Returning Covenant Abilities Remain Covenant-Themed in Dragonflight

Some Covenant Abilities have become talents in the Dragonflight expansion, but their spell animations haven't been updated to fit the respective classes. Instead, they remain themed after Shadowlands Covenants.

Demon Hunters for example gain access to Elysian Decree Elysian Decree in Dragonflight through talents. The spell animation remains Kyrian-themed, which doesn't exactly fit the Demon Hunter class fantasy. As a Demon Hunter, I'd expect to have green / fel-themed spell animations.

Similarly, The Hunt The Hunt remains to be themed after the Night Fae Covenant of Ardenweald with its purple/blue tint spell animation.

To preserve class fantasy, it would be great if Blizzard updated the Covenant Ability animation color to match the classes better. As Reddit user cahillross points out, The Hunt is handled correctly in Heroes of the Storm, where Illidan launches himself toward an enemy, briefly entering Demon Form. Something like that could be implemented in World of Warcraft as well with Metamorphosis when the ability begins to charge.

On the other hand, not all Covenant Abilities that have been baked into talents are a miss. For instance, Demon Hunters have access to Fodder to the Flame Fodder to the Flame and the Necrolord spell animation fits the class perfectly.

What do you think about the Covenant Ability spell animations? Should they be updated or do you feel like it's perfectly fine they're left in their current state? Let me know in the comments down below!

I mean...the easy way to explain us being able to do this is "borrowed power was a permanent gift in this case".    I don't really care what graphic effects are themed after.

I WOULD however, love to see some of the more egregious ground covering particle storm nonsense taken out.    Standing in Melee is rough even with the effects option.

I think most of the fanbase would still love the class-themed animations to reinforce class identity over Covenant ones. Maybe also adjust names and tooltips, and it's not far-fetched given the Warriors are getting Kyrian Potion as a talent choice in their class tree, under a new name and icon (thank God for more anti-Necrotic options other than being either type of a Dwarf).

Taking a reddish-orange, say, Warlord's Spear over blueish Spear of Bastion any day.

Currently, on the Dragonflight Beta, you won't reach Level 70 just by completing the campaign. You also need to run dungeons or complete side quests.
The first gating occurs in Azure Span where you need to be Level 66 to continue the Dragonflight campaign. However, you will be safe if you complete at least 3 dungeons at Level 60 and higher and you won't need to complete any side quests.
The second gating, however, is more noticeable and you will need to reach Level 70 to be able to start the final two chapters of the Dragonflight campaign.

Dragonflight includes a ton of side quests that you can easily find by opening the map for each zone and they reward you with reputation that increases your Renown with the main factions, so you would probably complete them anyway.

What do you think about gating the main campaign behind levels? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
