Old Raids in a WoD world

Went to firelands last night, and it was taking me longer to kill stuff than I did at 90... am I the only only one seeing this?

The amount of rating needed per % of crit, haste, etc. increases as you level. So it's definitely possible your dps in general is slightly lower right now than it was at level 90. I was doing around 16k at level 90 at 586 ilvl after 6.0, and now I'm right around 18k at 630ilvl. and I think the legacy scaling or whatever they're calling the buff is still going to be the same amount, roughly 10x damage. So it's definitely possible you are in fact doing a little bit less damage right now than you were before.

I'm actually having zero problems doing anything as a Warlock in old raids.  I kill every raid I used to do at 90 and 588 now at 100 and 634.  Don't knock the Abyssal for soloing old raids.  Meteor Strike can and will one shot every trash mob in ICC - put him on passive, pull everything, Meteor Strike, loot. 

 

LK, Yogg-Saron, and every other raid boss I used to farm is easier now and this will get exponentially easier as we accumulate gear.

Abyssal = win.

 

Soloing 25man heroic Cata raids is cake now. Good money too.

I am still having one hell of a time in heroic FL.   Trash is melting much faster.  However the bosses are giving me a hell of a time.   Shannox in particular.  I used to be able to burn him down.  You would think 10 levels and ~50 more ilevel it would be faceroll.

I think at this point you're just doing it wrong. At 609 the only boss I took damage from was Gatekeeper and even then it was a total of 29k after 3 min.

 

Spec destro, take Soul Leech, Sac Pact, GoSup, and Demonic Serv. Use the Abyssal and make sure his taunt and threat aura is turned on.

 

NOTHING from cata content should give you problems.

 

Btw for Shannox, when Rageface face rages on you command your Abyssal to slap Rageface a couple of times. Breaks you out super quick.

Well I should rephrase.   I'm killing everything but it's simply taking 30-60 seconds longer than normal.     Trash is absolutely melting just as you described.   It seems they added too much HP to the bosses themselves.

The buffed old content because it was a little TO easy. Personally Im sad that it is so easy now, I enjoyed a challenge.

 

I haven't seen any change in kill times since I was farming 10 normal and now farm 25 heroic.
