Bombonate 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2014 Hello there, I have been following your guide about stats prio for MM spec, but lately i am kind of confused. Is it possible for you to guide me through stats selection? some guides say ms>crit and some others 35% crit >ms. Niix has updated the hunter all inclusive section for mm spec with MS> 43% crit. That's why i'm here asking for enlightment. Many people are depended on this guide, so please, give us a path to follow Thank you.
Pestenoire 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2014 As i understood, it is 38% crit unbuffed. That's because with Careful Aim passive and 5% raid crit buff we get 103% crit on Boss which equals 100%.This was what i was reading these days on the forum here. Niix 169 Report post Posted December 22, 2014 I switched it to MS > Crit because in my absence Azor came up with a lot of new information that puts it ahead. I still encourage everyone to sim their own character instead of relying on a general guideline. I've added a tutorial at the top of the Inclusive Guide. I still encourage everyone to sim their own character instead of relying on a general guideline. I've added a tutorial at the top of the Inclusive Guide. To elaborate on this, SV is better than MM on a lot of the fights, Kargath Stands, Twins, Imperator, Tectus and Brackenspore simply because of multi-dotting with Serpent Sting now. So the weights are kindof there assuming you'll be swapping specs a lot.
Pestenoire 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2014 I happen to read it know of the changes. But i was wondering how can we stack so much multistrike with the equip available now? I was able to get to 35% crit buffed, but my multistrike is just 10% buffed. Should we keep it like this until new equipment is available or should we try to sim how for example we would do with enchants, gems etc. of multistrike instead of crit?Talking about MM right now. I would say the generalized weights lean more towards MS if you have a decent amount of crit. I would still aim for 38% unbuffed ideally. So get as much crit and MS as you can, but don't worry about prioritizing either.

Negativity 0 Report post Posted December 25, 2014 Hope this gets a response even tho im just tacking onto a related issue and not making a different thread but http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/proudmoore/Oghrim/advanced I keep seeing stuff about reaching a crit threshold before swapping to multistrike and all my enchants have been crit towards that purpose. Not even sure what the crit threshold is, I've heard 32% 35% and 38% so idek whats the correct number here. On top of that, I ran my sim using the guidelines and multistrike is .2~ higher than crit as a statweight for me. Anyone have any knowledge about whether or not this is only the case because I've been gearing and enchanting for crit? i don't want to swap my enchants to multistrike and find out the statweight is just gonna swing the other way cuz I crossed whatever crit threshold to make multistrike better even though my unbuffed crit is only 29.43%. Just looking for feedback or recommendations from people who are more knowledgeable about using simcraft since Im a beginner.

Just looking for feedback or recommendations from people who are more knowledgeable about using simcraft since Im a beginner. The easiest way to use find out is just sim yourself with crit enchants, then with multistrike enchants, and see which is better. 1. Import your gear into simcraft. 2. First line of the simcraft profile is its name, by default "Oghrim_Active". Make it "crit_enchants". 3. Your gear will be listed at the bottom of the simcraft profile. 4. At the very bottom of the simcraft profile, create a new line: copy=multistrike_enchants Then, below that line copy all your gear: head=hood_of_dispassionate_execution,id=113608,bonus_id=566 neck=flechetteriddled_chain,id=113647,bonus_id=563,gems=50crit,enchant=40crit shoulders=undying_spaulders,id=114519,bonus_id=84 back=flawless_crystaledged_bladecloak,id=116969,enchant=gift_of_critical_strike chest=mosswoven_mailshirt,id=113654,bonus_id=560/563,gems=50crit tabard=tushui_tabard,id=83079 wrists=bracer_of_amputation,id=116030,bonus_id=42/560 hands=grips_of_vicious_mauling,id=113593 waist=rockhide_links,id=109835,bonus_id=524 legs=longshot_legguards,id=118976,bonus_id=21 feet=treads_of_sand_and_blood,id=113595 finger1=spellsink_signet,id=113843,enchant=50crit finger2=timeless_solium_band_of_the_assassin,id=118297,enchant=50crit trinket1=grandiose_plans,id=114549,bonus_id=40 trinket2=scales_of_doom,id=113612 main_hand=shredirons_shredder,id=109168,bonus_id=84/531/559,enchant=megawatt_filament Now manually change all gems and enchants to multistrike. Just basically write "mult" instead of "crit". Don't forget the weapon enchant as well. The result will look like this: head=hood_of_dispassionate_execution,id=113608,bonus_id=566 neck=flechetteriddled_chain,id=113647,bonus_id=563,gems=50mult,enchant=40mult shoulders=undying_spaulders,id=114519,bonus_id=84 back=flawless_crystaledged_bladecloak,id=116969,enchant=gift_of_multistrike chest=mosswoven_mailshirt,id=113654,bonus_id=560/563,gems=50mult tabard=tushui_tabard,id=83079 wrists=bracer_of_amputation,id=116030,bonus_id=42/560 hands=grips_of_vicious_mauling,id=113593 waist=rockhide_links,id=109835,bonus_id=524 legs=longshot_legguards,id=118976,bonus_id=21 feet=treads_of_sand_and_blood,id=113595 finger1=spellsink_signet,id=113843,enchant=50mult finger2=timeless_solium_band_of_the_assassin,id=118297,enchant=50mult trinket1=grandiose_plans,id=114549,bonus_id=40 trinket2=scales_of_doom,id=113612 main_hand=shredirons_shredder,id=109168,bonus_id=84/531/559,enchant=oglethorpes_missile_splitter This is what you will get. Pretty much no difference. This copy-style of simming is extremely useful to compare individual gear pieces to each other as well. Fashizl 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2015 I believe people are prioritizing multistrike for swapping to SV in some fights.
Azortharion 60 Report post Posted January 10, 2015 They're prioritizing Multistrike because the stats are for all intents and purposes completely equal meaning there's 0 reason to go Crit.
Minigun 1 Report post Posted January 10, 2015 I believe people are prioritizing multistrike for swapping to SV in some fights. Yup. I have started to do the same with versatility & crit for when I swap to MM.
