More Classes for the Dracthyr Race in The War Within

Recommended Posts

Game Director Ion Hazzikostas has confirmed that the Dracthyr race will have more class options in The War Within. However, this feature may not be ready in time for the expansion's launch.

This update was highlighted in a tweet by MrGM, who shared insights from a London content creator interview about the Dracthyr.

  • The plan is to introduce the ability for Dracthyr to play as other classes in War Within.
  • Emphasis on playing in Visage form.
  • Required animations for other classes are actively being worked on.
  • The implementation is unlikely to happen at launch, but targeted for early in the expansion cycle.

Playing in Visage form piques my interest but until then it's a pass due to mog and goofiness

God forbid players were given the option to play Dracthyr using the Ossuary Guard model in modern times though

Never forget what Blizzard took away from you

Why not just keep them as they are, unless it's new classes only for them.

More options are never a bad thing

Because while having a single race/class combination like that is super cool thematically, it's super annoying as a game mechanic.

"Want to be a dragon-person but don't like playing Evoker? Ha ha! GTFO.", is not a great stance to take.

Personally, I hope they allow for the permanent visage form for evoker as well so people can finally mog on that class. Maybe force them into dracthyr form for breath abilities but just change back after if they HAVE to be in that form at all.

While having more body options would be nice (for every race), these big guys are not Dracthyr. They are Drakonids, so it would be rather strange to have them as an option for Dracthyr. That being said, they should work more on Dracthyr to make all armor pieces visible and not just for their visage form.

Depending on what option they have in mind. If they just want to give the same classes as for the rest, then it's just a copy/paste.

I wish Blizzard would try to differentiate the different races with a class that only they could have. When I read that they are now adding more... Yes, one can already see an Envoker Druid... Sigh.

Then they would be just a Dracthyr druid, not evoker druid. But they do have to separate their racials from evoker talents, as poster above mentioned.

On the other hand, this would also allow other races to becomes evokers. Make them manifest some magical wings and they could work!

You seem to want the implausible. While they could make a class that's exclusive for every race in the game, it'd take a hell of a lot more work than is worth it. This isn't an RTS like the og Warcraft where units were able to be vastly different because they had far fewer abilities.

If they have given a tank spec to Evoker i wouldn't have cared. But since they didn't. I'm glad they atleast getting the option trough another class. Imagine all the people that wanted to play a dragon tank (me included) on the dragon themed expansion and couldn't do it.

That Evoker didn't got a tank spec itself its not a bad thing. Not every new class needs to have one. However every new "race" should have access to all the available roles

My point's is not that the Evoker could have a tank or healer or DPS. But it would be great that a few races's got a special class, why does the Tauren (who is a nature ppl) have a Priest or a Paladin? Should the Evoker have a Paladin? The Evoker should be a special race with their own classes and development, so a dragon tank could be interesting.

Ok you lost me at the end. No other race should be allowed to be an evoker. Just like no other race from night and blood elf should be demon hunter. As for other classes, make dracthyr related classes and also if they want add regular classes too. I like devastation, but they lost me with augmentation. It’s more of a support without heal build. Which is cool, but we need another dps build. I personally would love to see elemental builds where you can choose what element you want and skills supporting that element.

Blizzard has buffed the Bronze you receive from bronze caches by 25% in MoP Remix to make up for today's Frog farm nerf.
In a hotfix released today, Blizzard has buffed bronze caches in MoP Remix to grant 25% more Bronze. Players can obtain various types of bronze caches by earning achievements, completing daily quests, or clearing the first random Heroic of the day.
Minor Bronze Cache now gives 200 250 Bronze. Lesser Bronze Cache now gives 400 500 Bronze. Bronze Cache now gives 600 750 Bronze. Greater Bronze Cache now gives 1,000 1,250 Bronze In addition to the buffs, Greater Bronze Cache can now drop from bosses on Normal Difficulty, further increasing the amount of Bronze you get from raids.

We're exploring spec diversity for each key level in Dragonflight Season 4!
Reddit user RaptorAnka pulled some interesting data from EU/US WoW Game Data APIs and created a visualization showing spec diversity in the ongoing season and how it changes with each key level.
The color intensity (high red for low diversity, low green for high diversity) indicates that certain specs are highly favored, leading to less diversity within those roles.

      DPS Specs
Augmentation Evoker is very dominant, especially at higher key levels, consistently appearing in the top spot. Shadow Priest has strong presence across all key levels, often appearing right after Augmentation Evoker. Fire Mage shows up frequently, mostly at higher key levels. Frost Mage also appears regularly, but not as much as Fire Mage. Tank Specs
Vengeance Demon Hunter is the top tank, maintaining near 100% representation. Blood Death Knight appears more frequently at mid-to-lower key levels as the Vengeande DH representation decreases slightly. We see some Guardian Druid presence at mid-levels. Healer Specs
Restoration Druid is very dominant, especially at higher key levels. Mistweaver Monk gains representation at mid-to-lower keys. Holy Paladin appears more frequently in the mid-to-low key levels. Source: Reddit

Horde Timerunners can purchase shirts in Silvermoon City during the Landfall Campaign in MoP Remix.
During the Landfall Campaign in MoP Remix, Horde Timerunners will find themselves in Silvermoon City with the opportunity to buy special BoE Horde shirts from Andra.

The exact location of the vendor is marked by the player arrow in the included screenshot by Nidocide.

If you're curious, attempting to leave the city will teleport your character to Jade Forest, as confirmed by the original poster (OP).
A player asked the OP if it's possible to mail these shirts cross-faction to another Timerunner. Unfortunately, the OP couldn't test this as they had progressed too far in the quest chain, making a return to Silvermoon City impossible.

Update: the farm has been nerfed a little! Lesser Charms no longer drop, making it less lucrative.

It didn't take long for players to find the absolute best way to farm in Remix: Mists of Pandaria! And no, we're not talking about the Tillers' farm!
The Timeless Isle and its frogs are back and are the focus of all the farming going on at the moment, as it seems to be the best way to get pretty much everything you want from the event! The frogs are elites and tend to hyper spawn (meaning they have an incredibly fast spawn rate when enough players kill them quickly enough), especially when farmed in groups. You can find the frogs around 65, 75.

They drop the event currency, Bronze, items you can disenchant into Bronze, Lesser Charms which you can use to increase your reputation with most Pandaria factions and get more Bronze, Timeless Coins for Timeless Isle rewards, and even Epic Threads for the Cloak of Infinite Potential! One player even reported getting 15,000k Bronze, 100,000 Timeless Coins, 3,000 Lesser Charms, and many gems is just an hour!
As the method has become more popular, actually getting to tag the mobs is the real trick here, or you need to find a time when there are fewer players there.
The community is split on the issue, as some are enjoying the very fast speed of rewards, but others aren't too happy with the very boring activity being the go-to if you want to get things done fast.
Here's a video going over the method, and showcasing some intense frog action!

So if you want tot try this out, good luck with the mob tagging and/or finding a less populated area!
