Zenless Zone Zero Battery Charge Explained
Battery Charge is your daily energy system in Zenless Zone Zero. Read on to learn all about how to obtain Battery Charge and how use it.
What are Battery Charges in Zenless Zone Zero?

Battery Charge is the daily energy/stamina system of Zenless Zone Zero. Some activities in the game will require consuming a certain amount of battery.
Using Battery Charges on different activities will allow you to receive specific rewards, such as Agent and W-Engine upgrade materials.
Battery Charge Refill
Battery Charge will refill on its own: You gain one charge every 6 minutes. You would therefore need 24 hours to refill your battery from 0 to 240.
You can also manually refill your battery charge if needed. If you manually Refill your battery, you can exceed the 240 cap, however the charges will stop refilling on their own until you are under the 240 cap again.

Here are the multiple ways you can manually gain additional charges:
- Coffee Shop: Once per day you can purchase a coffee which will automatically give you an additional 60-80 battery Charge.
- Ether Battery: One Ether Battery restores 60 Charges. You can gain those through completing Commissions, Events, or through the battle pass or in-game shop.
- Backup Battery Charge: Can be converted to Battery Charges. 1 Backup Battery equals 1 Battery charge.
- Polychromes: While it is not advised you spend Polychromes to refill batteries, it is still a possibility. You can do this 8 times per day.
What can you Use Battery Charges on?
The main content you will use your battery charge on is using the VR challenges inside of the HIA Club. One Run can cost you between 20 and 100 Battery Charge.
In the HIA, you will have access to different challenges:
- Combat Simulation:
- Basic Material
- Agent Promotion Material
- Agent Skill Material
- W-Engine upgrade Material
- Custom material farming
- Expert Challenge: rewarding you with core skill upgrade materials.

The second content you will use your battery charges on is the Routine Cleanup. Those challenges are located at the Scott Outpost.

Routine Cleanup lets you farm for the specific Drive-Disks you need. One Routine Clean-up Run will cost you 60 Battery Charge.
You can also use 30 Battery Charges to continue fighting in the Notorious Hunt, once the three free weekly challenges are completed. This can be done through the Pursuit of the Depths system inside the Notorious Hunt.
