Dragonflight Pre-Patch Paladin One-Shot Combo

Recommended Posts

62507-patch-92-paladin-tier-set-preview.

Rextroy returns with a Paladin one-shot that eliminates opponents with a single button press.

Background:

This combo is quite tricky to figure out, but it works amazingly when it does! It is built around Recompense, a paladin talent that stores 50% of the damage that sacrifice redirected to you. Your next Judgment or Word of Glory then uses it up.

It is capped at 30% of your maximum health, however before a hotfix during early November, this snapshotted, meaning that if you were able to have A LOT of health and stack up Recompense temporarily, it would stay at a high number once your health went back down again!

So with this knowledge, we used one of the most powerful health increases in the game, the Tidal Surge buff from Throne of the Tides!

This made our health go upwards of 700k, which would cap Recompense at 210k damage on your next Judgment... in case we were able to redirect 420k damage from sacrifice...

This might seem impossible in a low-level dungeon, but an old item that used to screw me over actually helped us for once! The Precious Bloodthorn Loop Precious Bloodthorn Loop

This self-inflicted damage will scale with the 2000% damage boost from Neptulon, it also counts as redirected damage with sacrifice...

This combo is by far one of my favorites, since it all works out so well, and the result is hilarious.

Also, did you know... since recompense doesn't show up as a buff, it won't be cleared when entering an arena!? so Panic and I tried this out and managed to one-shot the enemy team within 0.5 seconds... quite hilarious

(Keep in mind, this was only attempted in arena during off-season, since there aren't any gains to be had, otherwise, we would try it in a Wargame)

You don't have to fear this happening to you, it already got fixed back in early November! Surprisingly I didn't even have time to report it before the fix, so Blizzard actually managed to figure this one out on their own, or it got reported by someone...

I hope you all enjoyed it! Thanks for watching, and stay tuned for more

We're back in the department of fortunate loot drops, this time, with Tindral Sageswift dropping four copies of the same item.
Tindral blessed a very lucky raid group with 4 pieces of Eternal Kindler's Greatstaff. While this isn't the record-breaking group who looted 5 Smoldering Seedlings from Larodar, it's still nice to see good old Tindral handing so many copies of the same item!

Blizzard have detailed an upcoming nerf coming "soon" (presumably today) to the pendultimate boss of Amirdrassil Mythic. Players will now be getting 2 extra feathers so more can dragonride and grab the orbs, and especially to do more damage to the roots.

With a hotfix that we’ll apply to the game soon:
Tindral Sageswift Fallen Feathers now spawn 6 feathers (was 4) on Mythic Difficulty. And as always, this change will be listed later in our Hotfixes Update.

A big week 3 in the dungeons, as we'd usually see things stabilizing by now, but the constant  class tuning is not letting things calm down. After last week's smaller tuning pass we had a big one hit this week, so things won't be staying as they are for long!
      Warcraft Logs Points
The below logs are based on POINTS, and not actual damage or healing, meaning they log the timed completion for the specs, with higher keys getting more points, obviously. The time in which the dungeon is completed is also a factor, but a much, much smaller one, as it grants very few points if you do it significantly faster than just any in-time completion. We're also using the Normalized Aggregate Scores numbers, for clarity, meaning the top spec is marked as 100 and then the rest are ranked in relation to that peak point.
      All Keys
      95th percentile DPS
Augmentation keeps showcasing why its raid logs are very very wrong, as the completion-based charts sees them just not budging from the top! Fire moves up in the world as both it and Havoc move past Outlaw and form the top 3, as Demonology stands firm behind the Rogue. Assassination apparently isn't happy with just dominating raids, so it's gaining ground here as well, moving 2 spots up into 7th, same as  Beast Mastery in 8th. However, both specs got hit by the nerf bat this week so we'll see where they end up next time. Arcane and Enhancement close out the top 10, with the Mage dropping down and the Shaman moving up.

Mythic+ All Keys 95th Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      All Percentiles
The top 4 remains identical in the generalist bracket, as we see Demonology breaking up the monotony and pushing into a Mage sandwich in 5th. BM is up for now here as well, as Fury still does much better and closes out the top 10. The bottom 3 are similar to the above chart, with the rest of the Warlocks down in the dumps, but with Marksmanship joining them instead of Devastation.

Mythic+ All Keys All Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      U.GG DPS Rankings
U.gg's rankings are based on actual DPS taken from Warcraft Logs data, focusing on the top players and span the past two weeks.
Havoc reigns supreme in the actual DPS charts, quite a bit ahead of Demonology in second, which is basically tied with Beast Mastery in third! However, let's not forget the raw DPS numbers are not tracking Augmentation properly so let's imagine it up here somewhere as well, instead of down in the bottom 3. The two Rogues both remains stable in 4th and 5th as Arcane drops off a big 4 spots, leaving Enhancement in its 6 spot. Retribution and Survival also used this opportunity and moved up in the world, with the Paladin gaining a solid 3 spots and the Hunter a giant 8 in 8th! Fire is also on the rise with a 4-spot bump, just ahead of its fallen Mage brother.

Mythic+ All Keystone DPS rankings by u.gg.

For even more in-depth data for each individual key head on over to Warcraft Logs and u.gg. And if you're interested in more info on the specs themselves you can always check out our class guides, as well as our Mythic+ guides and Mythic+ tier list.
