Amirdrassil Raid Layout and Boss Order

Recommended Posts

Sn-mka-obrazovky-2023-11-01-o-9-14-33.jp

Here's the layout for Amirdrassil the Dream's Hope raid opening on November 14. Check it out if you're interested in learning about boss order, trash in between the bosses, and the raid skip!

Amirdrassil Boss Order

The 10.2 raid contains 9 bosses. At the beginning of the raid, there's some trash before you face Gnarloot, the raid's first boss. Kill 1 pack and you will get to Igira, the second raid boss.

Now, your raid has 2 options. You can either go kill Volcoross and Larodar or proceed with the Council of Dreams and Nymue.

There's a fair amount of trash leading to both Volcorros and Council, but only a handful of packs between Volcoross > Larodar and just 1 pack between Council > Nymue.

Your raid must clear both wings to reach Smolderon. At this point, there are no trash mobs and the boss order is linear.

Smolderon > Tindral Sageswift > Fyrakk

Here's also a visual representation of the layout from Reddit.

Amirdrassil Raid Skip

A raid quest must be completed to unlock the Amirdrassil raid skip. First, you must defeat Smolderon on the same difficulty 3 times to loot 3 Fragment of Emberscar Fragment of Emberscar. After the quest is done, your raid can skip from Igira straight to Tindral Sageswift.

Respect the fact it looks like they're toning down the amount of trash in the raids, it's a start.

Still not enough to justify going hard on Raiding when mythic + exists but i'll take a W from Blizzard where I can

I don't think it was that bad. I personally like the little 5-10 minutes downtime inbetween fights. I think the most trash in Aberrus was between the first boss and the Assault boss, and even that was mostly fun by pulling multiple packs and have fun with your cooldowns for a minute. Besides, for trash drops to exist there has to be at least some trash mobs.

They definitely had parts with too many trash in the past, but I like it how it is right now. If they remove any more they might as well put no trash at all in there.

Don't get me wrong, trash is not the main problem with wasting time raiding. It's like 3rd or 4th on the list and Aberrus wasn't terrible for it besides where you mention and the experiment wing

The other time wasting annoyances of raiding are:

1. Not spawning in front of the boss

2. Not having a summon stone outside of every boss arena

3. Trash mobs

4. Not having cooldowns auto reset on pull

Fixing these problems would make less people leave and would just make raiding more bearable as a whole.

We're looking at how many raid bosses each World of Warcraft expansion has introduced.
This chart, created by Reddit user throwaway4201251315, lays out the count of raid bosses across all WoW expansions, including Dragonflight.

The chart's fine details are hard to make out, but it's clear that the original Vanilla version launched with the highest number of raid bosses (about 55-60), whereas Dragonflight had the fewest (around 25-30), a figure similar to what we saw in Cataclysm. Notably, Blizzard's decision to skip .3 patches and the introduction of Fated Raids have contributed to a declining trend in the number of raid bosses in both Shadowlands and Dragonflight.
It seems that players generally prefer raids with 8-9 bosses, finding larger raids like Ny'alotha and Sepulcher to be exhausting.

Collecting mounts really has become as much of a part of WoW as raiding, dungeons, questing and PvP at this point, as players constantly want more and more. Today we're taking a look at another hirumaredx video, this time focusing on the 10 rarest mounts players can still obtain today!
While I'm sure this list will be disputed, it's still fun to see what could be considered some of the most rare rides on Azeroth, especially if you happen to own one already! The list is based off of both drop chances and actual difficulty to obtain, as the first one is basically a 100% "drop", but will take a long time to get.

The axe-wielding, tree-burning dragon has a sense of humor, as he will laugh at anyone that dies to his fire during the raid encounter (and you get an achievement if you didn't get it before!
The Still Standing in the Fire achievement came along with patch 10.1 and Fyrakk Assaults. It was a little tricky to get as you had to find where to stand and die to the fire, which didn't really 1-shot you. Luckily with 10.2, it got a whole lot easier (well, for raiders anyway). The achievement is named after the original, where Deathwing had to kill you either during the Dragon Soul raid or when he was breathing all over Azeroth.
As spotted by ah_kooky_kat, dying to Fyrakk in the raid also triggers the achievement, and he still laughs at you!

The very old-school WeakAura in the screenshot also got a lot of attention the the thread below.
