Encrypted Mount Achievement May Be Pointing to 11.0 Expansion

Recommended Posts

We may have gotten a big hint at what the next WoW expansion could be. Redditor Wiraneusz came across some achievements that include cross-promotion items for Warcraft Rumble, but also possibly the next expansion's Heroic edition mount!

The "Heroic Edition: Algarian Stormrider" achievement is the big one from the list below, as it matches up with previous Heroic edition achievement names and is found int he same "promotions" section as the others. Wowhead's dataminers also confirmed the existence of these achievements, or at leas their names, as they are still encrypted.

There are also the three "Storm Rider" medals, possibly related to new Dragonriding-type races in the new expansion.

So what does this mean, what exactly is an Alarian Stormrider? Well, one of the commenters on the reddit thread pointed out a potential connection with dwarves/the earthen. Jump9575 remembered a new piece of Titan Watcher text from the Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr dungeon added in Dragonflight. The text talks about the earthen and their transformation via the Curse of Flesh, and specifically mentions "Khaz Algar" as one of the locations a sub-species of earthen (which also showed signs of the Curse of Flesh) went to. You can check out the full text here.

Considering the above and the "Stormrider" part the header image takes on a whole new meaning now. So, will we be seeing some (possibly Wildhammer-related) earthen/dwarves in Khaz Algar in 11.0? Or does the Algarian Stormrider have nothing to do with the place mentioned in Uldaman? How about a gryphon mount for the Heroic edition?

Here's the original reddit post:

We also very recently speculated about the Naga Terrarium back item and its relation to 11.0, so could both these things come together in a naga/dwarf expansion?

So like Elemental/Titan theme? Although we've got quite a lot of it in this expansion, so it would have been too similar. Interesting.

Can't say I'm excited for Rumble rewards in game. These things should be kept separate outside of some promotions, but here it looks like there is a series of them.

Since we're having Titan theme for the expansion, really hope we have playable Mogu or maybe even Naga for the expansion. New races are always a big draw (except for Dracthyr lol)

I just hope we get a real race and not some allied race bs, I want a 2 new zones for each race to level in, a capital, the works, i'm sick of blizzard being lazy

Would've been nice to have a proper new race that is not locked into one class. And actual racial capital! We haven't seen these since Burning Crusade. I think Naga are very unlikely (and what reason they would have to join if Azshara is still alive?), it must be a two-legged race. Mogu could work, but they have same problem as Ogres and Vrykul, they would have to be super tiny compared to regular mobs, probably the size of Kul Tirans.

All Mists of Pandaria raids and World Bosses are on a daily lockout in Patch 10.2.7.
We're not sure if the change is intended or a MoP Remix feature, but somehow, daily lockouts for MoP raids and World Bosses have slipped through to live servers even before the event's starts on May 16. Maybe this is a way to give retail players more chances on Tusks of Mannoroth since you can buy them directly from a vendor during MoP Remix.
If you're farming Garrosh, don't forget there is a skip at the beginning of the raid. As you enter, interact with the scroll on the wall.

Gleeful Glamour is an Enchanting item in the War Within that lets you temporarily change the race of your character.
Enchanting adds interesting scrolls that let you cosmetically change your character's race for a short period of time. The associated spell with all the transformations is:
Magical Mischief - Don the mask, magically altering your appearance to that of another one of Azeroth's residents. Lasts 20-60 min. based on the quality of the Gleeful Glamour. (1 sec cast, 2 hrs cooldown) From the description, we know the transformation lasts for 20-60 minutes and is on a 2-hour cooldown.

Blizzard has added Glyph of Jab for Monks in the War Within, making Tiger Palm strike your target with your equipped weapon!
We've got some great news for all Monk players out there. In the War Within expansion, Blizzard has added Glyph of Jab that makes Tiger Palm strike your target with your equipped weapon, instead of your fists.

In the past, Glyph of Jab was a minor glyph used by monks, designed to ensure that the Jab ability was executed with hands and fist animations even when non-fist weapons were equipped. You will find more details here.

We've looked at the number of chapters of the War Within level-up campaign and compared it to Dragonflight.
      War Within Level Up Campaign
The level-up campaign in each zone consists of 3 chapters, so you will end up with a total of 12 level-up chapters in the new expansion. You will spend roughly an hour completing the main storyline in each zone.

Isle of Dorn (Zone 1 Level Up Questing)
Chapter 1: Breaking Point Chapter 2: Earthen Fissures Chapter 3: The First Blow The Ringing Deeps (Zone 2 Level Up Questing)
Chapter 1: By Candlelight Chapter 2: Dark Revelations Chapter 3: The Monster and the Machine The Hallowfall Arathi (Zone 3 Level Up Questing)
Chapter 1: The Guiding Start Chapter 2: Gathering Shadows Chapter 3: Hope in Solidarity  Azj-Kahet (Zone 5 Level Up Questing)
Chapter 1: Friends in the Dark Chapter 2: Unraveling the Trapped Chapter 3: Plans within Plans Dragonflight Campaign Chapters
When we compare War Within level up chapter numbers with Dragonflight zones, the expansion shipped with a total of 15 level-up chapters spread across 4 zones:
Waking Shores had 5 campaign chapters. Ohn'ahran Plains shipped with 4 campaign chapters. Azure Span had 4 campaign chapters. Thaldraszus shipped with 3 campaign chapters. Max-Level Campaign
The War Within (Max Level Questing) consists of 4 chapters. The fourth campaign name is unknown at this time and Blizzard will most likely hotfix it.
Chapter 1: Against the Current Chapter 2: Ties That Bind Chapter 3: The Machines March to War Chapter 4: Unknown name
