Community Fix for Controversial New Hogger Model

Recommended Posts

While there are many things that are being found with the Dragonflight Alpha roaring right now, one of the most iconic WoW enemies got a face-lift, and the community wasn't too thrilled about it.

When a reddit thread reaches 715 comments, you know something is controversial, and the new Hogger model was just that, as many felt like it was very much downplaying his ferocity and making things more friendly. Here are some of the comments:

Looks alot more like "hugger" than hogger. This new model isnt menacing or dangerous looking at all - Milfius
Yeah it looks off, too Disney-Fied with the eyes etc. same goes for the furbolg. Even sadder when heroes of the storm did it right and they went in a cuter art direction - Beerbaron1886
His HotS model is so great. This model, while nice, nerfs his menace quite a bit. - chasedogman
Old Hogger looks menacing. New Hogger looks coked out. - FacetiousTomato
Nah, old hogger was coked out, new Hogger is sober and really into pour over coffee ? - pigfeet2002
Still thinks looks like a doggo now. Who's a good boy. - DCC808
That ain't Hogger. That's Generic Rehabilitated Gnoll. - Agleza

There's plenty more comments over in the thread, which is at the very top of the WoW reddit.

Now, one of the above comments may actually be on to something, as Blizzard may not be done with ol' Hogger yet, with them just implementing the new gnoll skin on him and not having upgraded him to Hogger status quite yet.

Whatever the case may be, SunwellDaiquiri took it upon themselves to rectify the situation, and bring some aggro back to Hogger with a very quick (but good) fix:

So what do you think? Was it a good fix? Was a fix even needed?

As mentioned in previous article, his HotS model should have been used as a point of reference. This fan art does a pretty good job on improving him. Besides, he deserves unique model. This looks like they just used a generic model, even color scheme doesn't match exactly.

We've heard several reports that alchemy experimentation has been re-enabled on live servers! Blizzard previously disabled basic and advanced experimentation back in Thursday's hotfixes due to a bug, and it seems the profession feature is back, according to the reddit post below, as well as other player reports. So go out there and see what you can do with all those flasks and potions!

Many players seem to be having trouble getting their Feldrake mount Twitch rewards and are  asking for help and asking what to do. There doesn't seem to be a definitive answer or solution, unfortunately, but several players have offered a couple of potential workarounds that might work, so let's take a look.
Again none of this is guaranteed, but considering responses to tickets are "we can't help you, but are looking into it", they may be worth a try. So first off, actually claiming the mount seems to be working, as in clicking the claim button on Twitch, however players aren't finding the mount in the game.
First things first, make sure to check in the right place - the top of the mount journal where the mount will appear as a present box, similar to the Dragon Kite for pets.

The second thing you can try is re-syncing/reconnecting your battle.net with your Twitch account, waiting a few minutes, and hope that updates the process, as it did work for some players (source). You can go to your battle.net connections page and try reconnecting Twitch there.

And lastly, if the above didn't work, you may be one of the unfortunate players affected by a known issue Blizzard are working on. This will get resolved eventually, so just be patient and wait for a fix, but know you're not alone with this issue.

Hopefully some of this helps and you can get your Feldrake soon, or at least puts you at ease that Blizzard are working on it.

Find out how to get a free 34-slot bag fast on live servers!
Misty Satchel is looted from the Misty Treasure Chest object located behind the waterfall in Crumbling Life Archway (The Waking Shores).  If you're using TomTom, here are the exact coordinates:
/way The Waking Shores 58.71 53.13 Free 34-Slot Bag Jump down from the top of the waterfall and you will find a secret cave behind it.

Inside the cave, you will find a chest, which contains the Misty Satchel bag.

Thanks to Reddit user crispycrown for noticing.
