Patch 10.2 Finale Cinematic Name Revealed in Latest PTR Build

The latest update to the PTR provides a clue to the culmination of the Emerald Dream storyline. Beware, spoilers ahead!

Although we can't playtest the concluding chapters of the Emerald Dream campaign on the PTR, an update to the SceneScriptPackage database file has revealed the title of the final Patch 10.2 cinematic. The content remains encrypted, but the title offers a glimpse into the upcoming narrative developments.

Titled "New Moon," it's speculated that Amirdrassil might transition from the Emerald Dream to Azeroth, potentially providing the Night Elves with a new sanctuary. This would be a fitting closure to the Dragonflight expansion.

Given that the dilemmas of all the dragonflights are addressed in Patch 10.2, it's widely believed that "Guardians of the Dream" could be the expansion's ultimate major content patch. What do you think?

Quite a strange ending, I didn't initially expect this expansion to end with Emerald Dream. Does it mean all remaining Incarnates are going to die (except perhaps the one who defected) in this patch? It would feel more "proper" to me if there was another content patch outside of Emerald Dream that would wrap it up.I hope this whole story with Primalists will be over at least. They aren't interesting enough to keep them around any longer.

Without knowing ANYTHING (obvs) I'd say that Vyranoth probably helps us defeat Fyrakk, likely sacrificing herself. That just leaves Iridikron who, most likely, will be the bridge into the next expansion - kinda like Gul'Dan was with WoD into Legion.

Raszageth is dead, Fyrakk is about to be, Vyranoth joins the Aspects, Iridikron threw his lot with the Void.
I think it's pretty wrapped up?..

But we aren't fighting Iridikron in this patch? So it would seem they intend to keep him for next expansion. Not sure what's going to happen to Vyranoth, will she stay with the Aspects and just remain there?

Why wouldn't she? She was pissed at Alexstrasza for a number of reasons, but the latter seems to be remorseful enough (well that, and Fyrakk trying to screw over the world) for Vyranoth to join the Aspects' side. Plus there's that datamined spell that suggests Vyranoth might become one herself, and there are plenty of protodragons around that can form her Flight.

As for Iridikron, I think it's a good thing they keep him for now. He does have a vibe of being the mastermind-type villian, but unlike the Jailer or N'Zoth he's pretty down to earth about it - power and species included. So, he doesn't underestimate 'puny mortals' that have toppled plenty of higher tier creatures than him, and rather plucks the strings - much like the whole Abberus deal was less about empowering Fyrakk and getting a faction of Dracthyr on his side and more about keeping the Flights distracted from what he's up to.

Well, that said, he's also joined up with Xal'atath and the Void. It would be a disservice to waste him and this development for a 5-man dungeon or storyline, now would it?

Makes sense, she could lead remaining proto-dragons, so they would get equal treatment next to other dragonflights.

One thing which is inconsistent about proto-dragons is that they were initially depicted as non-sentient (Aspects and Galakrond were an exception, when proto-dragons transformed into dragons their intelligence increased), yet here most are capable of speech. Lore of the dragons is weird anyway, like there are these storm dragons in Broken Isles or Cloud Serpents in Pandaria (and also another animal named cloud serpent, but unrelated to dragons).

Unless they kill him in another 5 man dungeon in next expansion. 😜 Personally, I don't find Iridikron that interesting to keep him around. Perhaps he does have a bigger plan, but he could easily end up as just another pawn for the Void Lords. Maybe he will get corrupted and go insane, but this would have been the most obvious and boring way to end his story. Basically another Deathwing.

We're looking at how many raid bosses each World of Warcraft expansion has introduced.
This chart, created by Reddit user throwaway4201251315, lays out the count of raid bosses across all WoW expansions, including Dragonflight.

The chart's fine details are hard to make out, but it's clear that the original Vanilla version launched with the highest number of raid bosses (about 55-60), whereas Dragonflight had the fewest (around 25-30), a figure similar to what we saw in Cataclysm. Notably, Blizzard's decision to skip .3 patches and the introduction of Fated Raids have contributed to a declining trend in the number of raid bosses in both Shadowlands and Dragonflight.
It seems that players generally prefer raids with 8-9 bosses, finding larger raids like Ny'alotha and Sepulcher to be exhausting.

Collecting mounts really has become as much of a part of WoW as raiding, dungeons, questing and PvP at this point, as players constantly want more and more. Today we're taking a look at another hirumaredx video, this time focusing on the 10 rarest mounts players can still obtain today!
While I'm sure this list will be disputed, it's still fun to see what could be considered some of the most rare rides on Azeroth, especially if you happen to own one already! The list is based off of both drop chances and actual difficulty to obtain, as the first one is basically a 100% "drop", but will take a long time to get.

One of the Trading Post activities this month requires players to kill the Lich King for Tender and one lucky player went to Icecrown Citadel and looted Invincible's Reins!
Title Description Travel Points Defeat the Lich King   Kill the Lich King in the Icecrown Citadel.   50 50 Tender convinced naturzaros to visit Icecrown Citadel and kill the Lich King who was very generous in return and dropped Invincible's Reins.

The axe-wielding, tree-burning dragon has a sense of humor, as he will laugh at anyone that dies to his fire during the raid encounter (and you get an achievement if you didn't get it before!
The Still Standing in the Fire achievement came along with patch 10.1 and Fyrakk Assaults. It was a little tricky to get as you had to find where to stand and die to the fire, which didn't really 1-shot you. Luckily with 10.2, it got a whole lot easier (well, for raiders anyway). The achievement is named after the original, where Deathwing had to kill you either during the Dragon Soul raid or when he was breathing all over Azeroth.
As spotted by ah_kooky_kat, dying to Fyrakk in the raid also triggers the achievement, and he still laughs at you!

The very old-school WeakAura in the screenshot also got a lot of attention the the thread below.
