wow Hungarian Gamer Sets New World Record with 59-Hour World of Warcraft Marathon

Hungarian gamer Barnabás Vujity-Zsolnay has shattered the Guinness World Record for the longest marathon session in an MMORPG by playing World of Warcraft for nearly two and a half days!

According to Guinness World Records, Barnabás, who is a professional chef based in Budapest, dedicated himself to the game for an astonishing 59 hours and 20 minutes, beating the previous record by a whopping 23 hours and 31 minutes.

His marathon was broadcast from the studio of Hungarian gaming website esport1.hu, with all proceeds from the stream going to charity.

Barnabás spent most of the time clearing dungeons with friends and doing Arenas. After playing for 30 hours, he says he began to get bored as he had run out of things to do, and around the 45-hour mark, he began to hallucinate.

"I noticed mild hallucinations starting to form," he recalls. "It was funny but also hard to concentrate while live streaming." He only rested 5 minutes every hour of play.

Barnabás plays World of Warcraft over a decade and as a teenager, he would often play for up to 10 hours on weekdays and 16 hours on weekends.

“I love the game and I will retake the record if it’s beaten. This is mine for life – I want everyone to know that.”

This reminds me, recently there was some well known Overwatch player who "played" the game for a few days. As it turned out, he died at some point (drug overdose, plus apparently he was a psycho and a criminal).

People have actually died from super long marathon gaming sessions.  Blood clots forming in the legs and such and traveling to the lungs.  Google it if you don't believe me.
If anyone has the bright idea to try and beat this guy's record, remember to make yourself get up and stretch and move and walk every so often.
