The War Within Season 1 adds new kiss/curse affixes and here is a spreadsheet with class specializations that will benefit from the kiss portion of each affix.

New Kiss/Curse Affixes in War Within Season 1

Blizzard recently unveiled the following kiss/curse affixes making its way to Mythic+ in Season 1.

  • Attuned - Non-boss enemies with mana inflict 20% more magic damage, but take 10% increased Nature damage and 30% increased damage from Bleed effects.
  • Focused - Non-boss enemies with mana have 30% increased Haste, but take 10% increased Frost and Fire damage.
  • Reckless - Non-boss enemies without mana ignore 20% armor with their attacks, but their armor is reduced by 30% and they take 10% increased Arcane damage.
  • Thorned - Non-boss enemies without mana inflict Physical damage to their attackers when attacked, but take 10% increased Holy and Shadow damage.

Which Classes/Specializations Benefit from the Kiss Portion the Most?

If you read the affix tooltips, it is obvious that some classes will benefit more from their effect. For instance, during Reckless weeks, you want to bring an Arcane Mage, or a Balance Druid, and so forth.

Denethar has created a useful spreadsheet covering which specs benefit from the affixes the most, you can find it here.

Yeah, these affixes are just plain bad. It'll only incentivize players to construct groups that can deal those damage types while everyone is forced to sit in the city going through pages of declined group requests

The graph is shite.

Devo has an advantage with a +nature?  Sorry the very little volcanic damage means nothing.
For some reason the Chaos damage Havoc has no advantage in Holy Shadow Week?
Classes like Windwalkers barely have any schooled abilities at all yet they are in Frost/Fire week? Its probably why they got talents to do aoe jade lightning...

I don't mind them. I think they add some variety and will be paired with mobs you have to change your strategy for in light of the affixes.

I don't really understand what people want from M+ affixes though. People complain about all of the affixes. The entire point of them is to make it harder so if it does that then it's doing its job.

Not really sure what people want. Someone give me some  "these don't suck" ideas so maybe I'll have a clue.

You just said it, and affix should make the dungeon harder, not make it exclusive for certain classes every other week. Bolstering, Sanguine, Volcano, Entangling, Bursting, they are all ok. imagine a week with Thorned, nobody is going to pick a warrior, thats how the majority of players think. So, as a developer their job is to think, not just came up with some lazy *filtered* affixes.

Bolstering, sanguine, and bursting are all constantly whined about and volcanic, entangling are non-affixes that do nothing.
