Primordial Gems in Patch 10.0.7

Recommended Posts

33081-patch-73-jewelcrafting-epic-gems.j

Primordial Gems are new types of gems added in Patch 10.0.7. They come with various effects that we preview in our latest post.

Primordial Gems are Unique-Equipped and can only be socketed into Primordial Sockets. We do not know how to obtain them at this time. Maybe there will be a consumable that adds Primordial Sockets to armor.

Here are all Primordial Gems added to the game so far.

  • Cold Frost Stone Cold Frost Stone - Gain Frost armor every 20 seconds, absorbing damage and slowing melee attackers.
  • Deluging Water Stone Deluging Water Stone - Abilities can drench a nearby ally in restorative waters, healing over time.
  • Desirous Blood Stone Desirous Blood Stone - Dealing damage can drain life from nearby enemies, dealing Shadow damage and healing you.
  • Echoing Thunder Stone Echoing Thunder Stone - Moving builds an electrical charge, causing your next damaging ability to deal Nature damage.
  • Entropic Fel Stone Entropic Fel Stone - Fire damage from your Primordial Stones is increased by 60%, and now considered Chaos.
  • Exuding Steam Stone Exuding Steam Stone - Receiving heals can exude steam, healing yourself and 2 nearby allies.
  • Flame Licked Stone Flame Licked Stone - Dealing damage can set the enemy on fire, dealing Fire damage over time.
  • Freezing Ice Stone Freezing Ice Stone - Dealing damage can chill the enemy, dealing Frost damage and slowing them.
  • Gleaming Iron Stone Gleaming Iron Stone - Standing still for 3 seconds steels your resolve, increasing armor and autoattack damage.
  • Harmonic Music Stone Harmonic Music Stone - Entering combat increases the tertiary stats of you and 4 nearby allies.
  • Humming Arcane Stone Humming Arcane Stone - Dealing Magic damage can fire Arcane missiles for each kind of magic you've used in the past 20 sec.
  • Indomitable Earth Stone Indomitable Earth Stone - Taking damage can shield yourself in earth, absorbing damage.
  • Necromantic Death Stone Necromantic Death Stone - Being near a corpse grants the effects of the Blood, Frost, and Plague Primordial Stones.
  • Obscure Pastel Stone Obscure Pastel Stone - Spells and abilities can cast a random Primordial Stone effect.
  • Pestilent Plague Stone Pestilent Plague Stone - Dealing damage can infect the target with a plague that spreads to other enemies.
  • Prodigious Sand Stone Prodigious Sand Stone - Being near 3 enemies stirs up a sandstorm, dealing Nature damage to nearby enemies.
  • Prophetic Twilight Stone Prophetic Twilight Stone - Damaging effects from your Primordial Stones trigger your healing effects, and vice versa.
  • Raging Magma Stone Raging Magma Stone - Absorbing damage can coat your armor in lava, causing melee attackers to take Fire damage.
  • Searing Smokey Stone Searing Smokey Stone - Successful interrupts exhale smoke, dealing Fire damage to enemies in front of you.
  • Shining Obsidian Stone Shining Obsidian Stone - Anytime a Primordial Stone activates you shield yourself, absorbing damage.
  • Sparkling Mana Stone Sparkling Mana Stone - Spent mana seeps into the stone, granting stacking mana regeneration.
  • Storm Infused Stone Storm Infused Stone - Critically striking an enemy can shock them and 2 nearby enemies, dealing Nature damage.
  • Swirling Mojo Stone Swirling Mojo Stone - Being near a dying creature saps a portion of their mojo, and eventually crystallizes it.
  • Wild Spirit Stone Wild Spirit Stone - When a Nature or healing effect from a Primordial Stone activates, heal up to 5 allies over time.
  • Wind Sculpted Stone Wind Sculpted Stone - Moving rallies the wind to your side, granting 0 Speed.

Nothing in the post eludes to some unnecessary system.

Did you not just see the article layout Dom shards 2.0? You know what no one asked for, the return of the worst system of the worst expansion of the game.

Disagree with this. Those customizations will be nice, and since we still dont know how it will work to get em, no complains, yet.

Oh god, please no. The domination shards were the tipping point that made me quit during SL.

I see nothing on here. To what are you referring?

They do have various effects, so some people will quickly figure out what's best. I guess these will be mandatory for raiders.

We don't necessarily know how these gems and sockets will be obtained in that patch.  Don't think Blizzard would do a repeat of Domination Shards of SL fiasco again.  So I can't get bent out of shape till the full details of acquisition of gems/slots are revealed and not based on a datamined source alone.

IDK about that one... they have repeated bad stuff before, and they still do. 😢
This looks like similar system, but I hooooopeeee not... at the same time I kinda don't dare to hope anymore.

Many class changes went live earlier this week week and we're looking how they affect the Mythic+ Tier List.
      DISCLAIMER
The following post is based on statistics provided by Subcreation, a website that gathers various Mythic+ data from live servers. Please note that the tier list is biased toward the top end because it only looks at the top 100 keys per dungeon per affix and ignores keys below +16 and untimed runs.
For the reasons mentioned above, the data presented here will always differ from the Mythic Tier Lists maintained by Petko.
      Data Reliability
The data used in the post comes from Subcreation, a site maintained by Alcaras. Subcreation provides statistical analysis of Mythic+ dungeons, raids, and PvP in Shadowlands, and the data is provided via the Warcraft Logs API and Raider.io. If you'd like to support Subcreation, you can check out their Patreon.
      How the Data is Calculated
The site looks at the top 100 keys per dungeon per affix across all regions and examines their raider.io scores. For each dungeon and specialization, the site takes the lower bound of a 95% confidence interval of the top 100 runs for each specialization. The site then averages these lower bounds, one per dungeon, to get an overall average lower bound for each spec, which is finally used to create the tier list.
The site takes the lower bounds of the 95% confidence interval calculated and then clusters them into 6 buckets using the Ckmeans algorithm. You can find more information by reading the site's FAQ.
Tanks, Healers, Melee, and Ranged are all on the same scale. They're just shown separately for easier comparison across roles.
Mythic+ Tier List for Dragonflight Season 1: Week #16
The specs are ranked based on their lb_ci which stands for the lower bound of a 95% confidence interval. If a certain tier is missing, it's not occupied by any specialization.
The following tier list is for this week's affixes: Tyrannical, Sanguine, Explosive, Thundering.

Based on 3,199 runs, ranging in difficulty from +20 to +28.

A funny "Too Hot to Handle" reference has been discovered in Zaralek Cavern in Patch 10.1.
When you target and /kiss Fyrakk in Zaralek Cavern, you will receive the Too Hot to Handle debuff and suffer Fire damage for 10 seconds. The buff doesn't stack, so when you kiss Fyrakk multiple times, only the duration is refreshed to 10 seconds.
Too Hot to Handle - Are you blushing, or is it just the 1 Fire damage being dealt every 1 sec?
The "Too Hot to Handle" reference was discovered by MrGM. Fyrakk is one of the Incarnates that escaped after Raszageth's defeat.
