Old Brews & New Friends Event Guide for Honkai: Star Rail

Similar to a previous event, Vignettes in a Cup, players must create drinks for customers based off given recipes. In this event, you will have a total of five customers to serve, in addition to Siobhan (who you served in the tutorial).

If you are not familiar with the drinksmithing process, consult the following steps below:

1. Select a Glass Type
2. Select Ice Quantity
3. Select Ingredients based on the Given Recipe
4. Select a Decoration
5. Serve the Drink

To begin drinksmithing, you will need to select a Glass Type based on what the customer orders. They may request a specific size, which you can reference in the top-left corner of the screen.

If no size is preferred, players are suggested to pick either Large or Extra Large. Both Glass Types allow players to add more ingredients, and for three color layer orders, it may prove easier to combine with more ingredient slots available.

While not relevant to this event, players can select various ice quantities to add to the order. All of the event orders do not have an ice requirement, so players are free to pick whichever quantity they desire. The ice quantity will not affect the drink formula or results.

When customers request a drink, it will come with contexual clues for how much of a certain flavour they want. For example, an "extremely mellow" flavour suggests the drink recipe has a Mellow Attribute rating of ≤-2. As such, you will need to combine various ingredients to achieve this flavour rating.

Each flavour attribute rating has a range from ≤-2 to ≥2. If the rating is equal to 0, the flavour is not present in the recipe. You can consult the current flavours in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

Once the glass is full, the drink will be complete. You can choose to "clear all" if the recipe is incorrect, or if you want to try again. You can also stir the drink to change its color. Stirring will combine all color layers into one, so be careful.

For additional help with making recipes, consult the solutions provided. There is also a summary table for all the limited-time recipes in the "Extra Hours" section.

While not relevant to this event, players can select one of many decorations to add to the order. All of the event orders do not have a decoration requirement, so players are free to pick whichever they desire, or not at all. The decoration will not affect the drink formula or results.

Once the drink is ready, you can select to serve it to your customer. After serving the customer their first drink, you can opt to serve them again before the next customer arrives. To do this, you will need to find the NPC located near the Temporary Bar.

If you happen to forget or miss the customer, you can continue serving until "Extra Hours" open. During this time, players can remix recipes or serve additional drinks to their customers. For more information, consult the Extra Hours section.

Your final customer for the event is Kafka. She will let you customize a drink of your own, so feel free to design your very own Trailblaze Mix. It can have any glass type, ice, flavour attribute profile, and decoration.

After you have created your own Trailblaze Mix, you can begin the quest to unlock Extra Hours.

After completing all the basic orders for customers, you can speak with "Shush" to proceed into Extra Hours mode. The NPC is located on the opposite side from the Temporary Bar.

In Extra Hours, you can complete any remaining drink orders for customers, or serve them a third drink recipe from another customer. The available drink options will appear when inviting a customer to return to the bar.
