Simulated Universe is a Weekly Game Mode in Honkai: Star Rail. This guide covers the various Expansion Modules and features, how to unlock Simulated Universe, and the rewards you can obtain from it!

Simulated Universe in Honkai: Star Rail

Simulated Universe is one of the weekly game modes in Honkai: Star Rail. Players can challenge Domains, enjoy its Expansion Module game modes, complete the Simulated Universe Index, and obtain Weekly Points for rewards. This, along with Divergent Universe, are the only ways to get Planary Ornament sets, which are used for building best-in-slots.

Whenever players complete a run of Simulated Universe or its various game modes, you will obtain a number of weekly Simulated Universe Points. These are used to obtain the recurring rewards from Simulated Universe. The points reset every Monday at 04:00:00 (server time).

How to Unlock Simulated Universe?

In order to unlock the Closed Beta of Simulated Universe, you need to progress through the Trailblaze Mission: Lingering Shadows located at Herta Space Station. After finding Herta in Herta's Office, you must complete the following missions in order:

  1. Trailblaze Mission: Simulated Universe: First Closed Beta
  2. Adventure Mission: Simulated Universe: Second Closed Beta

Both Closed Beta missions must be completed before you can begin to access Simulated Universe and its various game modes.

There are many simulated universe game modes available in Honkai: Star Rail. Click the buttons below to briefly read about each mode.

3.1.

How to Unlock Simulated Universe

Simulated Universe: Official Edition

After playing through the Closed Beta missions, you must complete the Trailblaze Mission: Long Wait for the Blade's Edge in Jarilo-VI. This will give you access to the Official Version of Simulated Universe.

Once you have access to the Official Version, you can challenge Domains in different Simulated Universe worlds, purchase from Herta's Store, and receive Simulated Universe weekly point rewards. For more information on how to unlock the other game modes, see their relevant sections.

You can access Simulated Universe at Herta's Office in Herta Space Station, or through the Interastral Peace Guide menu.

How to Unlock Divergent Universe

Divergent Universe: Protean Hero

Divergent Universe has gone through the following expansions, which change gameplay and lore in a few ways:

  • The Human Comedy (Based on Penacony, Unavailable)
  • Protean Hero (Based on Amphoreus, Current Expansion)

To unlock Divergent Universe, you need to complete the Trailblaze Mission: No Time for Me, My Friend in Jarilo-VI. In addition, you also need to accept the Adventure Mission: Good Stuff in Herta Space Station and clear World 3 of Simulated Universe. This will unlock Finality's Vision, which allows you to experience the game mode early.

The Adventure Mission: Good Stuff will appear as a message from Himeko after completing the Trailblaze Mission. You are also recommended to complete the Trailblaze Mission: Stranger in a Strange Land in Penacony before beginning Divergent Universe.

Please note, you may encounter story spoilers with Finality's Vision, so it is highly recommended to only do so if you will not complete the game mode before the limited-time Synchronicity Level and Stable Computing Array rewards expire.

Divergent Universe on the Map

You can access Divergent Universe on F1 at The Radiant Feldspar in Penacony, or through the Interastral Peace Guide menu. If you have completed the Adventure Mission: Cloud-Bound Hearts in Penacony, the airship and its map location may be renamed to any of the following:

  • The Trailblaze's Stern
  • The Tatalov
  • The Soaring Clock Hand

Special Character Abilities

In Simulated Universe or Divergent Universe, certain characters may have special ability effects while they are present in the team or exploration.

Character Ability Name and Type Special Effect
Topaz & Numby [Technique] Explicit Subsidy After using her Technique and defeating enemies in Simulated Universe or Divergent Universe, additionally receive a small amount of Cosmic Fragments with a small chance to obtain 1 random Curio.
The Herta [Technique] Vibe Checker After entering battle by using Technique in Simulated Universe or Divergent Universe, at the start of each wave, deals True DMG to enemy targets lower than Elite-level by an amount equal to 99% of the targets' Max HP, and deals True DMG to enemy targets at Elite-level and above by an amount equal to 30% of the targets' Max HP.
Ruan Mei [Technique] Silken Serenade

In Simulated Universe or Divergent Universe, when Ruan Mei has Silken Serenade, the team actively attacking enemies will always be regarded as attacking their Weakness to enter battle, and this attack can reduce all enemies' Toughness regardless of Weakness types.

For every Blessing in possession (up to a max of 20 Blessings will be taken into account), additionally increases the Toughness Reduction of this attack by 100%.

Cipher [Technique] Puss in Boots

When approaching an enemy in the overworld/Simulated Universe/Divergent Universe, can immediately gain a random Consumable.

Consumables can be gained this way for up to 50 time(s) in each Earth day.

Simulated Universe Index

Simulated Universe Index

As players continue to challenge Simulated Universe's various worlds and Domains, you will come across simulated Aeons and many Blessings, Curios, and Occurrence events. To keep track of what you have experienced or obtained previously, you can use the Simulated Universe Index.

By completing the different categories of Simulated Universe Index, players can obtain Stellar Jades whenever they reach a Blessing completion milestone and obtain a new Curio or Occurrence event.

The Index is something each game mode has, and it is referred to by various names. In addition, a game mode may have its own unique index categories, or things to keep track of. For more information, consult the various game modes below.

Simulated Universe Rewards

There are a variety of different rewards you can get from Simulated Universe. This includes one-time rewards, achievements, and weekly rewards. For detailed information, navigate to the sections below:

Planar Ornament Sets

Planar Ornament Sets

To complete your character builds and best-in-slots, you will need Planar Ornaments. There are two pieces to every set, a Planar Sphere and Link Rope. These sets are only available through Simulated Universe and Divergent Universe game modes.

The Planar Ornament sets you can obtain will vary depending on which world you challenge, or which game mode you play. In addition, they are also randomized upon obtaining, so you may not get the set or piece you want.

Herta Bond Exchanges in the Herta Store

If you complete Simulated Universe's worlds for the first-time on the lowest difficulty, you can obtain Herta Bonds, which are the exchange currency for rewards from Herta's Store and Genius's Treasure. One Herta Bond is also available from accumulating Simulated Universe Points every week.

Free Herta and Eidolons

By completing Simulated Universe and its worlds in the Official Edition, you can obtain Herta and her Eidolons. You can obtain copies of Herta from:

  1. Trailblaze Mission: Simulated Universe: First Closed Beta
  2. Simulated Universe World 2: First-Time Clearance Reward
  3. Simulated Universe World 4: [Difficulty I] First-Time Clearance Reward
  4. Simulated Universe World 6: [Difficulty I] First-Time Clearance Reward
  5. Simulated Universe World 7: [Difficulty I] First-Time Clearance Reward
  6. Simulated Universe World 9: [Difficulty I] First-Time Clearance Reward

You can also obtain Herta from all Warps using Star Rail Passes and Star Rail Special Passes.

Weekly Simulated Universe Point Rewards

The amount of Simulated Universe Points you get per run changes depending on the challenge difficulty. In addition, the amount of points you need to maximize on weekly rewards also changes depending on your current Equilibrium Level, as follows:
