I gave up, doing the first zone a 'snow zone' that lags the hell out of the game, plus dc'fest made me rage quit it.

Sorry you had such a bad experience. I have a few friends that had some issues as well. For me it ran flawless aside from the queue on Friday.

do you know why they give these things in beta? to force the player to come in and do intense tests for what you went through trying to be avoided in your launch.. thanks for trying.

I had zero problems aside from minor lags, which is not a problem with beta servers in mind, where your location also matters. But i'm asking myself if you really had lags or if it was FPS issues, because you mentioned "snow zone" which could also imply "alot of particles / graphical issues" which wouldnt be a network problem, it would mean issues on hardware side. (Note: I dont tell you have a bad system at this point, but maybe something you could tell the dev's, so special issues can be addressed for various parts).

For my example system, i used to test:

- Ryzen 9 3900XT (12-core, running at 4,2 Ghz in gamemode)

- 64 GB Ram

- RTX 2080 SUPER

No issues with that setup.

I didn't get to play much during Early Access, waited 120 minutes in queue only to disconnect again and another queue popped up. Open Beta was definitely smoother, but I experienced a ton of rubberbanding and general lag.

I only completed the campaign and it was extremely cumbersome to level up my HotA Barb at 12-13, but then, gear started to drop and abilities became available from gear. At this point, it was a breeze.

Ah,to add, i was playing druid, so hiting for 20 on each attack at lvl 13 was not really a good experience, too =(

Blizzard have changed the rules of the Hardcore level 100 contest after community backlash. Many posts sprung up in the last few days criticizing the fact that those given review copies and similar access to the pre-release version would have a significant advantage over other players. In response, Blizzard have added a new section of the rules excluding these players from participating in the contest. We've already seen some community members voluntarily take themselves out of the running, but now it's official.

AND (VII) WERE NOT PREVIOUSLY INVITED TO DOWNLOAD THE PRE-RELEASE REVIEW VERSION OF THE GAME DURING THE MONTH OF MAY 2023.
You can read the full competition rules here.

Now, obviously some of those players will still be racing for the first Hardcore level 100. However, they will not be eligible to enter the contest itself. This means that only players that have had no experience with the game other than the public betas will be able to get their names on the Lilith statue.

General manager of the Diablo franchise, Rod Fergusson, also commented on the new rules:

Speaking of the statue, Blizzard President Mike Ybarra recently clarified the details on that:
And he also thanked the community for their swift feedback on the problems:

He did it again! Wudjio is back on the Diablo 4 Server Slam this weekend, pushing for the ultimate achievement: a solo kill of the World Boss Ashava. He had already done it during the last two beta weekends, but players were level 25 then and had a 300% buff to legendary item drop rates!
That made this particular achievement especially great, as many players have been complaining about just how much harder the boss now is. This is in part due to the lower level cap, but there were also many tuning changes to the classes affecting their power.
And if that wasn't enough for you, here's another one, from DeadgeRogue:
And another, and this one isn't even a Rogue, as Alkaizer took the boss down on his Barbarian. You can check out the clip here.
While you may not be able to solo the boss yourself, you can definitely find more players to help. You can also check out the boss spawn times here as there’s only around two more days left to get that exclusive mount trophy!
Wudjio even got a mention by Diablo 4 Community Manager PezRadar!

If you’re looking to defeat Ashava during the Diablo 4 Server Slam to earn the Beta-exclusive mount trophy, here you will find the exact spawn times for the world boss.
      Where Does Ashava Spawn?
Ashava spawns in the bottom right corner of the map, as shown in the screenshot below.

World Boss Ashava Server Slam Spawn Times
The world boss will spawn 9 times during the Server Slam with each spawn being up for 15 minutes. A Reddit user has created a useful cheat sheet with localized spawn times for your region.
