Gather your allies and heed the call to arms as Azeroth prepares to face the imminent threat blowing in from Northrend. But if you’ve been on a hiatus, you may just need an assist getting back in fighting shape. To help you, we’ve put together a support guide to make sure your account is ready for your journeys ahead.

Returning to Azeroth with Account Recovery

As heroes across the world return to answer the call, you may need assistance logging into your account.  Our Can’t Log In? service can help you recover access to your account in multiple ways. You’ll be able to choose to reset your password, unlock an account, remove an authenticator, and more. If our system doesn’t recognize your email address, our support article can help you. If you no longer have access to your account and suspect your account was hacked, follow these steps to secure your computer, request a restoration, and attach an authenticator to your account for a more secure Blizzard account.

If you’re stuck or require additional assistance, Contact Support to connect with a helpful Game Master.

Getting Help In-Game

Our in-game Help Request section allows you to search through thousands of articles or use great self-help tools like restoring a deleted/disenchanted item, undeleting a WoW character, or moving a stuck character, all without waiting for a Game Master. You’ll also soon find an easily accesible collection of information at the top of the page, such as Known Issues, Breaking News, and useful self-service options. Trending articles can also quickly point out issues you may be experiencing, as well as workarounds to help keep your journey into Northrend moving forward.

To access the in-game help section, open the Game Menu by clicking on the Red Question Mark icon or press Escape on your keyboard to access the Game Menu, then select Support.

Here you’ll find a wealth of information such as:

  • Breaking News: Important information that may impact your play session
  • Trending Articles: Popular knowledge articles that have been helpful to other players recently
  • Self-Service Options: Helpful services which will get you back in the game without needing to wait for a Game Master

Can’t find exactly what you’re looking for on the front page? Use the Search bar to look for the quest, NPC, skill, spell, monster, boss, or issue you’re experiencing. The Support Portal will serve up relevant articles on the issue, as well as workarounds, troubleshooting steps, and more.

If you’ve found an issue that hasn’t been listed yet, click the Contact Support tab to report your issue to our Game Masters. You can also click Submit a bug or suggestion to let the development team know about issues you encounter while in the game.

Getting a Fresh Start

The launch of Wrath of the Lich King Classic pre-patch brings with it new “Fresh Start” realms for players who wish to experience starting a new character and playing alongside a new community of others without feeling behind the curve. These realms come with a few stipulations:

  • For at least 90 days, you will not be allowed to boost a character on Fresh Start realms.
  • For at least 90 days, Fresh Start realms will not be available destinations for character transfers.
  • Death Knights cannot be created on these realms without a level 55 character on that same realm.

All WoW Classic and Burning Crusade Classic dungeons and zones will be available on these realms, and Northrend will become available with the launch of Wrath of the Lich King Classic.

Welcome back, heroes! Be sure to keep an eye on the official site for more information in the coming days as we prepare for the pre-patch on August 30.

Battlemasters are not going anywhere, so you can still talk to them if you prefer to.

Blizzard today announced the launch of two fresh Wrath Classic PvP realms. Both will launch when the maintenance in each region is finished.
Both realms will have restrictions identical to other fresh Wrath Classic realms.

When Wrath Classic realm maintenance is finished today, you’ll find a new Fresh Start realm available in this region: Angerforge (PvP).
As with previous Fresh Start realms, only new characters can be created here. All transfers to and from Angerforge are disabled, level boosts may not be applied to characters on this realm, and Death Knights may not be created here until your character is leveled up.
Over the last few weeks, we’ve been highly focused on realm populations and making adjustments to promote the long-term success of all realms. We’re looking forward to seeing the Angerforge community join the story.
