Update: there is new information on how World Bosses will work at the bottom of the blue post compilation.
We have more details on the Season 4 raid loot changes, from clarification on currency acquisition, to tier set availability, Shards of Domination being disabled, how LFR and open world loot sources will work and more!

Hey folks, will get to some responses soon but I’ve edited the main body to reflect something that was missing, which is to say:

Unique means killing the same boss during that same week won’t give credit - killing the Tarragrue on Normal and Heroic in the same week will only give 1 kill. This means the soonest a player could get all 3 Dinars is week 6 at the earliest, not weeks 1-3 as some have speculated. Sorry for the confusion!
...

Dropping in to clarify a few common trends of questions I’ve seen around, then will get back to combing. I want to keep my responses to things related to the Raid rewards as outlined in the post:

What about Tier Sets?

  • Your 9.2 Tier Sets are still active in Season 4, and the Creation Catalyst will remain on with all of its accumulated charges. Tier Tokens won’t be added to Castle Nathria and Sanctum of Domination, as you’ll be able to upgrade any item you get to a higher ilvl piece of Tier just like you can on live right now.

Domination Sockets

  • Shards and Domination bonuses will be disabled entirely for Season 4. We didn’t want to place extra pressure on the tuning of specifically Fated Sanctum to require it, and there was enough of a class/armor type disparity at which specs/classes could potentially wear a 3-set Domination Bonus and their 4-piece vs others that it would create a weird imbalance on those weeks. We’ve also heard from player feedback that it would feel unfair for players who didn’t hold onto Domination Gear to be at such a disadvantage.

LFR/Outdoor

  • Looking for Raid will have a Season 4/Fated Difficulty, and all wings will be available at the start. This is to say if the rotation begins with Castle Nathria being the Fated raid on rotation, all of LFR Nathria will be replaced with Fated LFR Nathria, at higher item levels. LFR also counts for quest progress, so players who don’t full clear a raid for the week can collect what leftover bosses they need from there.

Additionally, the World Boss related to whichever raid is currently Fated will also be scaled up - more difficult, and dropping ilvl 285 Fated gear.

Why only Weapons/Trinkets?

  • As others in this thread have mentioned, neither of these systems are intended to replace the primary method by which players acquire gear - having all of an expansion’s raids be at current item level is something entirely new to WoW, and will create both a lot of powerful combinations of items, as well as a lot of frustration at not receiving them. We wanted the Vendors to be targeted at the pieces of loot we’d already seen are most impactful to a player such as to create an intense negative reaction when situations arise like the post mentions. Many players feel if they can’t get an Edge of Night, they can’t play Rogue in 9.1/9.2. Rarely do players feel they can’t play because they are missing boots or bracers. Focusing in on these higher-tier items keeps these vendors special, and the system focused on that protection, rather than being an alternative/replacement gearing method (which it is not).

Great Vault integration?

  • A common idea so far is if the Great Vault tokens could integrate some of these. While we’re not interested so far in extending the amount of Dinars a player can get in the season, offering some of the heroic or mythic upgrade shards in some form could absolutely be possible, though we’d still want to make certain you can only purchase Heroic or Mythic upgrade shards if you’re actually raiding some amount on those difficulties. Not a guarantee, but not an impossibility.

Oh, I forgot one -

Heroic & Mythic Upgrade shards

  • these don’t upgrade in a linear fashion. this is to say, if you have a Heroic upgrade item, it will take an LFR or Normal item, and make it into Heroic. Similarly, if you have a Mythic Upgrade Item, you can target LFR, Normal OR Heroic, and it’ll transform into Mythic. They don’t have to be in sequence - so primary Mythic raiders can choose to ignore Heroic if they desire.

...

Whichever boss (Valinor, Mortanis, Oranomonos, and Nurgash) is naturally up on a Fated Nathria week will be boosted. They’re all considered the Fated World Boss with regards to the fact that they were designed as companions to the raid Castle Nathria (though Nurgash is absolutely closer to home!)

Content creator MrGM found a glitch that allowed him to create a cross-faction guild on the Patch 9.2.5 PTR.
Blizzard clearly stated that guilds will remain single-faction in Patch 9.2.5 in a blue post about cross-faction instances.
      (Source)
Guilds will remain single-faction, and random matchmade activities like Heroic dungeons, Skirmishes, or Random Battlegrounds will all remain same-faction (both because there is less faction-driven pressure around random groups, and to avoid compromising the opt-in nature of the feature by randomly placing a queuing orc in a group with a night elf). However, content creator MrGM found a glitch that allowed him to break the system and create a cross-faction guild on the Patch 9.2.5 PTR.
The group went with a guild charter into Torghast and created a guild there. Probably any cross-faction content would work to replicate the bug. Players of the opposite faction were able to sign the guild charter it and when the guild was created, each player could invite players from their faction into the guild, meaning Alliance players could invite other Alliance players to join and vice-versa.

We have another sign of just how close we are to 9.2.5 launching, as Martin Benjamins, a well known dataminer and Community Council member, has spotted that the patch has moved to the production hardware and software side of the PTR! With yesterday's build being labeled as a release candidate and the fact that the move to this side of the PTR usually marks 1 week before the actual launch, could we be seeing the patch as soon as next week?

The big argument against this is we still haven't heard any official announcements from Blizzard on the release date, but usually with patches they do so with the Season ending soon posts, and considering Season 3 is NOT ending when patch 9.2.5 launches, this might be less of an issue. Official patch date announcements tend to come right around the first release candidate appearing so let's see if we hear anything official soon, but until then, there's a solid likelihood of 9.2.5 arriving a lot sooner than expected!

Fishbones06 is back with more glyph options, this time some very angry and very polearm-y Warriors, and we paired that with one of their earlier works with blacksmith-themed elemental glyphs as well!
Starting with the Warriors, we have some Alliance/Horde themed ones, with a banner linked to Rallying Cry and polearm + shield combo (which is a bit more of a transmog) on the Alliance side, and all the anger linked to Dragon Roar for Horde. (The image is animated, just click on it if it doesn't auto-start.)
Then there's an older concept, with some blacksmith-themed Shaman elementals:

      Source.
And finally, here are some comments from the glyph-maker:
Exactly, I started making them because if you go to any wow forum, the community has list and list of ideas for Glyphs, but no visual representation.
      ...
The thrust animation and the ready idle stance is real. The only thing I changed was the arm holding the polearm.
      ...
I agree, the artist truly are the heroes. I'm just playing and changing the assets they've provided. On classes I dont play much, I rely on class forums on what they would want to see. My goal for this, is to just bring visual representation to these ideas and to push blizzard into consider them and to see the excitement from the community for something like this.

Content creator MGM found out during Patch 9.2.5 testing that cross-faction queue works for Timewalking raids, which is a neat feature!
Cross-faction grouping comes with a few limitations; you must be Battle.net Friends with the person you're inviting or you both need to be members of the same cross-faction community. So far, we thought the feature was limited to Mythic+, raids, and Legacy raids.
It turns out you can queue up for Timewalking raids cross-faction as well. You can learn more about cross-faction play in our overview.

We're looking at some interesting Genn Greymane audio files from Patch 9.2.5. This post contains spoilers.
The audio files play during the "Eyes of the Wolf" quest when Greymane sends you to meet Calia Menethil in Brill and spy on the Forsaken as they're gathering in Tirisfal Glades for an unknown purpose.
      Transcript
Genn Greymane: You must don a disguise and travel deep into enemy territory. Do not let down your guard.
Genn Greymane: In life, Calia Menethil endured more than her share of sorrow. She may not be a typical undead, but the Forsaken are not to be trusted.
Placeholder for tweet 1528767413696733184 Sylvanas no longer unites the Forsaken and your goal is to find out what they are up to. Genn also says "Calia is no typical undead". Do you think Genn will try to hunt her down or attack the Forsaken at their gathering?
I wouldn't be surprised if he secretly planned a coup. After all, it was Sylvanas who killed his son Liam Greymane.
Most of the Patch 9.2.5 content remains encrypted, so we don't know exactly what will transpire until the patch hits live servers.
