You pick ONE hero spec (Pack Leader or Dark Ranger for BM), and you get 10 points total at max level to spend in that one tree. The guide shows both trees fully unlocked as a reference so you can see all the options, but you're right that in practice you only fill one. For BM in Midnight Season 1: Pack Leader is the go-to for M+ and general PvE. The pet cleave and Beast Cleave extensions are too good for dungeon content. Key picks: - Vicious Hunt (mandatory -- this is your biggest AoE gain) - Pack Coordination - Den Recovery for survivability in higher keys Dark Ranger pulls ahead slightly in pure single target / raid boss fights, but the difference is small enough that most people just run Pack Leader for everything. If the guide is showing both trees simultaneously with all 20 nodes lit up, that's just a display thing -- you'll notice it says "choose one" at the top of the hero talent section. Confusing UI for sure, Blizzard could've done that better. What spec are you running? If you're doing M+ I can give you the exact 10-point path.
