Beast Mastery Hunter 10.0.7 Buffs Tuned Down

Recommended Posts

There are further changes coming to Beast Mastery in the upcoming patch, as some of the buffs the spec received recently on the PTR, to combat the Neltharax bow nerfs, have been significantly toned down.

After some discussion and monitoring feedback on these changes, there are a few adjustments being made for the next PTR build for Beast Mastery Hunters.

Kill Command damage will be increased by 10%, down from 25%.
Barbed Shot damage will be increased by 12%, down from 25%.
Kill Cleave (talent) will now transfer 60% of Kill Command’s damage, up from 50%.

The original post will be updated to reflect these changes as well.

Aren't hunters like...top damage to bosses in raid?

oh no one of the lowest performing specs was performing on par with the other average specs, better nerf them.

Maybe you just need to... 'git gud' (tm)?

Guaranteed all those people have the op bow. (which is being heavily nerfed) The buffs to BM were to make up for the bow being nerfed. Maybe you need to "git gud" at reading patch notes.

Not really. You just need to figure out what a 'justified nerf' is.
Then again, given the Enh whine a few months ago, I doubt it is in the vocabulary of general WoW playerbase.

It’s so funny hearing hunters complain, they are complaining about a buff! 12% here 60% there try playing specs that are bottom dps. or try playing ele shaman and get kicked out of groups before the key starts cause your not enhanced. Idk if ele got 12% buff to a couple of abilities I would be happy as hell, and we are way lower then you guys in dmg.

Why don't you take and post a print of literally any other boss fight in the tier?

With that said, BM is currently very strong in ST damage, and the buffs were way too much. it's good that kill cleave damage is being increased as AOE is where BM struggles the most. As an hunter main, if these changes along with the bow ones don't end up being a nerf in ST, that's fine 😛

BM hunter is not good without the bow and there nerffing the bow. This wave of nerfes come With nerffing the bow on PTR. You than linked a bunch of Mythic hunters using the bows to prove a point. This is nonsensical.

yeah cause that's the chart everyone uses when forming pugs, not the one that has BM near the bottom. seriously pull your head out of your bottom

Only with the bow and/or if the higher tiered classes in your group are terrible.

We're doing a hotfix combo today, as the Dragonflight part is pretty small and SoD has plenty of changes! Retail only brings two fixes, one for Rogues and one for Waycrest, while SoD has plenty of class changes, as well as quest XP buffs, PvP event improvements and more.
      February 21 (Source)
      Classes
Rogue Outlaw Fixed an issue with Echoing Reprimand that allowed Slice and Dice to trigger effects like Ruthlessness and Restless Blades as if spending 7 combo points. Dungeons
Waycrest Manor Fixed an issue where receiving Aura of Dread can interrupt a player's channel.
      WoW Classic: Season of Discovery
Elite and Dungeon Quests now grant additional bonus experience. The Dismantle enchant now procs more often for casters and melee. The vendor price of Ez-Thro Radiation Bombs and High-Yield Radiation Bomb has been reduced. Players in the Spirit World can now resurrect at Chained Spirits for up to 30 minutes after a Blood Moon ends. Spirit of Redemption Form will no longer instantly cancel if you attempt to cast spells not allowed in that form. Doing so now returns an error message. A Zandalarian Emissary can now be found atop the Durotar zeppelin tower. Mage Spell Power now benefits the critical strike damage of Spellfrost Bolt. Rogue Preparation now properly resets the cooldowns of Quick Draw, Between the Eyes, and Redirect. Shuriken Toss will no longer sometimes cause loss of combo points when a Rogue is talented into Seal Fate and a bounced Shuriken crits a secondary target. Shaman Offhand Stormstrike hits can now correctly trigger weapon procs, including Windfury Weapon and Flurry. Healing Rain no longer has a variant height for its animation. The Healing Rain cloud now always appears just above player's heads. Warlock Haunt will now properly increase the damage done by Siphon Life. Developers’ notes: Siphon Life behaves like Drain Life and will only be increased by Haunt if it is cast while Haunt is already active. These abilities do not dynamically update their values when Haunt is applied or falls off.

Enhancement Shamans get another shot at their Hidden Artifact appearance this week on live servers!
Enhancement Shamans can loot The Warmace of Shirvallah from World Boss Levantus this week. Here's what the appearance looks like:

The easiest way to reach the boss is to use the portal to Azsuna from your faction's portal room.

Search for the epic world quest Terror of the Deep in Azsuna to find out the exact location of the boss. At Level 70, you can solo the boss easily.

It's worth noting The Warmace of Shirvallah is not a 100% drop. The appearance also has a chance to drop from Flotsam, another Legion World Boss that spawned a few weeks ago, or from Helya in the Trial of Valor. You need to have Doomhammer for the appearance to drop.

Week 5 of the latest patch sees a lot of stability and meta-hardening, but we do also see a new No.1 in the raw DPS charts and at least a little bit of movement elsewhere as well, so let's dive in.
      Warcraft Logs Points
The below logs are based on POINTS, and not actual damage or healing, meaning they log the timed completion for the specs, with higher keys getting more points, obviously. The time in which the dungeon is completed is also a factor, but a much, much smaller one, as it grants very few points if you do it significantly faster than just any in-time completion. We're also using the Normalized Aggregate Scores numbers, for clarity, meaning the top spec is marked as 100 and then the rest are ranked in relation to that peak point.
      All Keys
      95th percentile DPS
We have a pretty solid top 4 already, after the top 3 seemed pretty much locked in in the last few weeks, so the meta is indeed expanding! Retribution comes in at No.5 to stir things up a little, gaining an impressive 2 spots and pushing Balance and Havoc down. The Warlocks are still sticking together in the same two spots, except Demonology is coming out on top this time, and the Warriors are taking the team-sport idea and running with it, gaining 4 spots in 10th and 11th!

Mythic+ All Keys 95th Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      All Percentiles
The generalist bracket is so stable we may as well call it stale, as we have to go all the way down to the final top 10 spot to see any change, where Windwalker jumps in to the final spot and takes Fury's place! Outside the top 10 we see Enhancement gain a lot of ground, and Survival manage to dig itself out of, gaining 5 spots in 13th.

Mythic+ All Keys All Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      U.GG DPS Rankings
U.gg's rankings are based on actual DPS taken from Warcraft Logs data, focusing on the top players and span the past two weeks.
Havoc takes the reins in the raw DPS charts, taking Demonology down! We then have a bit of stability down until 6th where Balance gains 3 spots, while Windwalker overtakes Retribution, and all 3 took down Unholy. Fire sneaks a little bit upwards to close out the top 10, while Affliction and Assassination just can't see to get out of the bottom 3, which is now taken by three A-titled specs, despite Augmentation very much not belonging there.
Mythic+ All Keystone DPS rankings by u.gg.

For even more in-depth data for each individual key head on over to Warcraft Logs and u.gg. And if you're interested in more info on the specs themselves you can always check out our class guides, as well as our Mythic+ guides and Mythic+ tier list.

Blizzard has retroactively buffed the bad luck protection for Fyr'alath, and we're now witnessing the increased drop chance firsthand: a single Heroic Fyrakk kill yielded 6 legendary quest items!
If you've missed the news, Blizzard buffed the effects of Greater Ember of Fyr'alath that permanently increase your chances of acquiring Fyr'alath the Dreamrender and this buff applies retroactively to embers already looted.
In case you haven't caught up with the latest news just yet, Blizzard has buffed the effects of Greater Ember of Fyr'alath and Lesser Ember of Fyr'alath, which permanently up your odds of obtaining Fyr'alath the Dreamrender. The buff also applies to any embers you've previously collected.
Reddit user Cagu95 highlighted this buff by sharing a screenshot of the chat where 6 Fyr'alath the Dreamrenders dropped at once, demonstrating the effectiveness of the bad luck protection buff.
Another player shared a screenshot of a chat where it shows that during a raid, 5 quest items dropped from Heroic Fyrakk.
Reports also indicate that players who have collected 28 Greater Embers have had success looting the Fyr'alath axe from Fyrakk. So, if you've accumulated a lot of embers without any luck, your chances of getting the axe should be pretty good.
And the list goes on and on!

Here's the story of a lucky player who received a decade's worth of mounts in just a few days!
Reddit user brbpizzatime shared some rare mounts that dropped for them in the game only a few days apart.
On February 15, the excitement began when they obtained the Fiery Warhorse's Reins from Attumen the Huntsman in Karazhan, a mount known for its 1% chance of dropping. Although there's a slight discrepancy between the player's claim of the drop date and the armory's record (February 16), the drop is undoubtedly genuine.
The streak continued on February 16, with the player securing the Felsteel Annihilator from Mythic Archimonde in Hellfire Citadel. But the surprises didn't end there.
By February 18, they had added two more rare mounts to their collection: Shackled Ur'zul from Mythic Argus the Unmaker and Mimiron's Head from Yogg-Saron, marking two rare mount drops in a single day. Yet, the player's fortune soared even higher on February 19, when they collected four rare mounts in one day:
Ashes of Al'ar from Kael'thas Sunstrider in Tempest Keep. Reins of the Onyxian Drake from Onyxia in Onyxia's Lair. Smoldering Egg of Millagazor from Ragnaros in Firelands. Flametalon of Alysrazor from Alysrazor in Firelands. For those skeptical of this extraordinary tale, the player's armory profile stands as proof of their incredible luck.

The player also added they've bought a lottery ticket.
