Mages received various class changes and set bonus tuning in the War Within Beta Build 55288.

Set Bonus Changes

  • Mage Arcane 11.0 Class Set 2pc - Arcane Blast and Arcane Explosion Barrage damage increased by 6%.
  • Mage Arcane 11.0 Class Set 4pc - Casting Arcane Blast or Arcane Explosion Barrage has a 10% 5% chance to make your next Arcane Barrage deal 10% 20% increased damage and generate 4 Arcane Charges.
  • Mage Frost 11.0 Class Set 2pc - Ice Lance damage increased by 8%. 5% and Fingers of Frost increases the damage of your next Frozen Orb by 10%, stacking up to 10 times.
  • Mage Frost 11.0 Class Set 4pc - Frozen Orb increases Damage dealt by Fingers of Frost enhanced Ice Lance's - Lances invoke a Frigid Pulse, dealing [ 30% of Spell Power ] Frost damage by 15% for 15 sec. to nearby targets. Damage reduced beyond 8 targets.

Latest Mage Changes

  • Spellfire Spheres - Spellfire Sphere Increases your spell damage by 2%. Stacks up to 3 times.. While you're out of combat, you will slowly conjure Spellfire Spheres over time Every 4 6 times you consume Clearcasting, cast Arcane Blast or Arcane Barrage, conjure a Spellfire Sphere
  • Intensifying Flame - While Ignite is on 3 or fewer enemies it flares up dealing an additional 25% 20% of its damage to affected targets.
  • Splintering Orbs - Arcane Orb damage is increased by 10%. Enemies The first enemy damaged by your Arcane Orb conjure conjures 2 4 Arcane Splinters up to 4.
  • Spellfrost Teachings - Direct damage from Arcane Splinters has a 2% chance to launch an reset the cooldown of Arcane Orb and increase all damage dealt by Arcane Orb by 20% for 10 sec.
  • Eureka - When a spell consumes Clearcasting, its damage is increased by 25% 10%.
  • Time Anomaly - At any moment, you have a chance to gain Arcane Surge for 6 4 sec, Clearcasting, or Time Warp for 6 sec.
  • Sparking Cinders - Living Bomb explosions have a 15% chance to increase the damage of your next Flamestrike or Pyroblast by 15%.
  • Pyroblast - Hurls an immense fiery boulder that causes [ 180.22% 172% of Spell Power ] Fire damage and an additional [ 18.6% of Spell Power ] Fire damage over 6 sec.
  • Glorious Incandescence - Consuming Burden of Power causes your next cast of Arcane Orb Barrage to grant 4 Arcane Charges and call down a storm of 4 Meteorites on its the first target target it damages. Each Meteorite's impact reduces the cooldown of Arcane Orb by 2.0 sec and generates an Arcane Charge.
  • Lit Fuse - Up to five enemies hit by this explosion also become a Living Bomb, but this effect cannot spread further.. Consuming Hot Streak has a 10% chance to grant you Lit Fuse Lit Fuse : Your next Fire Blast turns up to three nearby targets into a Living Bomb that explodes after 2 sec, dealing [ 60% 40% of Spell Power ] Fire damage to the target and reduced damage to all other enemies within 10 yds
  • Arcane Missiles - Only castable when you have Clearcasting Launches five waves of Arcane Missiles at the enemy over 2.5 sec, causing a total of [ 235.3% 255% of Spell Power ] Arcane damage.
  • Mana Addiction - Stacks up to 10 times. Multiple instances may overlap. Consuming Clearcasting Casting Arcane Blast or Arcane Barrage grants you 3.0% 1.0% Haste for 10 sec
  • Pyromaniac - Casting Pyroblast or Flamestrike while Hot Streak is active has an 8% chance to repeat the spell cast at 100% effectiveness. This effect counts as consuming Hot Streak.
  • Arcane Barrage - For each Arcane Charge, deals 30% additional damage, grants you 1.5% of your maximum mana, and hits 1 additional nearby targets for 40% of its damage Launches bolts of arcane energy at the enemy target, causing [ 106.62% 120% of Spell Power ] Arcane damage
  • Arcane Debilitation - Damaging a target with Arcane Missiles increases the damage they take from Arcane Missiles, Arcane Barrage, and Arcane Blast by 0.0%. Multiple instances may overlap.
  • Mass Barrier - Cast Prismatic Barrier on yourself and 4 nearby allies. - allies within 40 yds.
  • Memory of Al'ar - While under the effects of a casted Arcane Surge, you gain twice as many stacks of Mana Addiction. When your Arcane Phoenix expires, it empowers you, granting Arcane Soul for 3 sec, plus an additional 0.5 sec for each exceptional spell it had cast Arcane Soul : Arcane Barrage costs no mana, grants Clearcasting, - Clearcasting and generates 4 Arcane Charges.
  • Nether Munitions - When your Magi's Spark or your Improved Touch of the Magi detonates, it increases the damage all affected targets take from you by 6% 8% for 12 sec.
  • Codex of the Sunstriders - Summoning your Arcane Phoenix grants you a Spellfire Sphere. Over its duration, your Arcane Phoenix will consume each of your Spellfire Spheres to cast an exceptional spell. Upon consuming a Spellfire Sphere, your Arcane Phoenix will grant you Lingering Embers. Lingering Embers Increases your spell damage by 2%. Stacks up to 5 times.
  • Arcane Blast - Each Arcane Charge increases damage by 60% and mana cost by 100%, and reduces cast time by 8%. Generates 1 Arcane Charge. Blasts the target with energy, dealing [ 72.8% 80% of Spell Power ] Arcane damage
  • Frostfire Mastery - Your damaging Fire spells generate 1 stack of Fire Mastery and Frost spells generate 1 stack of Frost Mastery. Adding stacks does not refresh duration. Fire Mastery increases your haste by 1%, and Frost Mastery increases your Mastery by 1% for 12 14 sec, stacking up to 8 times each
  • Magi's Spark - Your Touch of the Magi now also conjures a spark, causing the damage from your next Arcane Barrage, Arcane Blast, and Arcane Missiles to echo for 25% 100% of their damage. Upon receiving damage from all three spells, the spark explodes, dealing [ 150% 400% of Spell Power ] Arcane damage to all nearby enemies.
  • Living Bomb - Other enemies hit by this explosion also become a Living Bomb, but this effect cannot spread further. The target becomes a Living Bomb, taking 0 Fire damage over 2 sec, and then exploding to deal an additional [ 60% 40% of Spell Power ] Fire damage to the target and reduced damage to all other enemies within 10 yds
  • Phoenix Flames - Always deals a critical strike. Hurls a Phoenix that deals [ 77.05% 70% of Spell Power ] Fire damage to the target and reduced damage to other nearby enemies
  • Lessons in Debilitation - Your Arcane Phoenix will Spellsteal when it is cast Supernova or Gravity Lapse shortly after being summoned and when it expires. will periodically Spellsteal buffs from nearby enemies.
  • Leydrinker - Consuming Nether Precision has a 10% 20% chance to make your next Arcane Blast or Arcane Barrage echo, repeating its damage at 25% 60% effectiveness to the primary target and up to four nearby enemies.
  • Illuminated Thoughts - Clearcasting has a 5% increased chance to proc and increases the damage of spells that consume it by 5%.
  • Permafrost Lances (New) - Frozen Orb increases Ice Lance's damage by 15% for 15 sec.

      Blizzard have posted the known issues list for the pre-patch that just launched. From Warbanks being disabled to class and UI problems, there's a lot to check out, so let's get to it.
      Known Issues (Source)
      The War Within Pre-expansion patch (11.0.0) is now live. Please read on for a list of known issues that we’re working on and further information about this update.
      11.0.0 KNOWN ISSUES

      Along with the launch of the pre-expansion patch (11.0.0), we’ve temporarily disabled the Warband Warbank while we work on a critical issue.
      This is a top priority and we intend to enable the Warbank as soon as possible.

      Classes
      Some specializations may encounter issues when loading a previously saved Talent loadout. This can be resolved with a character relog. Death Knight Unholy Death Knights can sometimes only receive one stack of Festermight for the first proc of Sudden Doom after casting Death Coil. Sudden Doom does not cause all Epidemics to critically strike. Festering Scythe does not gain benefit from Mastery: Dreadblade and does not grant stacks from Festering Wounds that burst on creature death. Raise Abomination’s Virulent Plague is only applied once. Priest Halo can pull creatures that are not in combat with the Priest. Discipline Rapture does not allow for spell-queuing casts immediately after Rapture. Shadow Idol of C’Thun is not functioning properly. Hunter Kindling Flare can sometimes fail to reveal stealthed targets when players leave its area of effect. Tendon Rip (Pet Ability) is not removed by movement-freeing abilities (like Blessing of Freedom). Marksmanship Serpent Sting & Wind Arrows from Legacy of the Windrunners are not affected by Marksmanship Mastery. Wailing Arrow is granted after 19 Wind Arrows, instead of 20. Killer Accuracy does not increase the critical strike damage of Kill Shot. Rapid Fire can be canceled by Kill Zone when it is procced from the Season 4 2-piece set. Beast Mastery Bloodshed can sometimes fail to apply Basilisk Collar. Survival Flanking Strike’s pet damage does not scale with primary or secondary stats. Exposed Flank can sometimes fail to duplicate the pet’s damage. Spearhead does not increase the critical strike chance of Kill Command. Mage Fire Fire’s Ire buff tooltip description indicates a 2.5% gain even if players have 2 points in the talent. Shaman Stone Bulwark Totem’s audio & animations are slightly too loud. Elemental Flash of Lightning can sometimes fail to reduce the cooldown of Stone Bulwark Totem and Primordial Wave. Elemental Blasts from Fusion of Elements can incorrectly consume Magma Chamber. Elemental Blasts from Fusion of Elements can trigger Storm Frenzy. Lava Beam does not benefit from Storm Frenzy. Thunderstrike Ward cannot trigger from Lava Beam. Restoration Spouting Spirits does not properly reduce healing beyond 5 targets. Spell queuing Lava Burst after a Healing Surge was incorrectly consuming Master of the Elements when Lava Burst is instant cast. Rogue Death From Above (PvP Talent) does not scale up to 7 combo points. Assassination Envenom’s buff persists for 2 seconds longer than the tooltip indicates. Ruptures applied via Indiscriminate Carnage will always apply 3 Serrated Bone Spikes, even with less than 3 spikes prepared. Subtlety Premeditation does not benefit Shiv, Shuriken Toss, or Shuriken Storm. Premeditation is consumed if players do not open with a combo point generating spell from stealth. Warrior Arms Bloodletting can cause Mortal Strike to apply Rend to targets above 35% health. Protection Spell Reflection has a small chance to not properly reflect spells. Dungeons and Raids
      Abilities may be missing form the Dungeon Journal while on Mythic+ difficulty. Quests
      Quest objectives for the Legion quest “To Be Prepared” may not be visible. Quest objectives for “Archives: The First Disk” may not be visible. User Interface
      For some players, upon login, action bars 2-8 are unintentionally disabled on all characters. Players in this state will have to manually re-enable any of your extra action bars through Options > Gameplay > Action Bars. Pre-existing keybinds and spells should display with the re-enabled action bars.
      New characters’ (level 10 and below) spells on the Action Bars may not save on logout. The same issue may cause some existing characters to have all spells wiped from their Action Bar on logout if they do not create a new loadout.
      Group Manager Pressing the reset button in Group Manager UI will cause a lua error. Holding down a used marker button makes the highlight disappear. The remove all button does not work for unit markers. Spellbook After the Spellbook goes from minimized to maximized, the Click Cast Settings frame will not function. Typing /reload in chat will resolve the issue. Professions The Concentrate button disappears when selecting and unselecting finishing reagents. The Patron tab does not honor a filter when switching to other tabs and back. The Recraft button is shown after completing an order. Finishing reagents can show increased recipe difficulty. The tracker is missing the green checkmark if the player hides all Dungeon and Bonus Objective Trackers beforehand. The Rewards Frame may disappear when accepting an order. The quality preview when using Concentration may be inaccurate. Quest and Map Right-clicking on a tracked World Objective may cause a Lua error. Gossip windows may display the incorrect icon for an in progress wrapper quest. Accepted Daily Quests may show the wrong icon. The Lore Book help tip may appear outside of the log frame. The Quest objective icon may still be present after disabling the quest objectives map filter. Clicking on the Great Vault world map icon may not open the UI. Warbands
      Entering the world on a character on a different realm may result in a blank character select screen. Some account-wide reputations may not show correctly across all characters.

      Find out how long the War Within pre-patch maintenance will last and when we expect servers to go up!
      UPDATE 3:  And another! 9 PM PDT is the new target.
      UPDATE 2: And another extension for another 2 hours, as servers are scheduled to be up at 7:00 PM PDT.
      UPDATE: Maintenance has been extended by 2 hours. Servers should be up by 5:00 PM PDT.

      While soaring the skies in the land of dragons, you'll want to ensure you complete the activities from around the Dragon Isles before their rewards are no longer available (or not as easily obtained) when The War Within™ arrives on 26 August.
      Dragonflight Season 4
      Raids
      Raids will no longer be "Awakened" when The War Within launches, and the following  rewards, achievements, and teleports tied to them will no longer be attainable: Voyaging Wilderling mount attained from Awakening the Dragonflight Raids. "Awakened Hero" title attained from Heroic: Awakening the Dragonflight Raids. Raid teleports Path of the Primal Prison, Path of the Bitter Legacy, and Path of the Scorching Dream earned from Mythic: Awakening the Dragonflight Raids. Season 4 Awakened Raid Achievements: Awakened Storms: Normal, Heroic, Mythic Awakened Shadows: Normal, Heroic, Mythic Awakened Flames: Normal, Heroic, Mythic After The War Within launches, the ability to obtain the Reins of Anu'relos, Flame's Guidance will become much more difficult. Learning the mount on any class also awards the Feather of the Blazing Somnowl and the Cinder of Companionship. Dungeons
      Mythic+ Season 4 ends, and the Font of Power will no longer appear in the Dragonflight Season 4 Dungeons. All Season 4 Achievements and rewards will no longer be attainable: Dragonflight Keystone Conqueror: Season 4 achievement and "the Draconic" title: Attain a Mythic+ Rating of 1500 during Dragonflight Season 4. Dragonflight Keystone Master: Season 4 achievement and its Infinite Armoredon mount reward: Attain a Mythic+ Rating of 2000 during Dragonflight Season 4. Dragonflight Keystone Hero: Season 4 achievement: Attain a Mythic+ Rating of 2500 during Dragonflight Season 4. Keystone Hero Dungeon Teleports:  The Azure Vault, Halls of Infusion, Neltharus, Algeth'ar Academy, Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr, Brackenhide Hollow, Ruby Life Pools, and The Nokhud Offensive. Complete WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria Before 19 August
      Relive epic adventures and experience the wonders of Pandaria anew. World of Warcraft Remix: Mists of Pandaria ends on August 19, so be sure to get your Remix rewards before they are whisked away into the mists.
      Once WoW Remix ends, characters will be converted to regular characters, and all Remix-specific items and perks will be removed. However, those characters will still be playable in The War Within Pre-Expansion and beyond.

      Radiant Echoes Pre-Expansion Event Ends 27 August
      Confront the memories of Azeroth during the new Radiant Echoes event and collect Residual Memories to purchase new items to add to your Warband collection.
      When: 31 July – 27 August
      Where: Dalaran (hub), Dragonblight, Dustwallow Marsh, and Searing Gorge
      Currency: Residual Memories – Half-forgotten memories can be glimpsed in the light, playing across this iridescent powder.
      Levels: 10-70
      Players with and without The War Within can participate in this event. Learn more about this event in our overview article.
      The War Within goes live on August 26 at 23:00 BST globally. Players who have purchased the Epic Edition of The War Within can participate in Early Access beginning 22 August.

      A new camera feature in the War Within pre-patch prevents the camera from jumping around when your character moves in front of an object. Check it out!
      To enable or disable this feature, use the following console command:
      /console cameraIndirectVisibility [0,1]
      To play around with the sensitivity, use this command:
      /console cameraIndirectOffset [0, 10.0]
