Trailblaze Power Guide for Honkai: Star Rail

Trailblaze Power

Trailblaze Power is the energy system in Honkai: Star Rail. If you are not familiar with gacha games, many of them have a system in place to regulate a player's play time. Trailblaze Power can regenerate over time, and you can exchange them for useful rewards.

What is Trailblaze Power Used for?

The primary use for Trailblaze Power is to obtain upgrade materials, relics, and planar ornaments for characters. Spending Trailblaze Power also levels up your Trailblaze Level.

2.1.

Upgrades in Survival Index

Survival Index

To make characters stronger, they need to ascend their level and Light Cone; upgrade Traces; and obtain strong relics and planary ornaments. However, power-ups do not come for free: many various materials come from completing Trailblaze Power activities found in the Survival Index.

Characters can obtain upgrades using Trailblaze Power from the following activities:

Resource Activity Type Trailblaze Power Cost
  • Character EXP Materials
  • Light Cone EXP Materials
  • Credits
  • Regional Basic Drops*
Calyx (Golden) 10 Trailblaze Power
Trace/Light Cone Ascension Materials Calyx (Crimson) 10 Trailblaze Power
Character Ascension Materials Stagnant Shadow 30 Trailblaze Power
Relics Cavern of Corrosion 40 Trailblaze Power
Planar Ornaments Simulated Universe or Ornament Extraction 40 Trailblaze Power, or 1 Immersifier*
Advanced Trace Materials/Light Cones Echo of War 30 Trailblaze Power, up to 3 times per week

Please Note: You can also obtain regional basic drops for free from fighting enemies outside in the open world.

To know what upgrades to get with your Trailblaze Power, you can also set up a Build Target in the Survival Index. This way, you can efficiently farm materials and relics for the chosen character.

2.2.

Planar Ornaments in Simulated Universe

You can obtain Planar Ornaments from Simulated Universe using Trailblaze Power. This can either be through the Ornament Extraction activity from Divergent Universe, or by progressing through worlds in Simulated Universe.

Alternatively, you can obtain planar ornaments by exchanging Immersifier in Simulated Universe instead. After obtaining enough Simulated Universe points, you can receive up to 4 free Immersifiers every week.

How to Get Trailblaze Power?

Replenishing Trailblaze Power

There are a few ways to get more Trailblaze Power, and this can range anywhere from free to paid methods. The methods to gain or earn Trailblaze Power are:

  • Natural Regeneration Over Time
  • Using Fuel
  • Using Immersifier
  • Spending Stellar Jade on refreshes

You can hold up to 300 natural Trailblaze Power, 2,400 Reserved Trailblaze Power, and 12 Immersifiers.

3.1.

Natural Regeneration

Trailblaze Power

Every player has a maximum Trailblaze Power limit of 300. After the capacity reaches its maximum, excess Trailblaze Power will go into Reserve. If you can still obtain more Trailblaze Power, it will naturally regenerate on its own.

Regardless if you are playing the game or not, the recovery rate is 1 Trailblaze Power point every 6 minutes, up to a maximum of 300 points. If you start recovering from 0 points, it will take a total of 30 hours to reach its maximum capacity.

3.2.

Reserved Trailblaze Power

Reserved Trailblaze Power

If your Trailblaze Power has fully regenerated or is more than the maximum capacity amount, your next natural Trailblaze Power point will get added to Reserved Trailblaze Power instead. You can have up to 2,400 Reserved Trailblaze Power at most.

Reserved Trailblaze Power naturally recovers at a slower rate than normal Trailblaze Power, at a rate of 1 point every 18 minutes. If you start recovering from 0 Reserved Trailblaze Power points, it will take a total of 30 days, or 720 hours. If you have 0 Trailblaze Power as well, it will be approximately 32 days instead.

You can exchange Reserved Trailblaze Power for Trailblaze Power, but not vice versa. The current exchange rate is 1-to-1 ratio, and you can exchange up to 300 points at a time.

3.3.

Immersifiers from Simulated Universe

Immersifiers in Simulated Universe

If you play through the Simulated Universe or Divergent Universe game modes, you can earn Immersifiers by obtaining weekly Simulated Universe points every week. You can obtain up to 8 Immersifiers each week, with a maximum capacity of 12 Immersifiers at most.

You can also convert Trailblaze Power into Immersifiers, at a exchange rate of 40 Trailblaze Power to 1 Immersifier. You cannot convert Immersifiers back or into Trailblaze Power, and they can only be used to obtain Planary Ornaments.

3.4.
