Take a look at what to expect with this week’s update to the PTR:

CLASSES

  • NEW TALENT SYSTEM
    • DEATH KNIGHT
      • Blood
        • Shattering Bone – Damage reduced by 40%. Now properly deals increased damage when Tombstone consumes multiple Bone Shield charges.
      • Frost
        • Everfrost – Damage per stack increased to 6% (was 4%).
        • Biting Cold – Increases Remorseless Winter damage by 35% (was 30%).
        • Chill Streak – No longer costs runic power. Now costs 1 Rune.
    • DEMON HUNTER
      • Class Tree
        • Soul Rending – Metamorphosis leech bonus reduced to 5/10% (was 10/20%).
      • Havoc
        • Metamorphosis – Duration reduced to 24 seconds (was 25 seconds).
        • Improved Chaos Strike – Bonus Chaos Strike damage reduced to 10% (was 15%).
        • Improved Fel Rush – Bonus Fel Rush damage reduced to 20% (was 25%).
        • Initiative – Bonus critical strike chance reduced to 12% (was 15%).
        • Momentum – Bonus damage reduced to 8% (was 10%).
        • Essence Break – Bonus to Chaos Strike/Blade Dance damage reduced to 80% (was 100%).
        • Furious Gaze – Duration reduced to 10 seconds (was 12 seconds).
        • Shattered Destiny – Fury spent per cooldown extention increased to 8 (was 7).
        • Dancing with Fate – Bonus to Blade Dance final slash damage reduced to 20/40% (was 25/50%).
        • Growing Inferno – Bonus per tick Immolation Aura damage reduced to 5/10% (was 8/15%).
        • Burning Wound – Damage over time effect reduced by 20%.
        • Burning Wound – Bonus Immolation Aura damage increased to 50% (was 45%).
        • Burning Wound – Fixed a bug that was causing Immolation Aura damage bonus to be applied twice.
        • Ragefire – Portion of damage saved per critical strike reduced to 40% (was 50%).
    • DRUID
      • Class Tree
        • Natural Recovery – Effectiveness reduced to 2/4% (was 3/6%).
      • Balance
        • Umbral Embrace – Now increases the damage of Wrath and Starfire by 25/50% (was 50/100%).
        • Astral Smolder – Now causes targets to languish for an additional 20%/40% (was 4%/8%).
        • A new connection exists between Lunar Shrapnel and Force of Nature.
        • A new connection exists between Orbit Breaker and Astral Communion.
        • A new connection exists between Rattle the Stars/Starweaver and Wild Mushroom.
        • Warrior of Elune has been moved to row 10.
        • Sundered Firmament has been moved to the right side of the tree.
        • Nature’s Balance has been moved to row 2.
        • Stellar Innervation has been moved to row 5.
        • Stellar Inspiration has been removed.
        • Twin Moons has been moved to row 5 and is no longer a choice against Stellar Flare.
        • Orbit Breaker – Triggers every 30th Shooting Star (was every 20th).
        • Astral Communion – Generates 60 Astral Power (was 75).
        • Primordial Arcanic Pulsar – Triggers after spending 600 Astral Power (was 300).
        • Sundered Firmament – Now creates a Fury of Elune at 20% effectiveness (was 25%).
        • Elune’s Guidance – Reduces the Astral Power cost of Starsurge by 5 (was 10) and the Astral Power cost of Starfall by 8 (was 15).
        • Rattle the Stars – Reduces the cost of Starfall and Starsurge by 5% per stack (was 10%).
        • Starsurge – Costs 40 Astral Power (was 30). Damage reduced by 35%.
        • Starfall – Damage reduced by 35%.
        • Shooting Stars – Generates 2 Astral Power (was 3). Damage reduced by 50%.
      • Restoration
        • Reforestation – Now on the Personal Resource Display.
        • All healing spells reduced by 10%.
    • HUNTER
      • Beast Mastery
        • Dire Beast – Damage increased by 400%.
        • Barbed Shot – Damage reduced by 23%.
    • MAGE
      • Arcane
        • Arcane Surge – The spell damage bonus from the Rune of Power cast from Arcane Surge is now applied to its damage. Mana regeneration reduced to 425% (was 450%), and damage reduced by 30%.
        • Arcane Missiles – Damage reduced by 25%.
        • Arcane Power – Spell damage reduced to 20% (was 25%).
        • Arcane Echo – Now scales with Mastery. Damage reduced by 25%.
        • Enlightened – Increases Arcane damage by 6% while above 70% Mana (was 8%).
        • Mana Gem – Cooldown now reduced by Shifting Power.
        • Touch of the Magi – Now accumulates 20% of damage (was 25%).
    • MONK
      • Brewmaster
        • Attenuation – Cooldown reduction can now trigger up to 10 times (was 5).
      • Mistweaver
        • Ancient Teachings – Now has a 30 yard range (was 20 yards). Now on the Personal Resource Display.
        • Secret Infusion – Increased stats granted to 8/15% (was 5/10%).
        • Vivify – Reduced healing by 25% for Mistweaver.
        • Rapid Diffusion – Now does not override existing Renewing Mists that are longer than 6 seconds.
        • Attenuation – Cooldown reduction can now trigger up to 10 times (was 5).
      • Windwalker
        • Attenuation – Cooldown reduction can now trigger up to 10 times (was 5).
        • Fury of Xuen – Now grants flat 10% Haste rather than a stat value.
    • PALADIN
      • Class Tree
        • Greater Judgement – Judgement now causes the target to take 20% increased damage from your next Holy Power ability (was 25%).
        • Seal of Crusader – Increases Holy Damage taken by 3/6% (was 5/10%).
        • Divine Purpose – Increases the damage of your next holy damage spender by 15% (was 20%).
        • Zealot’s Paragon – Extension reduced to 0.5 seconds (was 1 second).
      • Holy
        • Power of the Silver Hand – Now triggers twice a minute on average. Now on the Personal Resource Display.
        • Tyr’s Deliverance – Now on the Personal Resource Display.
        • Awakening – Now grants Avenging Wrath for 8 seconds (was 10 seconds).
        • Saved by the Light – Absorb shield has been increased by 100%.
      • Protection
        • Light of the Titans – Healing reduced by 25%.
      • Retribution
        • Templar’s Verdict – Damage reduced by 35%.
        • Final Verdict – Damage reduced by 35%
        • Zeal – Judgment now causes your next 2 auto attacks to occur 30% faster (was your next 3).
        • Ashes to Dust – Now 20% chance to reset Wake of Ashes instead of Blade of Justice (was 35%).
        • Execution Sentence – Deals 10% of damage done (was 20%).
        • Templar’s Vindication – Changed to a 15% chance of a 10/20% Templar’s Verdict (was 15/30% chance of a 15/30% Templar’s Verdict).
        • Divine Storm – Damage reduced by 35%.
    • PRIEST
      • Class Tree
        • Binding Heals – Casting Flash Heal on allies with Binding Heals talented now applies Atonement to the Priest. Only applies to Discipline specialization.
    • ROGUE
      • Class Tree
        • Alacrity – Now grants 1% Haste per stack, up to 5 stacks (was 2%, to 4 stacks).
        • Thistle Tea – Total bonus Mastery granted reduced by 20%.
        • Find Weakness – Armor ignore value reduced to 15/30% (was 20/40%).
      • Assassination
        • All ability damage reduced by 34%.
        • Rupture – Damage increased by 22%.
        • Venomous Wounds – Energy restore reduced to 5 (was 7).
        • Improved Poisons – Bonus poison chance reduced to 5/10% (was 10/20%).
        • Venom Rush – Energy restore reduced to 5 (was 8).
        • Vicious Venoms – Additional Nature damage values restored to 10/20% (was unintentionally 15/20%).
        • Systemic Failure – Bonus damage reduced to 20% (was 30%).
        • Twist the Knife – Bonus duration reduced to 2 seconds (was 3 seconds).
        • Doomblade – Additional Bleed damage reduced to 20% (was 30%).
        • Deathmark – Damage increased by 227%.
        • Tiny Toxic Blade – Bonus damage increased to 500% (was 300%).
        • Poison Bomb – Damage increased by 200%.
        • Sepsis – Damage increased by 60%.
        • Kingsbane – Damage increased by 50%.
      • Outlaw
        • All ability damage reduced by 14%.
        • Opportunity – Sinister Strike chance reduced to 30% (was 35%).
        • Weaponmaster – Bonus strike chance reduced to 5% (was 10%).
        • Combat Potency – Energy regeneration reduced to 20% (was 30%).
        • Swift Slasher – Bonus attack speed per combo point reduced to 2% (was 3%).
        • Fatal Flourish – Chance to restore energy reduced to 60% (was 75%).
        • Quick Draw – Bonus Pistol Shot damage reduced to 20% (was 50%).
        • Summarily Dispatched – Duration reduced to 8/15 seconds (was 10/20 seconds).
        • Greenskin’s Wickers – Bonus Pistol Shot damage reduced to 200% (was 300%).
      • Subtlety
        • All ability damage reduced by 17%.
    • SHAMAN
      • Class Tree
        • Brimming with Life – Now grants Stamina in arena matches even when Reincarnation is on cooldown.
      • Enhancement
        • Corrected an issue that caused Gathering Storms to scale damage incorrectly.
        • Corrected an issue that prevented Crashing Storms from increasing Crash Lightning’s maximum buff stack cap.
        • Corrected an issue with Maelstrom Weapon not counting the correct amount of stacks consumed.
        • Stormflurry – Procs no longer benefit or consume Stormblast’s bonus nature damage effect for Stormstrike.
        • Windstrike – Cooldown lowered to 7.5 seconds to match Stormstrike’s cooldown.
        • Thorim’s Invocation – Will now default to Lightning Bolt if you have not used either Lightning Bolt or Chain Lightning before pressing Ascendance.
        • Thorim’s Invocation – Will no longer consume or benefit from more than 5 Maelstrom Weapon stacks per Windstrike.
        • Corrected an issue where the 5% bonus from Raging Maelstrom wasn’t functioning when Overflowing Maelstrom was selected.
        • Lightning Lasso – Now properly affected by Mastery: Enhanced Elements.
        • Lightning Lasso – Now affected by the Lightning Feral Spirit’s nature damage increase buff.
        • Doom Winds – Global cooldown now scales with Haste.
        • Ice Strike – No longer improperly not usable while silenced.
      • Restoration
        • Earthliving Weapon – Healing increased by 250%.
    • WARRIOR
      • Class Tree
        • Refactored all bleed effects to ensure they receive damage modifiers correctly and can critical strike correctly.
        • Barbaric Training (Protection) – Revenge now deals 25% increased damage (was 20%).
      • Fury
        • Slaughtering Strikes – Now correctly consumed by Rampage when using Annihilator.
        • Berserker Stance – Now increases auto attack damage by 15% (was 10%).
      • Protection
        • Champion’s Bulwark – Now correctly doesn’t consume charges of Shield Block or trigger cooldowns of Shield Block.
        • Violet Outburst – Now grants 100% increased Rage generation for Shield Slam and Thunderclap and includes benefits any existing rage generation modifiers on those abilities. Its tooltip is now updated to correctly represent its functionality.

PLAYER VERSUS PLAYER

  • RATED SOLO SHUFFLE
    • Cross-faction has been enabled for Rated Solo Shuffle. Horde and Alliance can now match and play against each other.
  • CLASSES
    • WARRIOR
      • Class Tree
        • Bounding Stride – Cooldown reduction now has 50% effectiveness in PvP. Speed increase now has 70% effectiveness in PvP.
        • Double Time – Cooldown reduction now has 50% effectiveness in PvP.

USER INTERFACE AND ACCESSIBILITY

  • NEW HUD UI
    • ACTION BARS
      • 3 extra bars are added, enable them by going to Options > Gameplay > Action bars.
    • The Guild banner art in the minimap have been updated.
  • Added an option to play a sound when the player is in range to use the Interact Key.

Looks like my paladin will not be created.....just when it was actually enjoyable, they nerf it....but then if they didn't do that, it wouldn't be a Retribution Paladin.

      The Dragon Isles truly are dangerous as it seems we're on the precipice of another Corrupted Blood incident! Many players are reporting a spreading disease, a little different and less deadly this time, but seemingly no less contagious!
      This time around we have a more psychological plague to deal with, as Contagious Cowardice is affecting NPCs and players alike! Many rare elites on the Dragon Isles use the debuff, and it seems something went wrong with limiting it, much the same was as the original Corrupted Blood incident years ago.
      This one is very different from the original, however, as the damaging part of the debuff doesn't seem to be working in sanctuaries like cities, so we most likely won't be seeing the seas of corpses we did back in the original plague. There is a new damaging effect this time though, and it's for your ears - as the debuff has a distinct and unpleasant sound, which gets amplified as more and more players around you have it.
      Plenty of players have been reporting the situation, and it seems mostly contained to Valdrakken at the moment, so it hasn't spread through portals... yet (and hopefully it can't), but some players have been spreading it around outside as well.
      It only doesn't do damage if you are within a sanctuary. Once you leave town with it the damage starts. With some guild assistance we managed to drag it to a few areas where crowds gather such as the Community Feast (though this is a sanctuary, it's fun seeing the mass circles) and to people waiting for the Siege of Dragonbane Keep. - Daevii

      Contagious Cowardice is a debuff applied by some rares around the Dragon Isles. It spreads from player to player, just like Corrupted Blood did all those years ago. Fortunately, Blizzard seemed to have learned from last time and it's not doing any damage if you're in a sanctuary - but it is jumping between people and spreading, and when it does so, it makes a huge noise! It gets pretty deafening somewhere full of afk people, like say, the auction house... : ( - Eschamali

      Update: the mystery has been solved! The mount and pet are actually a part of the new Race to World First Twitch drop program (which you can read more about here), and it seems there was a problem with the drops being awarded ahead of time for some players.

      Well here's a nice little surprise for players, as there are many reporting receiving a store mount they not only did not buy, but one that hasn't been available for years!
      A Mists of Pandaria mount, the Swift Windsteed was retired from the Blizzard store back in January 2019, and today a number of players have reported just receiving it in their mount collection as a gift box, despite never having bought it (even while it was available) - and yes, it is a flying mount.

      I just got one too. Asked my spouse to check hers and she did not get one. I don’t mind the free mount but what is going on? - Kikjin This following player also received a Cenarion Hatchling in addition to the mount, on a different character, but they are the only one that reported getting two things.

      The Race to World First is upon us. Celebrate the upcoming release of the first raid in Dragonflight with even more Twitch Drops—then, watch the best of the best race to end Raszageth the Storm-Eater’s plans to free her fellow incarnates within the Vault of the Incarnates.

      Beginning December 9 and December 13, you can earn the Cenarion Hachling pet and the Swift Windsteed mount via Twitch Drops. Then on December 13, watch the Race to World First to earn the Perpetual Purple Firework toy and cheer for your favorite guild in style! 
      Gear Up for the Race to World First
      Watch at least four hours of WoW: Dragonflight content while this Twitch Drop is active on any channel to earn the not quite fearsome but totally adorable Cenarion Hatchling pet.

      Blizzard have shared everything that's coming with next week's Dragonflight Season 1 launch, from the raid unlock schedule, start of the Mythic+ and PvP seasons, 4 new world bosses, cross-faction Mythic and cross-realm and more. 
      Season 1 (Source)
      Dragonflight Season 1 goes live the week of December 12 and brings a new raid, an updated rotation of challenging Mythic+ dungeons, and a new PvP Season. This season will also feature familiar exclusive rewards such as the Ahead of the Curve and Cutting Edge achievements for raids, Keystone Master achievements, rewards for Mythic+, and Gladiator rewards for PvP.
      Read on for more details, and prepare to take on all new challenges.
      New Raid
      Vault of the Incarnates
      The Primalists breached the Titan prison used to hold the Incarnates for millennia. Within, Raszageth performs a foul ritual to unleash her siblings so together they can purge the world of the Titans' influence. The champions of Azeroth must assault this impregnable fortress and break their defenses to end this threat. While many could fall, defeat condemns all the realms to the Incarnates' reign of fire and blood.
      Unravel the mysteries of the Vault of the Incarnates. Raid Unlock Schedule:
      Week of December 12: Normal, Heroic, and Mythic Vault of the Incarnates will open with the weekly maintenance for each region Week of December 19: Vault of the Incarnates Raid Finder Wing 1 opens Week of January 2: Vault of the Incarnates Raid Finder Wing 2 opens Week of January 16: Vault of the Incarnates Raid Finder Wing 3 opens Vault of the Incarnates is the first raid players will experience in Dragonflight, featuring eight all-new boss encounters.       Cross-Faction Mythic, Cross-Realm, and Hall of Fame Eligibility
      Cross-faction Mythic Vault of the Incarnates will be available from the start. Hall of Fame entries will require at least 16 out of 20 raiders from the same guild and faction to be eligible for rewards. Cross-realm will unlock later in the season.
      Four New World Bosses
      Four new World Bosses are raging through the Dragon Isles and will be on a weekly rotation starting with Basrikron, The Shale Wing.

      New Dungeon Rotation
      Court of Stars dungeon returns in Dragonflight Season 1 Dragonflight Season 1 will feature a new dungeon rotation for Mythic+. Four dungeons from Dragonflight are included, and four returning dungeons from previous expansions. Here’s the full lineup:
      Ruby Life Pools The Nokhud Offensive The Azure Vault Algeth’ar Academy Halls of Valor (from the Legion™ expansion) Court of Stars (from the Legion™ expansion) Shadowmoon Burial Grounds (from the Warlords of Draenor™ expansion) Temple of the Jade Serpent (from the Mists of Pandaria™ expansion) Mythic+ and PvP Season 1 will also begin the week of December 12 with regional maintenance. For Dragonflight, the item level of rewards from completing Mythic+ runs will not be capped on the first week, as Mythic Vault of the Incarnates will open simultaneously.
      The Inspiration Catalyst used to turn non-set pieces of the appropriate slot into a new set piece of the same item level will be available later in Season 1.
      New Seasonal Affix: Thundering
      Enemies have 5% more health. While in combat, players are periodically overcharged with primal power from Raszageth's unending storm. This power comes with great risk, and failure to discharge it quickly can have stunning consequences.
      Mythic+ Rewards
      The following rewards can be obtained by completing Mythic Keystone Dungeons in Season 1:
      Dragonflight Keystone Conqueror: Season 1 - Attain a Mythic+ Rating of at least 1500 during Dragonflight Season 1. Reward:  “The Thundering” title Dragonflight Keystone Master: Season 1 – Attain a Mythic+ Rating of at least 2000 during Dragonflight Season 1. Reward: Mount: Hailstorm Armoredon Dungeon Teleports Earned for each dungeon by completing a +20 or higher in that dungeon. Title awarded to players in the top 0.1% of Mythic+ rating in each region at the end of the season. Reward: “The Thundering Hero” title New PvP Season
      A new PvP Season will also kick off, allowing heroes all over Azeroth a chance to obtain glory in the Arenas and Battlegrounds. The new item level caps for Honor and Conquest gear shake up as follows:
      Crafted PvP gear is Crimson Combatant and has a PvP item level of 398 Honor PvP gear Crimson Aspirant and has a PvP item level of 411 Conquest PvP gear is Crimson Gladiator and has a PvP item level of 424 Rewards
      Title: Crimson Gladiator Mount: Crimson’s Gladiator’s Drake Dragonriding Appearance: Highland Drake: Embodiment of the Crimson Gladiator New Vicious mounts–Alliance and Horde-themed Sabertooth New Weapon Illusion New Pennant New Tabard and Cloak The Weapon Illusion, Pennant, Tabard, and Cloak will be updated and added in a future content patch before the end of Season 1.

      Week of December 19—Raid Finder Wing 1: The Primal Bulwark (Eranog, Dathea Ascended, The Primal Council) becomes available.
      Week of January 2—Raid Finder Wing 2: Caverns of Infusion (Kurog Grimtotem, Sennareth the Cold Breath, Terros) becomes available.
      Week of January 16—Raid Finder Wing 3: Fury of the storm (Broodkeeper Diurna, Raszageth The Storm-Eater) becomes available.
      ERANOG 
      Eranog, commander of the Primalist forces, is relentless in his pursuit of power. With the incarnates' release imminent, Eranog summons the whole of his army and will not hesitate to sacrifice his devoted followers to achieve victory.
      TERROS
      Primalists sought to pull Terros, an unyielding force of destruction, from the elemental plane. However, their ritual was interrupted. Trapped between two worlds, this hulking terror seeks to free himself and obliterate everything in his path.
      THE PRIMAL COUNCIL
      These masters of the elements are ruthless in their pursuit of power. Embar Firepath is as merciless as the fire she commands. Opalfang wields the might of the earth to crush her enemies. Kadros Icewrath is cold and cruel, while his sibling Dathea Stormlash is as wild and unpredictable as a raging storm.
      SENNARTH, THE COLD BREATH
      Sennarth, Kurog Grimtotem's most vicious creation, is a massive arachnid infused with the unforgiving cold. Her singular purpose is to guard her brood of thousands, awaiting the day they'll hatch and enshroud Azeroth in a web of winter.
      DATHEA, ASCENDED
      Driven manic by her defeat, Dathea strikes a bargain with Raszageth to attain even greater power. Imbued with a fraction of the Incarnate's strength, Dathea gains control of the wind itself and unleashes its ferocity to tear her enemies apart.
      KUROG GRIMTOTEM
      Once a prized pupil of Magatha Grimtotem, this master of the primal elements is preparing to unleash his most devastating creations. If Kurog is not stopped, his entities of storm, fire, ice, and earth will wreak havoc across the whole of Azeroth.
      BROODKEEPER DIURNA
      Broodkeeper Diurna is the fierce Guardian of the Primalist Clutchwarren. She devotes her considerable strength to protect the unhatched and seeks vengeance for the one she lost.
      RASZAGETH THE STORM-EATER
      Raszageth devoutly believes that dragonkind was meant to be as wild and free as the storm itself. Should she succeed at freeing her fellow incarnates from their ancient prison, Raszageth and her kin will topple the aspects and scour the world clean of every trace of the Titans' influence.

      What Frozen Things Do: Defeat Eranog after finding a Frozen Portal Stone and defeating a Burning Behemoth. Little Friends: Defeat Terros after hitting the three Dormant Earth nodes in his chamber with Awakened Earth and then defeating the resultant Energized Earth creatures. The Lunker Below: Use fishing to lure the Lurking Lunker living in the lava out, then engage and defeat the Primal Council. I Was Saving That For Later: Defeat Sennarth, the Cold Breath after finding and freeing 5 mysterious captives using Caustic Eruption, then witnessing their demise. Nothing But Air: Defeat Dathea, Ascended after collecting 8 Condensed Gales. The Power is MINE!: Defeat Kurog Grimtotem after destroying the Primal Avatar. Incubation Extermination: Defeat Broodkeeper Diurna after successfully hatching and defeating lieutenants from each Primal element's eggs within 10 seconds of each other.
