Blizzard have announced the third Evoker specialization, coming with the Fractures in time 10.1.5 update! You can find all the details of the new patch here. Augmentation is a DPS spec which amplifies your party's abilities, either by targeting them or by simply performing your DPS abilities well.

Emberthal and Ebyssian are working together to release the Black dragonflight essence that had been siphoned from the Dracthyr during their long stasis, unlocking memories and powers forgotten to them.

The result of their efforts will be felt by all Dracthyr Evokers as they'll gain access to a brand-new Specialization: Augmentation, available immediately with the release of the Fractures in Time Update!

What is the Augmentation Spec?

Augmentation is a new Damage Dealer role with a twist: they use the essence of the Black and Bronze dragonflights to amplify the abilities of nearby allies. The playstyle for this new specialization involves empowering your allies with a variety of beneficial effects. Some can be cast directly on your allies, while others are tied to using your damage-dealing abilities effectively.

Augmentation Evokers deliver their damage in a wholly unique way. They act as force multipliers, increasing their group's capabilities (and damage output) significantly.

Augmenting Allies

Certain Augmentation abilities (see some examples below) buff either your whole party or specific members. Many of these have smart or proximity-based automatic targeting, enabling you to maintain focus on the battlefield and enemy selection. You will still be able to target specific party members if you desire; however, there is plenty of freedom to bolster your allies as you see fit.

Like the other Evoker specs, Augmentation makes use of familiar capabilities like spending Essence, using your mobility to navigate the battlefield effectively, and making use of empowered spells.

Upheaval in action!

The Power of Black and Bronze

These sample abilities for Augmentation should give you an idea of what each aspect of magic brings to the table. Black dragonflight magic focuses on raw power increases and forceful outbursts of earthen might. Bronze dragonflight magic is all about bending time, changing fate, and shifting timelines to tremendous effect.

Ebon Might

  • 1.5 second cast, 30 second cooldown.
  • Increase your 4 nearest allies’ primary stat by a percentage of your own, and cause your Eruption to deal more damage for 10 sec. Some of your other spells extend the duration of these effects.

Eruption

  • 2 second cast. Costs 3 Essence. Replaces Disintegrate.
  • Cause a violent eruption beneath an enemy’s feet, dealing Volcanic damage split between them and nearby enemies. Increases the duration of your active Ebon Might effects.

Upheaval

  • 2.5 second empower, 40 second cooldown.
  • Gather earthen power beneath your enemy’s feet and send them hurtling upwards, dealing Volcanic damage to them and nearby enemies. Empowering expands the area of effect. Increases the duration of your active Ebon Might effects.

Breath of Eons

  • 1.5 minute cooldown. Replaces Deep Breath.
  • Fly to the targeted location, exposing Temporal Wounds on enemies in your path for 10 sec. Temporal Wounds accumulate a portion of damage dealt by your allies, and then critically strike the enemy for that amount at the end of the duration. Increases the duration of your active Ebon Might effects.

A Great Display of Talent

With access to a brand-new spec tree, Augmentation Evokers can choose to further specialize in Bronze or Black magic, as well as discover new ways to power up their allies.

Draconic Attunements (Passive)

  • Learn to attune yourself to the essence of the Black or Bronze dragonflights:
    • Black Attunement grants you and your 4 nearest allies increased maximum health.
    • Bronze Attunement grants you and your 4 nearest allies increased movement speed.

Blistering Scales

  • Protect an ally with explosive dragonscales, increasing their Armor by a percentage of your own. Melee attacks against them cause a scale to explode, dealing Volcanic damage to enemies near them.

Bestow Weyrnstone

  • Conjure a pair of Weyrnstones, one for your target ally and one for yourself. A weyrnstone can be activated by the bearer to transport them to the other Weyrnstone's location if they are within 100 yds.

Expand Your Horizons

Augmentation Evokers offers a unique opportunity to delve into a playstyle never seen before in World of Warcraft. While we're still working on some aspects of this new paradigm (like introducing some new combat log hooks so that addons and community websites can effectively measure your performance, for example), we hope you've enjoyed this early look at it. We'll see you in the Dragon Isles!

whopti fkn doo i am hyped my friends. not only the fact that they are actually giving us a thrid spec in the middle of the xpac no they are actually giving us a sup spec and its a damage dealer and not a healer.

i really feared they would go the save route and just make it a tank or if they actually want to give us a sup spec its going to be a healer and that would never work and die quite soon but with a damage spec this whole thing can work out great if they put in the effort

Interesting, did not expect another spec to be damage as well. Thought it might be a tank.

Still no DH 3rd spec????? Legion is like 6 or 8 years old and no DH 3rd spec, kinda of a big let down.

What could they realistically do for DH? At least with evoker, we had red and blue dragon abilities in devastation and green and bronze in preservation. The only black flight abilities before now were a defensive and a crowd control ability.

no one is going to play this, this is going to be one of those specs that gets a MASSIVE rework the very next expansion after it's introduction, they should have just gone with a tank spec that everyone has wanted.

Who's no one? I'm definitely going to be playing this. It's exciting to finally have a support specialization in the game and what's even better is that it isn't a convoluted "support" healer specialization. They honestly didn't even have to put a third specialization on it. I can't wait.

oh i am giong to play this i wait for a sup spec for so long i am hyped. another tank spec? well there is no room for another tank in my guild so i wont ever play it just like i never played any of the other tank specs. every class that came into this game has a tank spec i dont think this one not having one isnt that big of a deal but i am fearing that blizz screws up the balance and then they turn it into a normal dd cause its easier

After playing it on the ptr. I honestly think this should have been better as a tank spec. The Buffs are strong, but the dps lags so much that you ponder if the buff will really be worth sacrificing a full dps slot for one. If it was a tank however, they could still buff, and no one would have cared about their dps because as a tank no one expects you to do high dps anyway

It seems WoW Token prices have stabilized now after the steep decrease followed by Blizzard's implementation of anti-bot measures, effective November 21.
We're using WoWTokenPrices to compare WoW Token prices in the US and EU regions.
      US Region
The one-day low reached 250,863 gold in the US region, down from 255,976 gold on November 23. The peak soared to 269,216 gold, down from 291,520 gold compared to November 23. As of now, the WoW Token costs 263,465 gold (down from 266,798 gold).

      EU Region
Currently, the WoW Token is valued at 320,982 gold (down from 352,730 gold). The day's lowest price was recorded at 317,016 gold (down from 349,699 gold), contrasting with a high of 342,126 gold (down from 393,678 gold).

As you can see, WoW Token prices continue to decrease slightly in both regions, but the drop isn't as significant.
We'll continue to monitor the latest WoW Token prices, so keep an eye out for further updates!

Experience and reputation gains will be increased again by 29% starting December 3, so you may want to save your Dream Wardens reputation tokens for Sunday!
Darkmoon Faire's buff increases XP and reputation gains by 10% from December 3-10. WoW's 19th anniversary event buff increases XP and reputation gains by 19% until December 7. In case you've missed Pilgrim's Bounty, you can again make use of the +29% reputation and XP buff between December 3-7! The buff also works for Dream Wardens, so you might want to hold off on your reputation tokens until then.

U.gg's tier list is created by evaluating damage and healing scores from the very best players and factoring in the frequency of each spec's appearances in the highest rankings of the current Mythic+ season. The tier list of each spec is determined by its effectiveness and prevalence at the highest levels of Mythic+ play.

Amirdrassil has been added to the Dragon Isles and world map as a proper zone in Patch 10.2.5.
Currently on live servers you must defeat Fyrakk to see Amirdrassil without having to visit the Emerald Dream. However, the zone will be available to everyone regardless of whether or not you've downed Fyrakk in Patch 10.2.5.
Here is the updated world map in Patch 10.2.5.

As you can see, the Dragon Isles outline now includes Amirdrassil.

The Dragon Isles continent map has also been updated to include Amirdrassil.

Finally, here's the new zone map. It's basically the central portion of the Emerald Dream map. Emerald Dream's still accessible through the Ancient Bough portal.
