We have some Heroic Fyrakk buffs, class changes, the distance check API restrictions and a lot more in today's hotfix batch.

      • Fixed an issue that caused Essence Font Essence Font to fire one more bolt than intended per second channeled.
      • Developers’ notes: We’re aware of an issue that will cause Essence Font’s tooltip to display an incorrect channel rate after this fix. This will be addressed in a future update.
  • Rogue
    • Assassination
      • Fixed an issue that allowed Sanguine Blades Sanguine Blades damage from vulnerability damage increases on enemies to be unintentionally doubled.
      • Fixed an issue that allowed Poisoned Edges (Aberrus 2-piece set bonus) damage from vulnerability damage increases on enemies to be unintentionally doubled.

  • Amirdrassil, the Dream’s Hope
    • Fyrakk
      • Developers’ notes: Both player feedback and data have indicated that Heroic Fyrakk doesn’t pose as much of a challenge as we’d intended. We’d like Fyrakk to be a satisfying ending to Amirdrassil, the Dream’s Hope for the vast majority of players who have yet to encounter him, so we’re making a few adjustments to the overall difficulty of the encounter.
      • Burning Scales damage increased by 40%.
      • There is now an additional occurrence of Blaze during Stage Three.
      • Blaze damage increased by 40%.
      • Damage of colliding with a Swirling Firestorm increased by 60%.
  • Dawn of the Infinite
    • Resolved an issue that could cause Chromie to get stuck channeling on Blight of Galakrond during a Mythic Keystone run.
    • Resolved an issue which could prevent Manifested Timeways from spawning.

  • Restricted addon functions that allowed for in-combat distance checking between players.
    • Developers’ notes: This change was intended to be implemented with the launch of the Guardians of the Dream patch, to avoid requiring that addon authors update their addons separately after the content is already being played. We apologize for the confusion and inconvenience.

      The latest Beta build brings several key changes to the Mage class, affecting Arcane and Fire specs with updates to spells and abilities. Here's a detailed look at the adjustments:
      Mage
      Reabsorption - You are healed for 5% 3% of your maximum health whenever a Mirror Image dissipates due to direct damage. Mirror Image - While your images are active damage taken is reduced by 20%. Mirror Image's cooldown is reduced by 10 sec whenever a Mirror Image dissipates due to direct damage.. Reduplication : Creates 3 copies of you nearby for 40 sec, which cast spells and attack your enemies. Normal: Creates 3 copies of you nearby for 40 sec, which cast spells and attack your enemies. Taking direct damage will cause one of your images to dissipate. Reabsorption : Creates 3 copies of you nearby for 40 sec, which cast spells and attack your enemies You are healed for 5% 3% of your maximum health whenever a Mirror Image dissipates due to direct damage.       Clearcasting - Arcane Missiles fires 1 additional missile.       We're taking a closer look at the item level of rewards from Delves that you will find in the Great Vault in the War Within!
      Delves are short scenarios or mini-dungeons where you must complete various objectives in two stages and defeat a boss to get to the treasure room. They come in 11 tiers and they will also grant you items in the Great Vault, which is fantastic news for anyone that doesn't like dungeons or raids!
      Delve Tiers 1, 2, 3 are unlocked by default for everyone and those tiers will be available until Season 1 launches on September 10. When Season 1 launches, you can unlock Delve Tiers 4-11. Higher tiers are obviously more difficult, but offer better rewards. You must clear the previous tier to unlock a new tier. For example, clearing a Tier 5 Delve without dying 5 times will unlock Tier 6 for you. The Great Vault item level is capped at Delve Tier 8, so the only point in completing Tier 9-11 are achievements.
      Thanks to rosemansion222, we have the exact item level of rewards from the Great Vault in the War Within Season 1, let's dive in!

      Special Assignments in the War Within are endgame quests where you need to complete three world quests to unlock a special task that rewards you with a loot cache and other items.
      On the Isle of Dorn map, there's a Special Assignment called Cinderbee Surge, which unlocks only after you complete three quests in the zone. You can find Special Assignments in all four Khaz Algar zones.

      Once you meet the requirements, you can start the special assignment in the zone.

      These tasks are often very challenging because they involve defeating Level 80 Elites in densely populated areas. My Level 80 hunter with Item Level 600 died about four times, even with two pets, so you might want to use the Group Finder to invite other players and complete these assignments faster.
      For example, I had to kill bees in areas where attracting additional enemies would lead to certain death.

      Special Assignment Rewards
      Completing a special assignment grants you 200 reputation points for the zone and a Seasoned Adventurer's Cache. This weekly cache contains upgrade materials (crests and Valorstones), gold, and Coffer Key Shards for opening treasure chests at the end of delves. The first two weekly caches will also include a piece of Adventurer gear.

      The spellbook has been redesigned in the War Within update, but not everyone likes the new UI. Here’s why.
      Starting with the War Within pre-patch on July 23, this is what the spellbook in World of Warcraft will look like. 

      With no resize option implemented for the spellbook, the main complaint is that the new design takes up the entire screen.
      There’s only one button to resize it, and even then, the single tab still dominates the screen. If only the background were translucent, so you could see what's happening with your character.
