Dragonflight Class Design Progress

Blizzard have published a post explaining where the Dragonflight class design process will be at with the next Beta build, as they note that the focus will now be on tuning and bug fixes instead of design iteration on the class trees. However, there may also be more changes coming to the trees in the future if needed.

We feel it would be useful to let everyone know where we are in the development of Dragonflight classes and talent design. With the next Beta/PTR build, we’re transitioning away from spending the majority of our time on the design iteration of the new talent trees, and we’re now primarily focused on fixing bugs and tuning the game. This includes balancing talent choices against each other and tuning the throughput of each class. We want to ensure that we release an expansion of the highest quality for this incredible community.

That being said, the new talent systems constitute a tremendous change to the game and represent a fundamental overhaul to how classes and specializations are customized by players. It is our expectation that we will be making adjustments based on your feedback throughout the expansion’s lifetime. We greatly appreciate all of your testing and feedback thus far, and we’re looking forward to delivering improvements to all of the talent trees in content updates throughout Dragonflight.

I figured as much, trying to change the talent system for all classes and specs is HUGE! it will be worth the wait, and to see how things progress. i just hope we don't see a "go to" class/spec just because its more developed than the others.

      Currently, on the Dragonflight Beta, you won't reach Level 70 just by completing the campaign. You also need to run dungeons or complete side quests.
      The first gating occurs in Azure Span where you need to be Level 66 to continue the Dragonflight campaign. However, you will be safe if you complete at least 3 dungeons at Level 60 and higher and you won't need to complete any side quests.
      The second gating, however, is more noticeable and you will need to reach Level 70 to be able to start the final two chapters of the Dragonflight campaign.

      Dragonflight includes a ton of side quests that you can easily find by opening the map for each zone and they reward you with reputation that increases your Renown with the main factions, so you would probably complete them anyway.

      Here are the Death Knight changes that went live in Dragonflight Beta Build 45698.
      Death Knight
      Blood
      Heart Strike - Instantly strike the target and 1 other nearby enemy, causing [ 35.92% of Attack Power ] Physical damage, and reducing enemies' movement speed by 20% for 8 sec, plus 1 0 Runic Power per additional enemy struck. Frost
      Rime Normal: Obliterate has a 45% chance to cause your next Howling Blast to consume no runes and deal 225% 300% additional damage.<!--Spec:End--> Frostscythe: Obliterate has a 45% chance and Frostscythe has a 22.5% chance to cause your next Howling Blast to consume no runes and deal 150% 225% additional damage. Obliterate - A brutal attack with both weapons that deals a total of [ 89.5% 98% of Attack Power ] Physical damage. Festering Strike renamed to Improved Festering Strike.       On live servers, the Frog'it World Quest required for "From A to Zereth", is currently available in the US region.
      If you've been waiting a long time for the quest to spawn, you can now complete it on live servers, at least in the US region, according to reports.
      Completing the quest is required for From A to Zereth, and ultimately, the Back from the Beyond meta-achievement that will be removed from the game soon.
      From A to Zereth rewards the Cryptic Aurelid mount.

      Inscription is a new profession added in Wrath of the Lich King Classic. Scribes can create glyphs that enhance spells and abilities, and craft trinkets, and off-hand items.
      The maximum skill cap for Professions is increasing to 450 in Wrath Classic. Professions provide the player with various beneficial buffs in the latest Classic installment. Alchemy, for example, gives you Mixology that increases flask and elixir stats and duration.
