Zenless Zone Zero's Version 2.1 update is finally live, and with it comes a breath of sweet sea air: Ukinami Yuzuha!
She has officially joined the roster! While she is already a favorite for many players, her performance in combat goes far beyond just charm. In fact, she has caused a major shift in our Tier List.
Both new players and experienced Proxies need to pick the right Agents for their squads. In ZZZ, tier lists are not just about who has the biggest numbers. Team synergy, combat flow, and your personal playstyle all matter. A good combo can make even A-rank Agents stand out, while S-rank ones might flop without the right setup.
Yuzuha is more than a pretty face with an umbrella. She is one of the strongest Supports we have seen so far, especially if you are building around Anomaly DPS characters.

New and Returning Signal Searches Free Outfits and Limited-Time Store Discounts New Stories New Events Quality of Life Optimizations How Long is Zenless Zone Zero Maintenance?
Zenless Zone Zero's Version 2.1 maintenance begins July 16th at 06:00 (UTC+8) and is estimated to take 5 hours.
Player Compensation (Free Polychromes!)
Players will receive 300 Polychromes as maintenance compensation after Version 2.1 goes live. You are eligible if you have reached Inter-Knot Level 4 before the maintenance start time.
Additional Polychromes may be awarded for any post-launch bug fixes.
All compensation will be delivered via in-game mail. You must accept the rewards before the end of Version 2.1.
Phase 1 New Agents and W-Engines
In Version 2.1 Phase 1, the following Agents are available from July 15th to August 6th, 2025 at 11:59:00 (Server Time):
Ukinami Yuzuha (NEW!) Hoshimi Miyabi (RERUN) Piper Wheel Billy Kid In addition, the following W-Engines are available at the same time:

Phase 2 New Agents and W-Engines
In Version 2.1 Phase 2, the following Agents are expected to be available from August 6th to September 3rd, 2025 at 14:59:00 (Server Time):
Alice Thymefield (NEW!) Tsukishiro Yanagi (RERUN) Soukaku Seth Lowell In addition, the following W-Engines are expected to be available at the same time:
Practiced Perfection (NEW!) Timeweaver (RERUN) Bashful Demon Peacekeeper - Specialized New Bangboo: Miss Esme
You can also Signal Search the new Bangboo Miss Esme from the Bangboo Channel using Boopons! This is the specialized Bangboo for the new faction Spook Shack, which will be available after the Version 2.1 update.
New Outfits and Store Update
The two paid outfits releasing in Version 2.1 are Yuzuha's "Tanuki in Broad Daylight" and Alice's "Sea of Thyme"! You can buy these outfits in advance, even if you don't own the Agents, before the discount expires.
These outfits will be on limited-time discount until September 3rd for 1,350 Monochromes each! After Version 2.1 ends, you can still obtain the outfits at the regular price of 1,680 Monochromes each.
You can also obtain two new outfits for our beloved Proxies Wise and Belle! Wise's "Peaceful Waves" and Belle's "Summer Skies" are free to obtain from completing event missions in Tales of Midsummer Dreams.

After completing the Version 2.1 main story update, you can also enjoy the Partner Archive stories for Yuzuha and Alice! Here, players can try out the new Spook Shack Agents and see if they're worth pulling for!

Yuzuha's "Wonderland Trickery" EP Video Is a Sweet Love Letter to Zenless Zone Zero Fans!
Just ahead of the launch of Zenless Zone Zero's Version 2.1 update, HoYoverse has released a new music video: "Ukinami Yuzuha EP - Wonderland Trickery", featuring the stylish and mysterious support agent Yuzuha.
The video is not just a cool track, it is a full-on tribute to the ZZZ community. Fans who have been around since launch will catch tons of clever references to nearly every major character and faction, all framed through Yuzuha's chaotic lens. With cool visuals, transitions, and the typical creativity that ZZZ is known for, it feels like a celebration of everything the game has become over the past year. Even if you do not plan to pull for Yuzuha, it is a must-watch.
New Limited-Time Banners Arrive with Version 2.1
Alongside the music video, HoYoverse released the information for Version 2.1 limited-time Signal Search events. Here is a breakdown of what to expect starting tomorrow:
"Whispered Tales" - Yuzuha Banner S-Rank Agent: Yuzuha (Support - Physical) A-Rank Agents: Piper (Anomaly - Physical) Billy (Attack - Physical) This is Yuzuha's first banner, so if you are looking to add her cool and supportive personality to your squad, now is the time. "Honed Blade of Reflection" - Miyabi Rerun S-Rank Agent: Hoshimi Miyabi (Anomaly - Frost) A-Rank Agents: Piper, Billy (same as above) This rerun brings back the frost-powered Anomaly queen, Miyabi, for those who missed her last time. Yuzuha is a perfect support for her. "Dissonant Sonata" - Yuzuha's W-Engine Banner Boosted W-Engines: S-Rank W-Engine: Metanukimorphosis (Support) A-Rank W-Engines: Roaring Ride (Anomaly), Starlight Engine Replica (Attack) "Vibrant Resonance" - Miyabi's W-Engine Rerun Boosted W-Engines: S-Rank W-Engine: Hailstorm Shrine (Anomaly) A-Rank W-Engines: Roaring Ride, Starlight Engine Replica All limited S-Rank units and W-Engines in these banners are exclusive and will not be added to the permanent "Star-Studded Cast" pool.
Final Callback - Audition Stage Trial Event
Want to test out these characters before you pull? The Final Callback event allows players to try out:
Yuzuha (Support - Physical) Hoshimi Miyabi (Anomaly - Frost) Piper (Anomaly - Physical) Billy (Attack - Physical) Clear their test stages once to claim free rewards! This trial content is available after the Version 2.1 update until August 6. To access it, you will need to be Inter-Knot Level 8 and have unlocked the Event feature during the Prologue Intermission.
Don't Forget About Miss Esme!
Version 2.1 also introduces Miss Esme, a new Bangboo from the Spook Shack faction!

Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.1 "The Impending Crash of Waves" is now ready for pre-download ahead of the July 16 update. File sizes, maintenance times, and update information here!
HoYoverse has officially opened pre-download for Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.1, titled "The Impending Crash of Waves." Proxies can now download update files in advance to speed up access once maintenance ends later this week.
Key Dates & Times
Pre-Download Period: July 14 at 12:00 (UTC+8) - July 16 at 05:50 (UTC+8) Version Update Time: Starts July 16 at 06:00 (UTC+8) Estimated duration: 5 hours During the update window, the game servers will be offline, and players won't be able to log in.
Pre-Download File Sizes
PC: ~8 GB Mobile (Android/iOS): ~5 GB PS5: ~14 GB Xbox: ~20 GB keep in mind that the total size may vary depending on installed voice packs.
How to Pre-Download
PC: Via HoYoPlay Launcher → Click the "Pre-Download" icon beside "Start Game." You can keep playing during the download. Android / iOS: Tap the "Pre-Download Resources" icon on the game's main screen. You cannot play while downloading on mobile. PS5: If storage space allows, the console will begin the download automatically shortly after launching the game. You can continue playing. Once maintenance begins, here is how to update manually:
