Request: Frost DPS help

Got no DPS logs unfortunately.

 

My burst DPS seems fair, can burst around 50K on Skada if I use everything correctly

 

But my steady DPS feels really low and I have struggled to get it up (Between 15-17.5K based on Butcher fight) pushing 18K on the rare occasion based on procs. Always using double potions, greater flasks, Multistrike food

 

Opener -

Pre-pot>Pre-cast frostbolt > MI/Icy Veins >  Orb > PC > FB on PC > use all procs > Water Jet+2x FrostBolt > FB boss > Procs

 

Filler rotation - 

Frost Bolt until procs > If 2 ice lance procs = FB + Procs > Waiting for Jet/Orb to re-use as stated in opener

 

Any more information I should add please say

Without combatlogs we can't tell too much.. :)

 

But 18k seems quite average to me, could be improved, indeed, but it's not terrible.

How do I record combat logs? Got a raid tonight so can post some tonight/tomorrow after it

/combatlog in game before raid starts.

then run over to warcraftlogs.com and install a client which uploads the log to the site. done in 5 mins!

also remember to /combatlog when raid ends 

and go on options - system - network and toggle ON the advanced combat logging


I see that you have Ice nova on ur talent build. But i dont see you use it on the rotation you showed us before. 

Use ur first two ice novas on the prismatic crystal. then you use ice nova once more while waiting for the next PC cooldown. Then youll have 2 IN's for that crystal as well. Ice nova is the highest damage spell we got so would be dumb not to use it :)
