Official Controller Support in Dragonflight?

Recommended Posts

Qm9QCIt.jpg

We’ve datamined some new assets tied to Controller Bindings in this week’s Dragonflight Beta build that indicate official controller support may be coming soon.

The icons show support for various types of controllers, mainly Xbox and Playstation. With the Microsoft acquisition of Activision Blizzard, a console port of the game does not seem so unlikely.

I can't imagine WoW working on consoles, FF14 works so well because the combat is WAY slower and WAY less reactionary, it also has a metric ton less abilities per a class, there is 0 chance of making a viable hot bar in WoW on a controller.

I agree - the idea of using a controller for WoW seems relaxing, but you're hamstringing yourself so much so by doing it. It technically can be done, but kb+m is just superior in this context.

Item Level 402 catch-up gear from Time Rifts cannot be converted into Tier Set pieces using the Revival Catalyst in Patch 10.1.5.
Fractures in Time adds catch-up gear that you get by completing Time Rifts either from the vendors or bosses. We're talking about 402 Rank 1/8 Veteran gear here.
MrGM found out on the 10.1.5 PTR that catch-up gear pieces cannot be currently converted into Tier Set pieces using the Revival Catalyst.
Placeholder for tweet 1676574906169925633 Upping it to 4/8 didn't help either. We don't know if this is inteded or a bug, but we'll keep you updated once we learn more.

A new week starts in Warcraft with the weekly maintenance in each region and we've updated our daily and weekly to-do list to help you prioritize your goals in the game, so don't forget to check out what's new!
      Dragonflight Patch 10.1 Week #10: To-Do List
      I Haven't Played Patch 10.1 Yet
If you haven't played the patch yet, make sure to complete the following before proceeding further:
Collect the eight new Dragonriding Glyphs located in Zaralak Cavern to unlock new Dragonriding Talents. Complete the available Patch 10.1 campaign chapters to unlock the Winding Slitherdrake mount. What's New This Week?
The Revival Catalyst is available for the fourth week and you should have accrued 4 charges by now. Check out our guide to learn how to convert eligible items into tier sets. Darkmoon Faire started on Sunday. Make use of the +10% buff to XP and Reputation gains. The Winds of the Sanctuary event ends with next week's reset. It comes with a buff that increases Experience and Reputation gains by 50% (except for Loamm Niffen). Now is a good time to level up alts! The buff stacks with the Darkmoon Faire buff! Complete 5 Timewalking Dungeons for the weekly quest to receive 1 piece of Item Level 415 gear. Timewalking Dungeons drop Item Level 389 Rank 1/8 Adventurer gear.
      Other Goals
Defeat Zaqali Elders (world boss) for a chance at Item Level 415 loot before you claim a reward from the Great Vault. Complete the weekly Researchers on Fire event in Zaralek Cavern to receive. The first completion of the week will grant you 250 reputation with Loamm Niffen, a piece of Suffusion gear,  Flightstones, and a chance at Devourer Lobstrok (battle pet) and Flaming Shalewing Subject 01 (mount). Complete the new "A Worthy Ally: Loamm Niffen" weekly quest by gathering 1,500 reputation with the new faction to receive Scentsational Niffen Treasures. It contains 1 Spark of Shadowflame, gold, 500 reputation with the Loamm Niffen, Flightstones, and gear. Alternatively, you can get a Spark of Shadowflame by completing the "Proving the War" PvP quest offered by Malicia. Complete the weekly "Aiding the Accord" quest in Valdrakken by gathering 3,000 reputation with any of the five major factions and a faction-specific event to receive 500 reputation with a faction of your choice, 250 Dragon Isles Supplies, and a piece of gear (not guaranteed). Complete Fyrakk's Assault for reputation, Item Level 405 Veteran gear, Flightstone, and gear upgrading tokens. Clear Aberrus and work on unlocking slots in the Great Vault for next week. Prioritize completing your 4-piece set bonus. All bosses are now available on Raid Finder if you don't raid and want to experience the story. Complete Zaralek Cavern content: kill rares for reputation, events for Unearthed Fragrant Coins, Flightstones, and other rewards. Go Sniffenseeking with Myrrith to get Loamm Niffen reputation and Zaralek Glowspores. If you have multiple alts, you can funnel BoA rep tokens to your main. Clear at least 8 Mythic Dungeons to unlock all item choices in the Great Vault. Collect Honor in PvP to unlock more item choices in the Great Vault. The drop chance of Flightstones has increased with Season 2 launch, focus on upgrading your gear! Recommended Addons
Here are some Season 2 addons and WeakAuras to make objectives tracking easier.
Tama's Season 2 Helper -- Dragonflight Season 2 WeakAura with useful tracking capabilities. AzerPUG's DragonRider -- Displays Glyph location on the map. Did we miss anything? Let us know in the comments down below!

It's been a really big week for Aberrus, as we see many changes all over. Interestingly most of them are not a result of the tuning changes, at least not directly. We see Arcane get dethroned, Marksmanship and Fire surge, Frost DK just show up at the top, and more.
      Mythic
      Overall Damage 95th Percentile
The top 3 is looking very different from last week, and it isn't even tuning-related! Frost DK has skyrocketed from 10th into 1st, as both it and Demonology took Arcane down a peg or two. Devastation also finds itself 2 down, followed by a slightly rising Unholy. We see the first direct tuning effect down in 7th, as Shadow loses 3 spots to its AoE nerfs, allowing fire to move past it in its huge leap from 16th into 6th! The Shamans stick together once more with Elemental still on top, as Enhancement moves past Arms. Retribution falls down to the bottom 3 this week, as Marksmanship has moved out permanently, finding itself way up in 11th, with some help from the tuning!

95th percentile Mythic data by Warcraft Logs.
      Overall Damage All Percentiles
The slow-moving generalist bracket still sees Arcane on top, but Frost DK is right behind it, with Demonology close by as well. Fire makes an even bigger move here, without assistance from the tuning, as it gains 15 spots in 5th! The Warriors move past the Shamans, both classes sticking close together. Havoc and Marksmanship pull out of the bottom, leaving Outlaw and Beast Mastery to join Feral in the final 3.

All percentiles Mythic data by Warcraft Logs.
      Boss Only Damage All Percentiles
Very little has changed in the direct damage charts, aside from Fire rising as it has everywhere else. Subtletly and Devastation are also up a little, and Frost DK has moved to just outside the top 10.

All percentiles Mythic data by Warcraft Logs.
      Heroic
The big news here is Marksmanship making use of its tuning buffs, moving from the bottom part of the middle right up near the top, gaining 13 spots and pushing Unholy out of 2nd!

All percentiles Heroic data by Warcraft Logs.

Meanwhile, if you're looking for more information you can check out our Dragonflight class guides, Aberrus boss guides, as well as more data from Warcraft Logs here.
