Warrior Players Unhappy with the Lack of Choice in Odyn Questline

Recommended Posts

In Battle for Azeroth, players were given the choice to side with Sylvanas, but the latest Dragonflight questline involving Odyn lacks any choice leaving Warrior players unhappy.

Back in Battle for Azeroth, Horde players could either side with Sylvanas or against her during the story. Patch 10.2 introduces a similar questline that revolves around Odyn and Vyranoth. If you didn't play through it, I won't go into any spoilers, but Warrior players were not particularly happy with how the questline was executed, as they could not side with Odyn.

As a testament to that, we have the following Reddit thread with over 1.9K upvotes by Reddit user Maleficent-Way-2046 who says "I am a Warrior and have the Battlelord title, I carry Warswords of the Valarjar, why would I side against Odyn?" Well, that's a good question!

This quest makes no sense to me, I am a WARRIOR, I have the BATTLELORD title, I carry the WARSWORDS OF THE VALARJAR, Why would I attack the Halls of Valor? ''I hate Odyn, wanna punch in face'' No I don't, I support everything he has done, why is there no option for that?

Instead, Blizzard could have given Warriors a choice to side with Odyn and some special interactions based on their choice. What do you think?

Aside from Valhalla-themed Class Hall being the most questionable choice Blizz made when going for Class Identity...

...maybe adding an option just for the sake of adding it, not sure why would anyone want not to defend this useless hypocrite of a character.

I've mained a Warrior since pre-Legion and I absolutely despise Odyn.  That valor obsessed idiot can stay ice blocked forever for all I care.  Actually, they should thaw him out in a few hundred years just to beat him up and flog him a while, then refreeze him.  He's the one aspect of playing a Warrior that I've never been able to stand.  I hate everything about him.  His entire personality can be summed up with 'Go fight for me, fight for my amusement, get yourself repeatedly beaten up and stabbed and maimed and brutalized and disemboweled and killed for my entertainment to prove your valorrrrrrrrrr!  And maybe, just maybe I'll deem you worthy!  Just kidding!  You still suck!  Go fight and die for me some more you scrub.'  Even his voice overs are obnoxious.  He is by far the worst class leader of them all.

In my warrior order hall, the reason all the champions are coming to me and begging for mission duty is that I can get them out of the hall.

The artifact researcher is super frustrated though, ever since the mages figured out how to merge all the halls' research info they are stuck in only the local library.   They wanna go out and fight for it...

OK, now that you know where I stand, I can see a perspective of people who didn't do Shadowlands, of folks who don't know that he early on pulled a particularly Dumb Thing, and it caused other dumb things.

They could simply think of him as a Titan Watcher who adopted the critters whose descendants would become Humans.

You have just highlighted how I felt the first time that Blizz decided to change a numbering system, swept up all my Honor Points and gave me 16 gp and loose change.

Let's check out the unique and rare mounts available from the vendor in MoP Remix.
MoP Remix introduces 29 new mounts for your collection. However, there are some additional very rare mounts from raids and world bosses with a drop chance of around 1%. The best part is that you can buy them from vendors once you have enough Bronze. Just keep in mind that these items have a minimum level requirement and are quite expensive.
Reins of the Astral Cloud Serpent (1% drop from Elegon in Mogu'shan Vaults)

Reins of the Cobalt Primordial Direhorn (1% drop from world boss Oondasta)

Reins of the Slate Primordian Direhorn (Low chance to drop from the Zandalari Warbringer Rare Elite in Townlong Steppes)

Reins of the Amber Primordial Direhorn (Zandalari Warbringer)

Reins of the Jade Primordial Direhorn (Zandalari Warbringer)

Spawn of Horridon (1% drop from Horridon in Throne of Thunder)

Reins of the Heavenly Onyx Cloud Serpent (1% drop chance from Sha of Anger)

Reins of the Thundering Cobalt Cloud Serpent (World Boss Nalak)

Reins of the Thundering Onyx Cloud Serpent (World Boss Huolon)

Reins of the Thundering Ruby Cloud Serpent (Alani)

Son of Galleon (World Boss Galleon)

      Kor'kron Juggernaut (Mythic Garrosh)

Clutch of Ji-Kun (Ji-Kun in Throne of Thunder)

For more details, head to our MoP Remix rewards guide!

The limited time Remix event just got a lot less deadly, as Blizzard fix another bug. Certain high level boss abilities were doing double damage, but a hotfix has cleared that all up!

With a hotfix that we applied a few minutes ago, we’ve fixed a bug that was causing some high-level boss abilities to unintentionally do double damage to players.
For players who have been inside an instance since before the hotfix went out, there will be no change until you leave and start a new instance.
Thank you for your reports and feedback!

Players without the Dragonflight expansion have been having trouble after reaching level 60in the MoP Remix event. Their characters would become locked, as levels 60 and up were part of the Dragonflight expansion, so there was quite a bit of confusion since the event wasn't supposed to require the latest expansion.
Luckily Blizzard have now clarified that this was a bug, and have since resolved it!

We believe that this issue has been fixed with an update that we deployed with realm restarts earlier this morning.

Our latest mount preview from the War Within Alpha covers Shadow Elementals. KSM mounts, anyone?
Blizzard hasn't officially confirmed any KSM mounts for War Within yet, but we've already seen two tints for the upcoming Gladiator mounts. It wouldn't surprise us if these turn out to be War Within Keystone Master mounts for the upcoming seasons. So far, we have three tints: black, gold, and purple.
      Black

      Gold

      Purple
