wow WoW Token Purchasing Restrictions Coming on November 21st

Blizzard will be implementing some restrictions to the purchase of WoW tokens starting with next week's reset! The reasoning behind it is to preserve the game's integrity and have a better token market.

The restrictions will be to AH and Blizzard Shop gold purchases, as players will need to have bought at least 30 days of game time with real money since 2017.

In order to preserve the integrity of the game and provide a better token market to players, with an update to World of Warcraft on Tuesday, November 21, we will enable the following restriction in this region.

• Players will no longer be allowed to purchase a WoW Token from the Auction House or the in-game Shop for gold if they have not spent real money to purchase and consume at least 30 days of game time (a “Time Limited License”) since 2017.

This does not affect the consumption of existing WoW Tokens, however, game time provided by the consumption of a WoW Token does not count toward the qualification to purchase a WoW Token for gold.

After November 21, 2023, any player who cannot purchase a WoW Token for gold in-game will need to first purchase and consume at least 30 days of game time for real money. This can be done on any World of Warcraft account across the player’s Battle.net account to qualify.

Kind of surprised they don't make someone buy one every year.  Six years seems a bit random.  IDK I 'assume' it to force BOTS to pay once in a blue???

This is a good move. Botters have been scamming this token since it's inception. This will massively cut down on that. Most companies, even if they offer something for free- make you buy something as part of it. Companies have to pay their employees and bills, this isn't a charity operation here. 

The token has lead to inflation. Just look at how the price of the token has changed. Blizz should give the non token using players some sort of stimulus package to help with this inflation!
