Lost Ark Bot Banwave and Witcher Crossover Event

Recommended Posts

There's a lot going on in January, as Amazon just announced a huge bot banwave which affected the game's concurrent player stats, and next week brings the Witcher crossover event, featuring a brand new island with quests and characters from the franchise, not to mention the cosmetics (including free ones, Twitch drops, and store items)!

Heroes of Arkesia,

This week, many players have noticed a drop off in the number of concurrent users displayed in Lost Ark’s Steam stats. This change is the direct result of a roll out of a significant number of bot account bans, which utilized new and highly-effective tactics to target and remove bots from the game.

Players should expect these bot bans to have a positive impact on gameplay, including improved Market and Auction House experiences, decreased lag in heavily populated areas, and fewer bots present in the game.

In the coming months, we will continue to deploy large scale bot ban waves, implementing new methods of identifying and actioning against bots en masse. We will keep players updated about the deployment and impacts of these ban waves as they occur.

Thank you for your patience as we continue working to improve Lost Ark.

And the big Witcher January event:

A beautiful island’s festivities have been interrupted by a mystifying vortex. Uncovering the mysteries will lead to encounters with iconic characters from The Witcher on an all-new island and in new event quests! The Lost Ark x The Witcher collaboration and event will begin on January 18 after weekly maintenance, and run until February 22.

As you work with Geralt, Ciri, Dandelion, Yennefer, and Triss through a series of story and daily quests, a variety of Witcher themed items are available as rewards. Quest rewards include Witcher Potions, 3 Jukebox songs, a new Card Set featuring 5 Witcher Characters, a Stronghold structure, Emoticons & Selfie Stickers, and even a Title!

Unlock the all-new event island by speaking with the Guild Investigator in major cities. Participating in the event requires completion of the [Set Sail!] Main Story Quest, which unlocks the ability to sail around Arkesia. With Main Quests & Daily Quests to be completed, players can use the Ocean Liner for quick trips to White Wolf Haven Island.

Gear up like Geralt and Ciri with new Witcher Themed cosmetics found in the in-game store— from a wallpaper to weapon skins to full outfits that add Witcher hairstyles, you’ll strike fear into the heart of all monsters in Arkesia. These special cosmetics aren’t the only way to look Witchery in the new year; a unique Twitch Drop with Witcher-inspired Mokoko skins accompanies the January update. Visit our Twitch Drops page or tune into your favorite Lost Ark content creator on Twitch after the update releases to learn more.

Learn more about the upcoming event on the release page, and find some of the unique cosmetics showcased below!

They really need to do something to get this game up to date with Korean version, otherwise it's still a subpar version. Although there are more issues like bots and game feeling too grindy, which is one of the main reasons so many western players have left. I already quit this game myself, server felt rather dead, not possible to do many events anymore, as well as aforementioned amount of farming. And they are still releasing artist in April, even more people are going to quit before it. So yeah, it seems that's it for western Lost Ark.

Bit of a doomer post, huh? The game will never catch up to KR, and it doesn't need to. FFXIV has servers in China and they stay a consistent patch behind, and there's not a single issue with it. I personally blame the KR streamers for making NA/EU players feel like they're inferior, but it's very easy to play the game without their influence ruining everything. I can admit some island events do feel dead, but that gets resolved if they start combining server populations. We'll see how they handle it.

Perhaps, but going from over 1 million of active players to average 100k, split between regions, it's not a good sign. I wouldn't blame streamers, they don't have that much of an impact, players were quitting simply because game wasn't fun for them (most of them weren't even watching those streamers). On my server in EU Central, which was already after merge with another server, doing some of the older events was impossible. Also EU West, a post-launch region due to initial player load, is almost dead. Afaik, most active players are already leaving it for Central and apparently game was never designed to allow mergers of regions. I also think that game having region locks and different versions in regions is an outdated way to release a game. No region should be behind. They limited themselves by not releasing game globally (only Netherlands and Belgium have regulations against loot boxes, but they aren't the only ones blocked).

Then there are other things to consider. Realistically, game can't attract new players. What's new player going to see? Empty world, events that no one is doing anymore and they will have a lot of catching up to do before they even have a chance to play in current content. Which will become even harder as community becomes smaller and players already in that content have huge demands that no new player is going to meet. This is also a major flaw in game's design where new players aren't allowed to jump straight into new content (or to start very close to it). Also the game support is terrible, whether it's from Amazon or Smile Gate. Localization is pretty bad as well, a lot of dialogues have been dumbed down for no reason, very often text doesn't match what is being said. Some descriptions are contradictory or with typos (even one of the servers is a typo, it's supposed to be Sien, not Slen!). In dialogues, some names are often spelled differently (likely a result of different interpretations of them being written phonetically in Korean). It's like translators had no idea what they were translating, probably due to translations being done independently.

I blame streamers for the gatekeeping. I don't blame them for the failures of AGS/SG. At least for NA, people have been playing at KR standard since release, and there has really never been a reason other than streamers pushed the info to the community. There was never room for natural growth of the community. But maybe that's just something that comes with being patch cycles behind and unavoidable.

My biggest qualm that I agree with is getting new players. I do everything I can to help out new people, because I've had a few friends join me and their early experience is pretty awful. I'll usually accept a few low levels to the group when I'm doing weekly content, and I try to do card runs of low level content just so the new players trying to get better gear don't have to wait in a 30 minute queue just to fail the dungeon. It unfortunately needs an entire overhaul, and KR seems dead set on band-aiding it for now instead of dealing with it.

Most people who quit aren't watching streamers. Similar with people who planned on playing, but decided against it once they heard about it's unfun grindy systems. Even from personal experience, people I knew who quit aren't even watching any streamers. There are many games that are popular by themselves, but don't rank high among numbers streams.

If game is fun, people will play it. Lost Ark's hype moment has already passed, so it doesn't even attract attention of general public to be influenced by those streamers. Most people who are still watching LA streamers are dedicated players who will likely keep playing it, unless the western version shuts down at some point. With so many players leaving, Amazon might consider it as unprofitable and cut its partnership with SG. Localization already looks like it's on a shoestring budget. They will still need translation and voice acting for upcoming content and what we already have is a mess translation-wise.

The next big patch arrived to lost Ark on Wednesday, with the huge Brelshaza Legion raid, Summoner class, Caliligos Guardian raid, new tier 3 gear and progression materials, Festivity Island, store updates and a LOT more.
      Patch Notes (Source)
      Heroes of Arkesia,
The December “Wreck the Halls” Update arrives in Arkesia tomorrow. Downtime for the update will begin on December 14 at 12AM PDT (8AM UTC) and is expected to last 4 hours. The road to Brelshaza concludes tomorrow, when the cunning and ruthless Phantom Legion Commander arrives. Brelshaza isn’t the only powerful force arriving in Arkesia— Caliligos, the master of lighting, is available to challenge in a new Guardian Raid, and the Summoner Advanced Class adds a new powerful tool for any player looking to bolster their roster. The new content doesn’t stop with the new raids and a new Advanced Class. New Tier 3 Progression Materials, higher level South Vern ‘Void’ Chaos Dungeons, and Hard T3 Cube & Boss Rush activities (Item Level 1490) arrive along with a new Neria’s Wardrobe, a festive Holiday Event, and a new accessory type; the Bracelet. Find the full list of new content, events, cosmetics, and other updates below!
      Spotlight
      Brelshaza Legion Raid
Face Brelshaza, Commander of the Phantom Legion in an immersive and challenging 8-player Legion Raid spanning 6 unique gates and encounters. The most cunning and ruthless of all the Legion Commanders, she’s known to charm her enemies and inflict them with awful hallucinations. With so many encounters, the Item Level requirements rise every two gates. Here's where your gear will need to be to challenge Phantom Legion Commander Brelshaza:
Phantom Astalgia: Déjà Vu - Item Level 1430
      Gates 1 & 2 - Item Level 1490
      Gates 3 & 4 - Item Level 1500
      Gates 5 & 6 - Item Level 1520
Similar to the “Midnight Circus: Encore” difficulty of the Kakul-Saydon Legion Raid, an easier difficulty is available for players to practice the difficult encounters and mechanics; Phantom Astalgia: Déjà Vu. A special training ground for the Brelshaza Legion Raid will also be opened in Trixion. Phantom Marks will be introduced along with the Legion Raid, along with a new page becoming available at the Legion Raid Exchange NPC where Phantom Marks can be exchanged for rewards.
      Summoner Advanced Class

Despite their delicate constitution, Summoners are a force to be reckoned with in any battle. They call forth elemental spirits to fight for them, each with their own special skills to help the Summoner shine in every situation. With a powerful variety of water, lightning, earth, and more unique attacks, the Summoner is a welcome addition to the roster of available Mage Advanced Classes. The Summoner will join the Bard, Sorceress, and Arcanist as the fourth Mage Advanced Class. Learn more about the Summoner’s Class Identity, Skills, and Engravings in the Summoner Lost Ark Academy.
      Caliligos Guardian Raid

Caliligos is the master of lightning, commanding blue lightning to bring his enemies to their knees. His wings are as swift as wind, and the power of blue thunderbolts concentrate in his horn, sharper than any spears, to pierce the hearts of his enemies. As a ruler of the skies, he was worshipped in the past as a god. But Caliligos is no god— he’s a cruel ruler of the sky and a ruthless guardian. Caliligos will join the gauntlet of Level 6 Guardians. The Item Level requirement to challenge Caliligos is 1490.
Tier 3 Activity & Progression Updates
New T3 Gear & progression materials have been added. A new Relic gear set can be crafted from materials earned in the Brelshaza Legion Raid. Requirements for crafting the new set: Item Level 1490 and complete the "Kill the Legion Commanders and leave the gear behind" achievement, which requires: Regardless of the set, equip 6 pieces of Demon Beast and Covetous Legion Commander Relic gear at the same time.
The new Relic gear can be honed up to Lv. 20, raising the maximum Item Level from 1575 to 1590. The honing success rate will be different from existing Legion Raid gear.
The new Relic gear has the same set effect as existing Legion Raid Relic gear.
If you gear transfer an existing Legion Raid Relic gear piece into the new Relic gear, the gear quality will also be transferred. If the gear to transfer into has a higher quality, the quality will stay the same. Artisan's Energy, honing XP, and increase in success rate after fail are not transferred. After transfer is complete, the gear that you used will have a honing level of 0.
Added new progression materials that can be used to hone the new Relic gear set:
      Obliteration Stone
      Protection Stone
      Marvelous Honor Leapstone
      Superior Oreha Fusion Material
The new progression materials can be earned from the new Void Chaos Dungeons, Caliligos Guardian Raid, Challenge Guardian Raid, Challenge Abyssal Dungeon, Stronghold Crafting and Research, the Brelshaza Legion Raid, and Una’s Quests.
T3 Hall of the Sun (Hard) Boss Rush and T3 Dimension Cube (Hard) both arrive in the Wreck the Hall Update. Both requiring Item Level 1490 for entry, these new difficulties will challenge heroes with a gauntlet of new enemies— but with bigger challenge comes bigger rewards.
Added two new South Vern Void Chaos Dungeons. With new progression materials, Bracelets, along with the standard Chaos Dungeon rewards, there’s plenty of rewards for clearing the new Void levels. Item Level requirements:
      Void 1 - Item Level 1490
      Void 2 - Item Level 1520
      General
      New Bracelet Accessory
The new Bracelet accessory increases character stats, and has perks, but doesn’t have Engravings slotted into it like other accessories. Bracelets have fixed bonuses and granted bonuses. Fixed bonuses are granted at random when you obtain a bracelet and cannot be changed. Granted bonuses can be added or changed through Bracelet Specialist NPC, who can be found in major cities across Arkesia! Bracelets can be earned from the Brelshaza Legion Raid, Caliligos Guardian Raid, and South Vern’s new Void Chaos dungeon.
      Bot Prevention Updates
We know that bots have been causing frustration within the community, and we share in that frustration. As we wage the war on bots infiltrating Arkesia, we’re continuing to try new methods. In this update, we’ve worked together with Smilegate RPG on new prevention measures.
To prevent bots from negatively impacting the player-driven economy, we’ve updated the list of economic and social systems restricted from accounts that haven’t achieved a trusted status in Lost Ark. Previously, untrusted accounts were prevented from accessing economic and social features such as initiating player-to-player trades and sending player mail. With the prevention updates, untrusted accounts will now be restricted from the Auction House, Market, Loot Auctions, Stronghold Gifting, and all player-to-player trading. We’ve banned millions of bot accounts over the past few months, and have additional ban waves planned to purge existing bot accounts.
The path to earn trusted status won’t change, and these updates will only affect newly created accounts after the update. Existing Lost Ark players will not be impacted. New adventurers arriving in Arkesia can earn their trusted status in multiple ways, and can choose the path that’s right for them. The first option is for new players to enable the Steam Guard mobile authenticator, and have a Steam profile that’s no longer a ‘Limited User’ account. This is an easy path that won’t require making any Lost Ark purchases. Alternatively, new players can also receive trusted status by making any purchase in Lost Ark through either Steam or Amazon. You can learn more about the Steam Guard mobile authenticator here, and learn about Steam’s trusted status here.
Two other updates are also included in this update to prevent bots from negatively impacting the player-driven economy:
Converted some quest rewards from Gold to Silver.
Added a daily 20 item registration limit per Roster for the Auction House and Market.
As we continue our quest to rid Arkesia of bots, we understand it may affect new players who install after the update. We’re keeping a close eye out for feedback, so please continue to share your experiences with us on the forums. We appreciate your patience as we continue working to bring the best possible Lost Ark experience to our players.
      Festivity Island

Celebrate the holidays on Festivity Island in a new event! Use the Ocean Liner for express travel to the new island, and help Turry the Polar Bear with a variety of quests. Earn Joytide Stars and Joytide Twilight Stars by completing event quests, that you can trade for special items and valuable rewards during the event, and Snowflake Powder that can be used to bake a special Stronghold feast. During the event period, bake a Winter Festival Cake in your Stronghold and share the feast! Visit Chef Hyde of the Stronghold and click on the "Order Cooking Meal" tab to request "Feast: Winter Festival Cake" from the feast menu.
      General Updates
Added the Phantom Ghost Ship requiring Item Level 1490 off the northwest coast of South Vern.
Added a new track of daily log-in rewards.
Added Kakul-Saydon to the list of Legion Raids eligible for Procyon’s Protection.
Updated Tier 3 activities to support the new Tier 3 progression materials, including Challenge Guardian Raid rewards, Challenge Abyssal Dungeon rewards, Stronghold Crafting and Research, and Una’s Quest rewards for players that have reached Item Level 1490.
      Store Updates
Get cozy and warm with a new winter-themed Neria’s Wardrobe, or more formal with the Festival and Ball skins. Celebrate the Summoner’s release with an exclusive Summoner Skin, the Summoner Dawn skins, and special packages found in the in-game store. With new mounts, and pets, and Stronghold Structures, there are plenty of new cosmetics showcased below!

      Notable Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue causing some skins to now be shown in the Skin Storage menu when sorting by set.
Fixed an issue with the Reaper's Identity Gauge tooltip.
Fixed an issue causing the voice over audio to be missing during the "Proud Memories of Adventure" Stronghold quest.

Amazon have finally announced when we'll be getting the new and improved Tripod system, and it's next week! There are some important details on the change, as you'll want to store all your  tripods so you don't lose them, and there's a few ways to take extra advantage of the switch as well. Read up on all the details of how the system works below.
      Tripod (Source)
Next week as a part of our November 16th Update, the Skill Tree Transfer System (often referred to as the Tripod System) will be updated. In this new system, Skill Tree Effects will no longer transfer to gear, and will instead transfer to your characters.
We will have full details on this system written out in our patch notes for the November Update, but wanted to let players know of a few changes with the system ahead of time.
First and foremost, as all Skill Tree Effects will be removed from your gear with this new system, it is important to store your Skill Tree Effects in your Skill Tree Inventory ahead of the November 16th update. Skill Tree Effects that are not stored in the Inventory will be lost.
In order to save your Skill Tree Effects, you will need to visit a [Transfer Skill Tree] vendor in a major city, click the “Inventory” button, and select your Skill Tree Effects from your gear to be saved in your inventory. Having your Skill Tree Effects saved in your Skill Tree Inventory will ensure that they are transferred over to the new system following the November Update. Please note that for any duplicate Skill Tree Effects that are saved, only the Skill Tree Effect of the highest level will be transferred over.
Because some classes have new skills that will replace older ones in this update, players will receive a compensation for those skills’ Skill Tree Effect. To receive compensation, the character must have a Lv. 2 or higher Skill Tree Effect for the impacted skill before the update. Compensation details will be included in next week’s patch notes.
Please also note that the new system will not require Skill Tree Inventory slots. Any Crystals used to purchase additional slots will not be refunded when the system changes, but all Skill Tree Effects stored in expanded Skill Tree Inventory slots will transfer to the new system. Please be aware of this if you are considering buying additional Skill Tree Inventory slots prior to the update.
If you want to learn how to take full advantage of the upcoming Skill Tree Transfer System changes and get a head start on learning about the upcoming system, check out these videos by some of our Lost Ark content creators:

Amazon have detailed the upcoming Reaper class, coming with next week's reset, as they go into its playstyle, the stealth element, as well as all the engravings and skills it has to offer. We're also getting both a Punika Powerpass and a Hyper Express event, so getting the Reaper up to speed should be no problem at all!
      Reaper (Source)
Heroes of Arkesia, On November 16, the Reaper Advanced Class will arrive in Arkesia. Reapers are true Assassins, and masters of stealth. From powerful back-attacks inflicted by their daggers to misleading opponents by vanishing and summoning clones, Reapers have a variety of tools at their disposal to vanquish whatever threat crosses their path.
The Reaper will join the Deathblade and Shadowhunter as the third Assassin Advanced Class. In this Lost Ark Academy, you’ll find information to see if the Reaper is the class for you— and if so, help you start planning the skills and engravings you’re interested in using to enhance your impact on the battlefield. Before we dive into what the class is all about, here’s a note from Reaper expert Grenton on why the Reaper is his favorite class:
“Reaper was the first class that I picked up when I started playing Lost Ark about a year and a half ago. Even with the game releasing in the West I still regularly played my Reapers. The class is very unique in the way it moves and deals damage. It has the best sound design out of any class I've played and constantly keeps you on your toes. If you're looking for a fast-paced and rewarding class to play, you found her. She's the Reaper!”
      Key Mechanics & Class Identity
The Reaper’s Class Identity is built around three Modes; Normal Mode, Persona Mode, and Chaos Mode.
      Normal Mode
While in Normal Mode, the Persona Meter fills up over time and each time a skill hits the target. When the Persona Meter is full, you can enter Persona Mode by pressing Z. The Chaos Meter increases upon every successful Dagger Skill and Shadow Skill hit while the Persona Meter is full. When the Persona Meter is full, enter Chaos Mode by filling up the Chaos Meter through continuously using Dagger and Shadow skills without pressing Z.
      Persona Mode
Summon a Shadow Illusion, become stealthy, and the gauge starts decreasing. The Shadow Illusion remains until you attack. You remain stealthy even if you use Movement or Stand Up skills while in stealth. In Persona Mode, Move Speed +30%, and you become stealthy, but are exposed to hostile adventurers within 4m. In Persona Mode, Swoop Skills Damage is increased by 25%, and the effect can be stacked up to 5 times depending on the duration of the Persona Mode. When you attack or the gauge is exhausted, you return to Normal Mode.
      Chaos Mode
Crit Rate +15%. Move Speed +10%. Atk. Speed +10%. Chaos Mode initially lasts for 9s. If your Dagger Skills continuously hits a foe or if you use a Shadow Skill, the duration of Chaos Mode will be reset to 9s. At the end of Chaos Mode, the Chaos Meter gets reset and reverts back to a full Persona Meter.
      Class Engravings
Like other Advanced Classes, the Reaper has two unique Class Engravings that enhance different aspects of the class. The Hunger Class Engraving is focused around generating more Chaos Meter and dealing even more damage while in Chaos Mode. Lunar Voice is focused on landing huge Swoop attacks while in Persona Mode, granting immediate damage increases to Swoop instead of requiring stacks to be generated.
      Hunger
Level 1 - Chaos Meter +30%. Atk. Power +12% when the Chaos Meter is full.
Level 2 - Chaos Meter +30%. Atk. Power +18% when the Chaos Meter is full.
Level 3 - Chaos Meter +30%. Atk. Power +25% when the Chaos Meter is full.
      Lunar Voice
Level 1 - Swoop Damage +120% instead of the Swoop Enhancement effect that stacks every 1s upon switching to Persona Mode.
Level 2 - Swoop Damage +140% instead of the Swoop Enhancement effect that stacks every 1s upon switching to Persona Mode.
Level 3 - Swoop Damage +160% instead of the Swoop Enhancement effect that stacks every 1s upon switching to Persona Mode.
      Skills
The Reaper has three Skill categories; Dagger, Shadow, and Swoop skills. Dagger and Shadow skills are used to charge up Persona and Chaos Modes, and Swoop skills are heavily amplified by Persona— allowing the Reaper to unleash devastating attacks.
      Dagger Skills
Nightmare - Throw a dagger at the target location to inflict Damage. Use the skill again and teleport behind the hit target if there is no obstacle between you and the foe. Move Speed +10% for 2s after teleportation.
Shadow Vortex - Gather strength and pull foes to you, inflicting Damage. Use the skill again to deliver a powerful spinning blow, inflicting Damage.
Spirit Catch - Perform a quick thrust forward to inflict Damage, then dart 4 meters in the same direction and deliver one final attack that knocks foes down for Damage.
Spinning Dagger - Move 5 meters forward as you throw daggers around you to inflict Damage, then slash at foes upon landing for Damage.
Piercing Blade - Perform 2 sharp thrusting attacks to inflict Damage. Use the skill again to deliver 2 more thrusts for Damage. Airborne foes are launched back into the air.
Reaper's Call - Madly hack at foes in front of you, attacking them 4 times for [Dark] Damage.
Phantom Dancer - Spin toward the target location and move 5 meters as you slash at foes for Damage. Use the skill again to move another 5 meters while pushing foes and attacking them for Damage.

      Looking Ahead
In next week’s update, the Reaper will release with two progression events, a Punika Powerpass and a Hyper Express Event that helps accelerate a character from Item Level 1302 to 1445.
Players will receive a Punika Powerpass after completing Punika's quest “Berver's Friend” during (or before) the event period. The Punika Powerpass will function like the North Vern Powerpasses available to players in the launch version of Lost Ark— once you’ve completed the storyline through that continent, you can use it to bring an alternate character to that point in the game. With the Punika Powerpass, you'll receive Item Level 1302 gear.
Players will be able to designate one character between item Level 1302 and 1445 on their roster to participate in the Hyper Express Event, where they’ll earn honing materials, and level up quickly to Item Level 1445. The designated character will earn rewards from missions when increasing their Item Level to 1445— which grants a particularly valuable reward.
Stay tuned to PlayLostArk.com and our social media channels for the full list of updates in next week's Release Notes (and some more Reaper tips from Grenton)! Until then, we'll see you in Arkesia.

This week's update brings season 2 of the Ark Pass, with tons of free stuff for players to (very easily) earn, as well as Chaos Dungeon, Stronghold and other fixes!
      Weekly Update (Source)
      Heroes of Arkesia,
All Lost Ark servers and regions will be taken offline on Wednesday, October 12th at 12 AM PT / 7 AM UTC / 9 AM CEST for our scheduled weekly maintenance. Downtime is estimated to last up to 4 hours and includes the following fixes:
Ark Pass Season 2 is arriving! Beginning on October 12th, players can complete missions in-game to earn rewards including honing material selection chests, pirate coins, and pheons! Players can also exchange Royal Crystals for the Premium Ark Pass, which will include additional rewards such as the Icebloom Deer Selection Chest, or the Super Premium Ark Pass, which includes the Respite and Glory Skin Set. Fixed an issue causing the Chaos Dungeon Rest Bonus value to be set to an invalid number on some characters. In cases where this is occurring, the Rest Bonus has been rounded up to the nearest 10. Withheld gold spent to craft items in the Stronghold will now be refunded as withheld gold if crafting is cancelled. This only applies to withheld gold spent; if non-withheld gold is spent to craft an item which is later cancelled, it will be refunded as non-withheld gold. Fixed an issue that caused the “/groupinvite” chat command to not function. Fixed an issue that caused the cutscene shown at the end of Naruna Hot Springs to repeat. During this time, the second round of server merges will also take place. Downtime for regions experiencing server merges is expected to take longer than our standard maintenance, with an estimation of up to 12 hours. Details about these server merges can be found here:

Amazon have shared their plans for Lost Ark for the rest of the year and beyond, with the biggest news being that Brelshaza is coming in December! We're also getting more raids (Mystic Abyss, Vykas Inferno, Achates Tiral Guardian) and progression events this month, the Reaper and Summoner classes by the end of the year, the new Caliligos Guardian raid, Ark Pass Season 2 and a lot more!
      Roadmap (Source)
      Heroes of Arkesia,
The Rage with the Machinist Update recently released a ton of new content in Arkesia with the Machinist Advanced Class, Kakul-Saydon Legion Raid, and new progression events— but we know players are eager to learn what’s arriving in the coming months, so let’s dive in. There are two main stories being told over the next three months as we look to close out 2022:
The next few months mark the road to the Brelshaza Legion Raid— one of the most challenging, unique, and beautifully dangerous raids in all of Lost Ark. As we head toward the climactic battle against the Phantom Legion Commander, new raids will be added in October for the heroes in Arkesia to hone their teamwork, skills, and ability to overcome unique mechanics, and new progression events to provide upgrade materials and progression opportunities. December will bring Brelshaza alongside a host of other content to end the year with a bang!
The release of both the Reaper and Summoner Advanced Classes over the next three months conclude our plan of releasing the first 21 Advanced Classes before other new (or future) classes are added and give new opportunities for players to fill out their rosters with their favorite playstyles.
The content and updates found below are some of the highlights we know players are eagerly awaiting, and is not a comprehensive list of every change arriving in Arkesia over the next few months. Stay tuned to our website and social channels for future release notes including the full list of new content, cosmetics, balance changes, events, bug-fixes, and more included in these updates.
      October
      New Event: Mystic Abyss Raid
The Guardian Mystic, formerly known as the Herald of Vairgrys and the Ark Carrier, has begun to cast dangerous mists from the permeated chaos and must be vanquished in this new, limited-time Abyss Raid. During the Abyss Raid event, 'Scale of Harmony' is applied, changing character stats to match the Guardian's level. Item Level 1302 or higher is required to battle Mystic, and an abundance of weekly rewards await those who rise to the challenge.
Vykas Legion Raid - Inferno Difficulty
The most difficult version of Legion Raids, the Inferno difficulty is all about proving you’re among the best of the best in Arkesia, and earning prestige. Rather than chasing the normal rewards of gear, materials, and everything else you’d receive in a Legion Raid, Inferno rewards instead showcase your victory with titles, achievements, Stronghold structures, and more! ‘Scale of Balance’ is applied, and the raid requires use of the Book of Coordination, so everyone’s gear is normalized against the level of your Legion Commander opponent. Entry into the Vykas Legion Raid Inferno difficulty will require Item Level 1460.
      Achates Trial Guardian
A challenging experience akin to the Inferno difficulty of Legion Raids, the Achates Trial Guardian Raid can only be entered after setting up your build through the 'Book of Coordination'. If defeated, prestigious rewards of achievements and a Legendary Title will be earned by the vanquishing party to award prestige and celebrate their hard-fought victory.
      Other Key Content
These 3 Raids aren’t the only thing arriving in October— players in San Diego can join us at Twitchcon (more details to come), and those in Arkesia can look forward to Arkpass Season 2, Neria’s Wardrobe Halloween Edition, the continuation of the September progression events, and Competitive Proving Grounds Season 2 will kick off at the end of the month!
      November
      Reaper Advanced Class
Reapers are true Assassins, and masters of stealth. From powerful back-attacks inflicted by their daggers to misleading opponents by vanishing and summoning clones, Reapers have a variety of tools at their disposal to vanquish whatever threat crosses their path.
      Other Key Content
Tripod Transfer System Improvements which guarantee the transfer Tripods through a new “Amulet” material used for applying Skill Tripods, bring new notification improvements, Skill tree guide quest improvements, and add a Skill Tree Transfer mission in the 'Training Area'.
      Balance Update including:
Changes to the Legion Raid Hallucination Gear Set Effect
Class balance updates to the Berserker, Destroyer, Scrapper, Soulfist, Glaivier, Artillerist, Sharpshooter, Gunslinger, Machinist, and Arcanist .
Stronghold Improvements, such as Interior decorations, a new Trophy System & Trophy Room, Gifting, the ability to place mounts & pets, Structure placement updates, new Jukebox music, HUD improvements and new mini-games.
The Mystic Abyss Raid Event will continue in the beginning of the month for players to continue to build their raid skills and earn valuable rewards as they push toward the slew of threats arriving in December, alongside a special progression event.
      December
      Summoner Advanced Class
Despite their delicate constitution, Summoners are a force to be reckoned with in any battle. They call forth elemental spirits to fight for them, each with their own special skills to help the Summoner shine in every situation. With a powerful variety of water, lightning, earth, and more unique attacks, the Summoner is a welcome addition to the roster of available Mage Advanced Classes.
Brelshaza Legion Raid (Phantom Astalgia: Déjà Vu & Normal Difficulty)
Face Brelshaza, Commander of the Phantom Legion in an immersive and challenging 8-player Legion Raid spanning 6 unique gates and encounters. The most cunning and ruthless of all the Legion Commanders, she is known to charm her enemies and inflict them with awful hallucinations. With so many encounters, the gates work differently and the Item Level requirements rise every two gates. Similar to the “Midnight Circus: Encore” difficulty of the Kakul-Saydon Legion Raid, an easier difficulty is available for players to practice the difficult encounters and mechanics.
Phantom Astalgia: Déjà Vu - Item Level 1430
      Gates 1 & 2 - Item Level 1490
      Gates 3 & 4 - Item Level 1500
      Gates 5 & 6 - Item Level 1520
      Other Key Content
The new content doesn’t stop with the new raids and a new Advanced Class! Higher level South Vern ‘Void’ Chaos Dungeons, and Hard T3 Cube & Boss Rush activities (Item Level 1490) will arrive along with Neria’s Wardrobe Pajama Edition, a festive Holiday Event, and a new accessory type— the Bracelet, which can be earned from the Brelshaza Legion Raid, Caliligos Guardian Raid, and South Vern’s new Void Chaos dungeon. The Bracelet increases character stats, but doesn’t have Engravings slotted into it like other accessories.
      Looking Ahead
We’re excited to see players vanquish the myriad of threats arriving in the coming months as they grow their skills in challenging activities, and grow their rosters with new Advanced Classes and earn impactful rewards to help progression. In the meantime, stay tuned to our website, social channels, and the release notes for the full list of new content, store updates, events, bug-fixes, and more over the coming months. See you in Arkesia!
