The Anglers Reputation and Rewards Guide
The Anglers are a fishing focused faction found mostly in Krasarang Wilds. On this
page you will learn everything about how to gain reputation and earn unique rewards
like the Reins of the Azure Water Strider.
Overview
The Anglers are a neutral faction based out of Angler's Warf in The Krasarang Wilds. As you may have guessed the Anglers faction is based almost entirely around fishing and offers some unique rewards not only to increase your quality of life while fishing but to help you travel more effectively across Pandaria and really anywhere in Azeroth. Please note that you will need to be level 90 to complete the daily quests offered at the Angler's Warf which is where the majority of your reputation gain will come from with The Anglers. This guide features information both about how to gain reputation with the Anglers but also with Nat Pagle who is a key member of the Anglers.
Gaining Reputation
Daily quests and one time quests are the primary way of building reputation with The Anglers. In the Dread Waste there will be a small
fishing town known as Soggy's Gamble located at (55.6, 72.4). At Soggy's Gamble there will be some one time quests you can complete to earn
yourself some reputation with The Anglers, unlike the daily quests you will be able to complete these at level 89. I personally recommend that
you reach Revered with The Anglers before heading to Soggy's Gamble so we can take advantage of the bonus reputation granted by Grand Commendation of the Anglers
before completing the one time quests. To complete the daily quests we will head down to The Angler's Warf (found at 67.6, 42.6) in Krasrang Wilds.
Here you should be able to find 3 daily quests each day, finishing all 3 will reward you 1500 reputation a day. As an added bonus you will also
gain 1 Fishing skill each time you complete a daily quest with The Anglers upon turning in the quest.
Nat Pagle
Nat Pagle is one of the few NPCs in the game that has a 'friendship' system, which acts very similarly to reputation. Raising your friendship level with Nat Pagle acts very similarly to any other reputation with daily quests, but instead of picking up daily quests you will be tasked with going out and finding 3 rare fish. It is important to know that Nat will not give you a quest to go and find these fish, these fish will offer you a quest upon finding them to return them to Nat. These quests are repeatable once each day similar to any other daily quest. Keep in mind that you do not need to fish inside of pools to get any of these three fish, you just need to be in the correct areas where they have a chance to drop.
Spinefish Alpha These can be fished up in Kun-Lai Summit, Dread Wastes or Townlong Steppes. The most reliable spot I have found for these is in southeast Kun-Lai Summit in the waters just east of Eastwind Rest, anywhere cast in those waters will give you a chance at looting this first fish.
Mimic Octopus Can be found in any coastal zone in Mists of Pandaria, just make sure you are fishing in the ocean not an interior lake or pond. There is no real recommended spot for this, just find yourself a spot along the coastline of Pandaria and start fishing!
Flying Tiger Gourami Can be found in in-land bodies of water, so think rivers, streams and lakes. I personally recommend heading just a bit north of the Angler's Warf and just a bit east of Thunder Cleft in Krassrang Wilds (at about 61.6, 22.4) and fishing in that lake just due to its close proximity to the Angler's Warf but again really any inland body of water will give you a chance at catching this.
Please note that there are only two rewards from raising your friendship level with Nat Pagle, Nat's Fishing Journal which increases
your fishing skill by 50, up to the max of 600, making it much easier to level fishing on another character and
Nat's Hat which will greatly
increase your Fishing Skill with the special lure it offers.
Reputation Rewards
Nat Pagle is the quartermaster for Anglers; they can be found at the Angler's Warf in the Krasrang Wilds. (68.4, 43.4) Are their coordinates.
