The War Within and Pre-Patch Release Window, Alpha and Beta

Recommended Posts

We got a lot of information on the War Within's release schedule in today's 2024 WoW roadmap! While there are no exact dates we do now know the release windows for not only the expansion itself, but also the pre-patch, Alpha and Beta, and even 11.0.5!

As you can see, the Alpha and Beta are a little hidden at the bottom there, but the Alpha is set to start between Winter 2023 and Spring 2024, and the Beta between spring and summer, with the 11.0 pre-patch coming just before the summer! The expansion itself is set between summer and autumn, with 10.0.5 coming in Autumn proper.

There's a whole lot to look forward to with wow's 10th expansion, including the 20th Anniversary Event there at the end!

Oh yeah, warbands. As primarily a solo player, that might entice me to return. I haven't played in over 5 years now, since shortly after Battle for Azeroth's first patch or so. Will be interesting to experience all the things they've changed in the past 5 years.

Danta is back with another soloing guide, this time, covering how to obtain Glory of the Uldir Raider achievement that rewards a crawg mount!
Glory of the Uldir Raider rewards the Bloodgorged Crawg mount and you must enter Uldir, the first Battle for Azeroth raid, to earn the achievement and get the mount.
Here's what the mount looks like:
      Bloodgorged Crawg
This crawg was left alone to feast on G'huun's corrupted blood and rot. He was so happy.

The Uldir meta-achievement requires players to complete a total of 8 achievements (1 per boss). For more details, you can watch Danta's video linked below.
In case you've missed it, there's also a guide on how to solo the Tomb raider meta-achievement.

It's surprising to learn just how many racial abilities have been removed from WoW over the years (or changed/nerfed enough as to basically be a different ability). Today we have hirumaredx going over some of the most overpowered and fun ones.
The first one triggers me greatly, as the idea of tauren just running around really fast instead of mounting was one of the reasons I even installed WoW back in the day in the first place! The video also talks about Priest-specific racial spells , some that don't fit the OP or fun description of the video, the Blood Elf ones you knew would be featured, and more.

During one raid, we got to see the Fyr'alath bad luck protection buff work wonders, yielding 12 drops from a single Fyrakk kill.
Sacolas shared an interesting shot on Reddit, showing 12 Fyr'alaths dropping simultaneously! This might just be the record for the most Fyr'alath the Dreamrender drops we've seen from a single kill to date. Sadly, the original poster missed out on the quest item, and looted instead a Greater Ember of Fyr'alath. Here's hoping for better luck next week!

What's the highest number of Fyr'alaths you've seen drop from one kill? Let us know in the comments below!
