The Tillers Reputation and Rewards Guide
The Tillers are a farming focused faction found mostly in the Valley of the Four Winds. On this
page you will learn everything about how to gain reputation, raise your friendship levels and
earn unique rewards like the Reins of the Black Riding Goat.
Overview
The Tillers are a neutral faction based out of Halfhill in The Valley of Four Winds. The Tillers are unique from most
factions in that it acts much more as a longer quest chain that is gated by reputation breakpoints. Raising your reputation
and progressing through the quest line with the Tillers has a number of benefits from allowing you more plots on your farm
that will allow you to grow more things from ingredients for your best-in-slot food buffs to crafting materials to help
make you some extra gold. And of course should you make it all the way to exalted the unique Reins of the Brown Riding Goat
and other goat mounts. This guide features information both about how to gain reputation with The Tillers but also how to raise
your friendship level with the various members of the Tillers.
Gaining Reputation
As mentioned about gaining reputation with the Tillers is a bit strange compared to other reputations, you will begin your reputation grind with Farmer Yoon who will offer you the first quest in the series A Helping Hand. This quest can be completed at level 85 but keep in mind most of the reputation gaining activities for the Tillers will be gated until you reach level 90. Complete the short series of quests provided by Yoon to unlock your first 4 plots of land and the first set of 5 daily quests. These dailies will be offered by various members of the Tillers and will all be located in Halfhill. Completing a full set of these dailies will grant you about 1075 reputation. As you reach specific breakpoints you will unlock additional one time quests to further the story line and unlock more plots of land, highlighted below are these breakpoints.
- Honored — You will gain four more plots of land, giving you 8 plots.
- Honored 5600 — Mung-Mung's Vote I: A Hozen's Problem unlocks.
- Revered — You will gain for more plots of land, giving you 12 plots.
- Revered 4500 — Farmer Fung's Vote I: Yak Attack unlocks
- Revered 8400 — Nana's Vote I: Nana's Secret Recipe unlocks
- Revered 12600 — Lost and Lonely unlocks
- Revered 16800 — Haohan's Vote I: Bungalow Break-In unlocks
- Exalted — Your final four plots of land are unlocked, giving you 16 plots.
Farming
Farming is one of the major benefits of raising your reputation with the Tillers, as your reputation grows you will not only have more plots to grow additional crops but you will also have access to different types of seeds that will yield harvests ranging from ingredients for your raid consumables to profession items. The process of farming is quite simple, you will be able to plant your desired seed into one of the plots of dirt available on your farm and then from there you will likely need to interact with it in some way, this can range from having to kill an enemy that has taken an interest in your crop to de-tangling some vines. Keep in mind that it will take about 24 hours for your crop to fully grow so make sure you check back at your farm each day to make sure something is always in the process of growing. You will be able to buy seeds from Merchant Greenfield (found at 52.8 52.0).
Members of the Tillers
There are two primary ways to raise your Friendship level with members of the Tillers, by completing their daily quest on days they are visiting the farm or by giving them a gift, there are two kinds of gifts either food or a unique trinket that they like. The food is rather self explanatory in that you will have to either cook or purchase the respective Tiller's preferred food and giving it to them will increase your friendship level. The trinkets are a bit more involved, throughout Pandaria you find dark soil which can be interacted with and doing so will give you a random trinket to give to a Tiller. Each Tiller has a specific item that can be given to them to increase your friendship level so keep this in mind. Highlighted below is a list of what each Tiller likes and what they will give you upon reaching Best Friend status. You can give these gifts to the corresponding Tiller once a day, so it is very similar to other daily quests. Keep in mind these are basically individual reputations you are farming, while some of them may offer you additional one time quests that grant Tillers reputation you do not need to raise your friendship levels at all to reach Exalted with the Tillers.
