New Currencies in Cataclysm Classic
Cataclysm brings multiple new currencies into the game, removing the multi-tiered badge system originally introduced during the Wrath of the Lich King. On this page you will learn everything about the new currencies and what they can be used for.
Cataclysm brings multiple new currencies to the game while removing the majority of the currencies previously available. Below you can find all of the information available for these new currencies, where to get them, and what they can be spent on.
Justice Points
Justice Points are earned from end-game normal and heroic dungeons,
as well as previous raid tiers.
Justice Points can be spent on
pre-raid gear, heirlooms and gear from previous raid tiers.
Justice Points are the newest, main currency system added in during
Cataclysm.
Justice Points replace the convoluted badge system from
Wrath of the Lich King; instead of having a new badge for each phase, such as
Emblem of Heroism and
Emblem of Conquest,
Justice Points are the "non-raid" currency for every phase. Players can
have a total of 4,000
Justice Points.
When Cataclysm releases, all older PvE currencies will be converted to gold,
while more current PvE currencies will be converted to
Justice Points.
Below you can find an exact detailed conversion rate released by Blizzard:

Valor Points
Valor Points are the new raid currency which can only be obtained
from defeating Cataclysm raid bosses and are used to purchase current tier raid
gear. Players can only earn a total of 1,600
Valor Points a week. With
each new raid tier introduced to the game, all
Valor Points will be
converted to
Justice Points.
Honor Points
While
Honor Points are not a new currency, it has received a large
rework in Cataclysm. Players can only have a maximum of
Honor Points,
kills and battlegrounds award much less Honor overall, and gear PvP gear is
priced much lower to match the new gains.
With the release of the pre-patch for Cataclysm, all older PvP currencies
will be converted to the new
Honor Points, at rates shown below:

battleground of the day. These points are used for Arena PvP gear sets, similar
to previous expansions.
