Fury warr trying Arms on twins

5 posts in this topic

Guild is working on Twins and they expect big things from me but so far haven't been able to deliver. Can somebody sort of spell out for me what an Arms warrior does on this specific fight? I could post a log but basically whatever the guide said to do I did and still I was only doing 23-24 k going into execute phase (15% is our best attempt). I can say I wasn't using Sudden Death and I think that was probably a mistake.

I imagine they will want a log of the fight, and maybe some more information like a character profile. Obviously this is mythic if 23-24k is bad.

It depends a lot on the strat you're using. Depending on how much you keep them stacked up, 24k is either just OK, or really bad.

Make sure you're using TfB, since as long as you can keep rend active on both bosses, the rage generation from it will outweigh SD. Other than that it's your standard cleave fight, keep Sweeping Strikes up as long as both bosses are stacked and follow your normal arms rotation.

Id rather look at something like this https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/WK2d3CXGzN7A9Tkc#fight=13&type=summary&source=2

660 ilvl Arms warrior, about what I am, 33k dps from a month ago or so. If I could do 30k dps on this fight the guildies would be very pleased.  It looks like he went Charge > SS > Rend 2x > Ravager > Recklessness > CS > MS > BS

From the logs Ive looked at the recurring theme is CS > MS > BS

Is it important to keep those lined up throughout the fight? Does MS need to always follow CS?

MS is, other than Execute, your hardest hitting ability. Using it on CD (and especially just after CS) should be a priority.

Honestly, the biggest factor on how good Arms will do on this fight is how often the bosses are kept together. As I said in my previous post, assuming the bosses are kept together most of the time, if you're following the rotation you've outlined, you should push at the very least in the upper 20s, but if they're kept far apart for long periods of time, your DPS can easily drop to mid 20s.

My DPS is really comically low. These logs are old and I hadn't read the compendium at the time, but even after doing that I can't stay above like 160k on target dummies. Simcraft is telling me I should be pushing close to 300k, and the people in the Warrior discord tell me that I should be able to get pretty close to those numbers.

So can someone just come meet me in Skyhold and help me out or something? I've read about the rotation, and had people tell me it, but I just need someone to like see what I'm doing wrong or something.

I'm Boogal on Emerald Dream US, horde side. Send me a whisper or reply here I guess.

Heralds of Strife is more than just a raiding guild on World of Warcraft, we are friends who are looking to have fun and get to know each other in our free time. We use a Loot Council with defined parameters. This is broken down into several categories:
Attendance Performance Attitude Biggest Upgrade Recent Wins
We publicly record attendance and items received (via RCLootCouncil). Our devoted, down-to-earth leadership has the experience and knowledge needed to ensure upgrades are given to the proper players for progression while maintaining a fair, friendly, and entertaining guild atmosphere.

      Trial Period

Heralds of Strife is a raiding guild primarily. As such, we do have a trial period for new recruits. With that being said, new raiders will have a 2 week trial period. This trial period begins at the start of the first raid upon joining, and ends on the last raid of the 2nd week.
The three core principles expected of trials:

      Reliability Positivity Adaptability
Reliability: We expect our trial raiders to show up for raids, on time, and prepared with the basic necessities to do the raid efficiently. We also expect our trials to have some knowledge on encounters, but we are more than willing to help teach and nurture our raiders. Make a commitment with us and we will do our very best to make sure that you're taken care of. We want to get to know you, as you're not just numbers on our spreadsheet. Here in Heralds of Strife,YOU matter.

Positivity: We encourage our trial raiders, and our members, in general, to have a positive attitude, ranging from casual conversation to raid progression. There will be nights where progression might seem rough, but, pushing forward with a positive mindset are one of the keys to success. C'mon team, we can do this!

Adaptability: Our leadership takes the opportunity to analyze our performance logs after each raid night, offering those who are lagging behind some constructive assistance in the long-term goal of improving the player. Our team is only as strong as the player next to us, so we want to work together to overcome any obstacle that may be hindering our performance. Our motto is "iron sharpens iron".

http://i.imgur.com/4y6HcUV.png[/img]     Valiant Vengeance was created about 7 years ago by the same leadership that is held today. We are a progression minded semi-hardcore guild who has raided since WoTLK. Each raid tier we have gotten progressively better at our pace and we plan to be a competing guild in Legion. VV raids 3 nights a week for a total of 9 hours a week.   Progression: 7/7M EN (Realm First) 2/3M ToV 9/10H NH   Raid Times: 6-9PM Pacific Raid Days Tues, Thurs, and Sun Loot System: EPGP Voice Comm: Discord   Current Recruitment Needs:   Tank Will make considerations 1 RDPS of any class . 1 Strong healer with a dps off spec as a bonus All applications regardless of role and spec will be considered if you can make our raid times and perform to our standards.   Our guild is comprised of members who have been with us for quite awhile, over several raid tiers and and expansions. We are pretty close knit and are wishing to add to the team. Just because we are progression minded and serious about raiding does not mean we do not have fun and just be friends. VV is a strictly no drama guild and any of those who wish to start it are immediately removed. If you are seeking a friendly, fun guild to raid with and be competitive with in Legion, VV is the place for you!   For any questions please add me on Btag or apply on our Guildsite. <The Sleeping Knights> (Grizzly Hills/Lothar)is a new casual Alliance guild of experienced players who have been gaming together since 1999. We want to progress through content with mature players. We typically group up Friday and Saturday evenings and sometimes Sundays during the day and/or evening EST. We’re looking to fill raid slots to for at least three dps, one back up tank, but definitely anyone is welcome. We have completed 7/7 EN Normal. Also working toward Nighthold. We currently are progressing through mythic+7, and welcome more to join. We have experienced raid leaders and look forward to progressing through content. PVP players and alts are definitely welcome too. We use Discord for chat.
