500 Mount Achievement Yeti Mount To Be Changed

Recommended Posts

It seems community feedback was loud and got heard, and will be incorporated swiftly! After seeing the 500 mounts collected achievement reward, the Carrier Yeti Carrier Yeti, the community immediately commented on how underwhelming it is for such a hard achievement, and we now have confirmation that it will indeed be replaced!

Yep, we agree. The yeti will be changed in a future alpha build, though not necessarily the next one. Feedback like this is always useful, and please take this as a reminder that things you see in alpha builds are subject to change.

What on earth? That thing is just a Winter Veil Yeti recolored. Can they not create something new?

Yes, that is in fact what they are doing. Which is the point of the article 😄

Wow, that was fast guys! 5 years to create a 500 mount achievement and this is what they thought would be an acceptable mount or even model. Another reskin to add to the other 30% of your mounts which are also reskins for this achievement. amazing!

I think the 500 mount reward should be a black brontosaurus with a repair vendor and a black market AH vendor as well to offset the green one with the regular AH

that would be worth 500

Literally every mount is just a "reskin". Aside from the few mounts that offer multiple riders or utility options such as vendors or transmog, they are all the same. Would be nice to see the mount system re-imagined because you can only do so much with the looks of them.

Mounts with abilities, even abilities based on class/race/spec could be cool. Mounts that, instead of being a drop for killing X number of something or the drop being percent-based, why not make the option of mount taming? It could essentially be a profession, or possibly a class (looking at you hunters and druids or warlocks because demons yo!) specific profession. You initially "catch" a wild creature, then you have to "train" it to be ride-able. The more unique the creature, the tougher/longer to train. You could then either sell it or keep it for yourself. There could be a bank like spot next to the Mount Trainer Trainer (I had to, sorry) where you could stable your mounts while they are in training. We already have part of this system with world quests and riding certain creatures where we have to perform certain actions to tame them in order to complete the quest.

Would certainly open up a lot more doors in the world of mounts and add a new fun element to the game.

"Hey we noticed you have every mount in the game, here, you missed one"

Maybe they could instead give a buff to flying speeeeeeed & unlock flying in all zones (if by some insane chance anyone who got this many mounts didn't just incidentally knock off all the pathfinder unlocks while they were at it).

For 500, I would release a freshly updated Devilsaur with all the bells and whistles of vendors.

Researchers Under Fire gets several changes in today's hotfixes, and Prismatic Bauble sees its cooldown halved -  but only temporarily.
      June 1 (Source)
      Items and Rewards
Prismatic Bauble’s cooldown has been reduced to 60 seconds (was 120 seconds) for one month. Developers’ notes: For one month, the Prismatic Bauble’s cooldown has been reduced and can be purchased from Jepetto Joybuzz and his Clockwork Assistant in The Wonderworks in Dalaran, floating above the Broken Isles. The Wonderworks can be found down the steps from the Violet Citadel and across the street from Simply Enchanting. Be warned! This very expensive cosmetic item will only have a reduced cooldown and be available from these sources for a month before returning to its original cooldown and being exclusively sold by Dalaran’s legendary and elusive Mad Merchant. Quests
Researchers Under Fire Developers’ notes: Players were being delayed by a lack of Altar Stones which we are addressing. Even with more Altar Stones the timer is still super tight. We think another 30 seconds will allow groups to perfect their runs and be more in line with the Titan version once players become more familiar. Added more spawns of Altar Stones as well as made them spawn quicker. The Sundered Flame Forces are being delayed giving players an extra 30 seconds to complete the Investigation of the Djaradin Ruins. Wrath of the Lich King Classic
Commendation of Bravery is again available from Veteran Arena vendors: Argex Irongut in Gadgetzan, Kezzik the Striker in Area 52, and Nargle Lashcord in Dalaran.

This is a particularly hilarious one, as it seems the Diablo event Treasure Goblins don't just jump out of portals, they also send players into them! While players have been farming them constantly, the goblins have had enough and are now using next-level tactics to get rid of as many players as possible.
This particular one, caught by MemeStarKeem (or rather, the goblin caught them), used the players' desire for the mount/cosmetics and lured them right on top of one of the capital city portals!

This is exactly the kind of stuff that creates memories that will stay with you for years and years, and is one of the reasons events like these are just great.

Here's the Mythic+ Tier List for the fourth week of Dragonflight Season 2!
      DISCLAIMER
The following post is based on statistics provided by Subcreation, a website that gathers various Mythic+ data from live servers. Please note that the tier list is biased toward the top end because it only looks at the top 100 keys per dungeon per affix and ignores keys below +16 and untimed runs.
For the reasons mentioned above, the data presented here will always differ from the Mythic Tier Lists maintained by Petko.
      Data Reliability
The data used in the post comes from Subcreation, a site maintained by Alcaras. Subcreation provides statistical analysis of Mythic+ dungeons, raids, and PvP in Shadowlands, and the data is provided via the Warcraft Logs API and Raider.io. If you'd like to support Subcreation, you can check out their Patreon.
      How the Data is Calculated
The site looks at the top 100 keys per dungeon per affix across all regions and examines their raider.io scores. For each dungeon and specialization, the site takes the lower bound of a 95% confidence interval of the top 100 runs for each specialization. The site then averages these lower bounds, one per dungeon, to get an overall average lower bound for each spec, which is finally used to create the tier list.
The site takes the lower bounds of the 95% confidence interval calculated and then clusters them into 6 buckets using the Ckmeans algorithm. You can find more information by reading the site's FAQ.
Tanks, Healers, Melee, and Ranged are all on the same scale. They're just shown separately for easier comparison across roles.
Mythic+ Tier List for Dragonflight Season 2 Week 4
The specs are ranked based on their lb_ci which stands for the lower bound of a 95% confidence interval. If a certain tier is missing, it's not occupied by any specialization.
The following tier list is for this week's affixes: Fortified, Afflicted, Raging.
The images from Subcreation are currently experiencing some issues as classes are listed in the incorrect order, but you will find the correct order in text format.

Dawn of the Infinite megadungeon is currently dropping non-upgradable item level 421 loot on the 10.1.5 PTR.
Dawn of the Infinite megadungeon became available for testing this week and content creator MrGM confirmed on Twitter item drops have Item Level 421. As you can see in the image, the drop was a trinket (Mirror of Fractured Tomorrows) with no upgrade ranks.
We're not sure if it's intended because loot tables for the dungeon haven't been implemented yet, but for now, the items cannot be upgraded on the PTR with the new system.
Placeholder for tweet 1664278084055617543 For comparison, Mythic+ Dungeons drop Item Level 402 Veteran loot that can be upgraded to Item Level 424.

A new candy bucket has been added for Hallow's End in Patch 10.1.5.
The candy bucket can be equipped in the Off-Hand Slot.

Patch 10.1.5 brings a revamp to the Headless Horseman encounter inside Scarlet Monastery, but we don't have any details beyond that.
