Heroes of the Storm The Butcher

Why is nothing on here ever updated to date?

What is there to update? The Butcher hasn't been subject to any patch notes in a long time, and his gameplay style doesn't change. The suggested build works perfectly fine in the current meta.

I am noticing that some of the Butchers obvious counters are missing from the checks and counter list.

Li Li has Blinds through her Hindering Wind and provides frequent Unstoppables to help targets to escape from Ruthless Onslaught and Lamb to the Slaughter through her Let's Go. Li Li's Wind Serpent talent rework only made her more powerful against The Butcher.

Cassia mitigates AA damage through her trait and also has Blinds.

Medivh shields make The Butcher cry. Even moreso if they explode in his face. Medivh is a bad Onslaught Target too because he can escape through flying away. Talking about Onslaught, if the shield is on cooldown, there is also the portal which can move Onslaught targets to places where The Butcher really doesn't want to go,

Tyrael has shielding too (even if nowhere near as powerful as Medivh's) but instead comes with the Sanctification which also can screw The Butcher pretty hard.

That's not even mentioning all the softer checks and counters that just provide shields (like Zarya and post-13 Rehgar) and Cleanse supports), Artanis' Blind ult, etc

That may be true, but that talent really can't compete to SlaughterhouseSlaughterhouse or Bolt of the StormBolt of the Storm.

Statistics say otherwise. According to HotsLogs, Nexus Blades is the Lvl 20 talent with the highest win rate by far, both in HL and QM.

And while of course there can be situations where you catch 2 or more heroes with one Slaughterhouse, it is absolutely useless when chasing or ganking one enemy off guard or fighting 5vs5 but the heroes aren't that close together. In addition to that, you have 4 seconds to get the most out of it when there are two or even more enemies catched, which can confuse your allies who to attack. Afer those 4 seconds, they can shoot all their spells like they haven't been silenced before. So imho Slaughterhouse still remains a powerful, but very situational talent to get use out of, while Nexus Blades triggers at - every - goddamn - hit.

What statistics don't say is that Nexus Blades are taken when Butcher is already winning the game and he doesn't Slaughterhouse because it is not needed.

There some grammar mistakes that should be corrected in the role in the current meta(an no instead of an on ).

Thanks for pointing this out! A fix for this should go up soon.

I hope I am not bothering with these observations but I think a site without grammar mistakes seems professional and trustworthy.

They are important to us, because as you say, issues like these make the site seem less professional. We try hard to fix these issues before they go live, but sometimes we miss them.

Heroes Developer Blizz_DWarner wrote a personal post on Reddit, thanking the community for the amazing time they've had designing the game over the 8 or so years.
      (Source)
      Hi everyone!
Just wanted to pop in and give a proper personal thank you and goodbye to all the lovelies that have kept the community alive and thriving over the years.
I’m gonna get mushy for a bit, but I feel I can’t even begin to express how much this game and its community means to me. Anyone who has worked on any artistic or creative endeavor knows that some portion of ‘you’ goes into your work and becomes inextricably written into your soul. It's painful to look back and see those freshly separated fragments of 'you' suspended in time, but that's life eh?
I started on this project some 8 or so years ago as an assistant technical designer, originally tasked with simple data implementations of the first sets of maps and heroes. Since then, I’ve touched probably every map, dozens of reworks, several core hero designs and of course several thousand bugs. This work was not spawned out of some special DWarner pocket dimension though, it occurred here, in the real (digital) world, with my hundreds of (very talented and handsome) coworkers and most importantly, you.
Despite what community consensus might state, designers are usually present in forum discussions, watching popular streams (special shoutout to FollowGrubby, CCL, and the crew of Into The Nexus) and of course sharing dank memes. All of your participation and energy helped us trudge through our difficult days (it’s still a job after all), guide our decision making, and just generally help us feel like we’re part of something more than just data fields and debug maps. We couldn’t have done it without you, so thanks, really.
If you made it this far, raise a glass of whatever and say cheers to all! Cheers to the passionate, cheers to the haters, cheers to the memers, cheers to the contrarians! Cheers to the goof leaguers, wood leaguers and the most sparkling diamonds! Cheers to the quickmatchers, cheers to the Vs AI’rs, cheers to the ppl that play every night, or only twice a year! Cheers to Spazzo and Notbelial and all the lurkers too! Cheers to CCL, the 323r’s, the 6.5r’s! Cheers to the whole damn lot of you ❤️
      Steaming hot regards,
      Blizz_DWarner
      P.S. I'll see you all in Diablo 4 ?

Blizzard made some changes to the free Hero rotation that resets each Tuesday in the latest patch, changing this week's rotation.
The free Hero rotation won't reset weekly. Instead, it will reset every 1st, 8th, 15th, and 22nd of every month. As a result, the free Hero rotation posted on June 12 changed with the patch.
The following Heroes are free to play until July 15, 2022:
Ana Dehaka Garrosh Gazlowe Johanna Malfurion Mal'Ganis Nova Tassadar Thrall Tracer Valla Zeratul Zul'jin Source: The Nexus Compendium
