It's time for Burning Crusade Timewalking this week. You can clear Black Temple for item level 252 loot. Don't forget to complete 5 Timewalking dungeons for 1 piece of Normal Sepulcher gear.

Reins of the Infinite Timereaver Reins of the Infinite Timereaver has a chance to drop as Personal Loot from all Timewalking dungeons bosses.

Illidan Awaits

Head to Outland to face Illidan and his cohorts once more in The Black Temple!

The Black Temple raid is available throughout the Burning Crusade Timewalking event. The difficulty is set to Normal and, like any Normal-level raid, will not be available through Raid Finder. To take on this challenge, you’ll need to get your guild or a group of friends together, or head to Group Finder > Premade Groups. The raid scales for your group size (between 10 — 30 players) and your level and gear will be scaled back to match the raid’s challenges.

Want to relive the time you first defeated Teron Gorefiend? Face (face, face) the Reliquary of Souls once more? Witness the showdown between Maiev and Illidan before the final fight? Now’s your chance. Inside you can earn transmog sets, the pets you need for Raiding With Leashes III, a Music Roll: The Burning Legion, and gear drops of ilvl 252. And for Demon Hunters, there’s the enticing possibility of obtaining the legendary Warglaives of Azzinoth. Are you, this time, prepared?

Dungeons in The Burning Crusade Timewalking

All week, open Group Finder (default hotkey: i) and then select Dungeon Finder and Timewalking in the Type dropdown. When you hit ‘Find Group’, you’ll be matched up with other players and sent to one of the following Heroic dungeons:

Magister’s Terrace
After his defeat in Tempest Keep, Kael'thas Sunstrider publicly revealed his alliance with the ruthless Burning Legion. Intent upon summoning the demon lord Kil'jaeden, Kael'thas has returned to the Isle of Quel'Danas to make the final preparation for his master's arrival.

Mana-Tombs
The original exiles on Draenor found death to be an unsettling and unfortunate consequence of life, and so the draenei hid their dead away in the subterranean grave-city of Auchindoun, a labyrinthine marvel located beneath the forest of Terokkar.

The Blood Furnace
At the heart of Outland's barren Hellfire Peninsula stands Hellfire Citadel, a nearly impenetrable bastion that served as the Horde's base of operation throughout the First and Second Wars.

The Botanica
The mighty Tempest Keep was created by the enigmatic naaru: sentient beings of pure energy and the sworn enemies of the Burning Legion. In addition to serving as a base of operations for the naaru, the structure itself possesses the technology to teleport through alternate dimensions, traveling from one location to another in the blink of an eye.

The Shattered Halls
At the heart of Outland's barren Hellfire Peninsula stands Hellfire Citadel, a nearly impenetrable bastion that served as the Horde's base of operations throughout the First and Second Wars.

The Underbog
Coilfang Reservoir is the name for a naga-dominated compound that lurks under Zangarmarsh's deepest waters. The reservoir, punctured throughout by massive open pipes and pistons, seems big enough to house armies - and, yet, its purpose isn't strictly military.

Your character and items will be scaled down to a power level fitting for the challenge at hand, but bosses will yield loot appropriate for your natural level. Timewalking dungeons also have a chance to drop items that usually drop when you run them on Heroic, and you’ll earn reputation with a faction that is interested in the dungeon. For example, when you Timewalk through The Slave Pens, you’ll earn reputation with the Cenarion Expedition, which could open access to purchasing the Cenarion War Hippogryph mount.

Look for the following all week long:

  • Caretalker Kah'Toll in Oribos has a quest for you has a quest for you. Or, if you forget to pick it up there, you can start it from within the Adventure Journal.
    • Quest requirement: Complete 5 Timewalking dungeons.
    • Rewards: One box containing a piece of gear from Normal difficulty Sepulcher of the First Ones.
  • While Timewalking is active, you will gain a 50% bonus to reputations earned from quests and creature kills for all reputations associated with the corresponding expansion.

Every Week

The Bonus Events system consists of a rotating schedule of different activities, currently scheduled to run each week beginning on Tuesdays. Each Bonus Event grants a passive bonus to a particular game activity and offers a once-per-event quest with a noteworthy reward for accomplishing a related goal. The in-game calendar can serve as your one-stop reference for the event schedule. The Adventure Guide also offers a direct link to active Bonus Events, allowing you to easily accept any associated quests.

I know this thing says 900 ilvl drops but Black Temple is 252 right? or no?

Correct, I've fixed the official blog post. It's probably a copy paste from before the squish.

Grimrail Depot will be added to the Mythic+ pool of dungeons in Shadowlands Season 4. Here's a sample +10 run of the Warlords of Draenor dungeon from the Patch 9.2.5 PTR.
The sample run includes testing of the new Season 4 Affix called Shrouded. Thanks to MrGM for the video.
Blizzard added a new accessibility option for players that hides moving environment pieces in Maw of Souls and Grimrail Depot. You can buy the elixir from an NPC at the beginning of both dungeons.

Heartbond Lupine received a new flying animation in Patch 9.2.5. In this post, we compare the old and new animations in more detail.
Heartbond Lupine is a mount added in Patch 9.2 that comes from Protoform Synthesis. Its current flying animation makes it look as if the mount was swimming in the air.

In Patch 9.2.5 the flying run animation has been updated as you can see below. The mount no longer swims but walks in the air.

Which animation do you prefer? Let us know in the comments!

We have a pretty great new Easter egg coming with patch 9.2.5, featuring all the Windrunner siblings, a musical scene, and some props! As spotted by The Lost Codex, Windrunner Spire is getting a reference to the recent Sylvanas book in the form of 4 items scattered around the statue (with the bow actually being related to Sylvanas, not the arrow as noted later):
Some theorized that the order in which the characters disappear after the scene ends had some meaning, but it seems to be random, and sometimes they stick around for quite a while longer as well:

Magharathon Man programmed a run into their treadmill that follows along with an in-game video of their character running from the Scarab Gong in Silithus to the Broken Bridge in Winterspring.
The run's at 7 miles per hour (half of the player character's speed) and mimics terrain changes. The total run lasts 1 hour 17 minutes and 20 seconds. It covers 9.02 miles with 266 feet of overall elevation gain. The whole run was live-streamed on Twitch and uploaded to YouTube.   The run begins approximately 10 minutes into the video.   Source: Reddit

We have a survival guide for Patch 9.2.5 with everything coming in the latest Shadowlands update. Check it out!
      Everything Coming in Patch 9.2.5
      Class Changes
Even though the update doesn't primarily focus on class changes, we have some minor ones worth checking out.
      Death Knight
      PvP Talents
Dome of Ancient Shadow has been removed. Hunter
      Baseline
Kill Command - Give the command to kill, causing your pet to savagely deal [ 153.1% 159% of Attack Power ] Physical damage to the enemy. Beast Mastery

Removes Fear and Horrify all crowd control effects from your pet. Bloodshed (Level 50 talent) - Command your pet to tear into your target, causing your target to bleed for [ 178% 184.9% of Attack Power ] over 18 sec and increase all damage taken from your pet by 15% for 18 sec. Legendary Powers
Wildfire Cluster - Wildfire Bomb drops an additional cluster of bombs around the target, each exploding for [ 33% of Attack Power ] Fire damage. Damage is reduced beyond 8 targets. Monk
      Windwalker

Demon Armor has been removed. Shadowfall (New PvP Talent) added. Gain the Nightfall talent with 100% increased chance to gain its effect. If you already have this talent, you may select another in the same row. Cross-Faction Gameplay
In Patch 9.2.5 you can engage in certain types of content with the opposite faction. This includes Mythic Dungeons, Rated PvP, Raids, and Legacy raids.
You can't do outdoor world content and matchmaking activities (LFR or Normal/Heroic dungeons, Random Battlegrounds, Arena Skirmishes) with players of the opposite faction. Guilds will remain single faction. Communities can be cross-faction and they act like guilds. You cannot walk up to a player of the opposite faction and invite them. You must be members of the same cross-faction community, Battle.net friends, or the person must be listed in the premade Group Finder tool. The system comes with some restrictions that you will find here. New Race-Specific Questlines
Dark Iron Dwarves at Level 50 who completed their Heritage Armor questline can embark on a new quest to earn a mount and Heritage Weapons. The weapons can be used for transmog without any restrictions. Here's Grimhowl, the mount you can get.

Blood Elves Exalted with Silvermoon City can start a new questline in Oribos that rewards a Green Hawkstrider mount and a polearm (Veil-Touched Ranseur).

Blood Elf Paladins will additionally gain a Blood Knight armor set.

      New Enigma Arena
The Zereth Mortis Arena will become available in the Patch 9.2.5 update.
      Encrypted Content
Blizzard stepped up the game with encryption in Patch 9.2.5. There's a ton of encrypted content related to Brill, Lordaeron, Calia Menethil, and the Forsaken in the new patch.
One of the splash screens is encrypted in Patch 9.2.5.  There's a rumor of an Allied Race coming as a Dragonflight pre-order bonus circulating in the community. The theory points toward Darkfallen, which are Night Elves and Blood Elves with reddish eyes. There's a new questline taking place in Tirisfal Glades. A new minimap, suggesting Brill will be remade. The map of Lordaeron refers to the post-blight stage. Brill got a new flight path in 9.2.5. We know the encrypted Lordaeron content has something to do with Calia Menethil. One quest named Eyes of the Wolf wasn't encrypted. Still, it doesn't give much away. There is an encrypted armor set. Patch 9.2.5 could be the new standard when it comes to hiding content until the update hits live servers. Torghast Wings Availability
Torghast will have all its wings open in Patch 9.2.5. They will no longer be on a rotation.

New Stay Awhile and Listen Conversations
We have two endgame gossip dialogues available in 9.2.5. The first one's between Jaina and Khadgar.

The second dialogue is available between Taelia and Bolvar Fordragon.

      Updated Reporting Tools
The report player tool has been updated in Patch 9.2.5. We covered the changes in a separate post. Here's a preview of the new report UI.

Social Contract in World of Warcraft
Social Contract is a new policy that you must accept before playing World of Warcraft or leave the game. It's also coming to Wrath Classic.

      Flying Lupine Mount Animation Updated
The Heartbond Lupine is getting a brand new flying animation in Patch 9.2.5.
      Updates to Stormwind and Orgrimmar
Stormwind and Orgrimmar have been updated with new stable areas and their purpose is still unknown.

      Renown Catch-Up Improvements
Broker Mark of Distinction will increase the Renown of your active Covenant to 60 (up from 40). Renown catch-up is accelerated through Renown 60 (was 48). You'll gain 1 Renown from the following activities in Patch 9.2.5: Mythic and Mythic+ Dungeons, Torghast Layers 9-16, defeating Shadowlands raid bosses and winning Rated Battlegrounds. New Oribos Portals
In preparation for Shadowlands Season 4, Blizzard is adding new portals to Oribos to make it easier for players to reach the new dungeon locations.

      Legendary Leveling Improvements
Leveling up base items for Legendaries will become a lot easier in Patch 9.2.5! The experience required to reach higher base item ranks has been drastically reduced to allow more players to engage in the system late in the expansion.

It only takes 3 crafts per rank to reach the next Base Item rank in Patch 9.2.5
This article was partially inspired by MrGM's video linked below. The post contains some information not present in the video. Let me know in the comments down below if there's anything else missing!
