of the Dracthyr, mostly focusing on their size and bulkiness, and while the art below almost certainly isn't of this specific race, as it was made pre-Vanilla WoW, it's looking very similar:

      Source: xperio28.
The text is very hard to make out, but enigmapenguin and YendorWons in the thread may have figured it out, at least partially:
Greater whelp grown to man size will hunt other dragon whelps then larger dragons feed on The whole "feed on" aspect is particularly interesting, as there's plenty of speculation going around on whether or not Galakrond, the OG dragon-eater will have something to do with Dragonflight's story (especially with the potential for the Infinite dragonflight's involvement).
We've have plenty of bipedal dragon-like creatures in WoW over the years so the connection isn't direct, but it is interesting to see how far back the idea of playable-looking dragon race goes, especially since we know the original plan was to have many more playable races, including naga.
