This week's Tavern Brawl is Cart Crash at the Crossroads. It is the 51st Tavern Brawl. For this Brawl you choose a hero and get a preconstructed deck. After the mulligan, but before your first turn, you discover a second hero. Cards from that class are added to your deck, although you retain the Hero Power from the first class selected.

As has been the case in many recent Brawls, you do not need to build your own deck. The decks provided include plenty of Legendary cards, which means that players with small collections will get to use cards they don't usually have access to. As regular readers will know, I'm a big fan of this. This Brawl looks like it will be a lot of fun, as well as being good practice for newer players looking to improve their general gameplay.

Try to make sure your two classes have some synergy. If you are not a weapon class, then adding in cards from a Rogue, for instance, might result in some wasted draws.

Let us know which combinations worked best for you. Did you manage to kill someone with a combination of cards that is not normally possible?

Had a wild combo while playing paladin + priest

Auchenai Soulpriest + Prophet Velen + Forbidden Healing = BOOM

Mage + Shaman is a very explosive combo if you get a lot of burn spells.

Starting first is often seen as better than going second, in spite of the extra card and The Coin that you receive at the start of the game. This is due to the loss of tempo from the missing mana. Although the difference in win rates is quite small, it still can be felt, especially in Aggro vs Aggro matchups, where going first results in a significant advantage.
Who goes first is decided by quite literally a coin flip—it is decided randomly, visualised by a coin toss. There is no way to affect whether you go first or second. However, you can mitigate the effects of the coin toss by playing a deck that is not affected as much by going first or second.

Both players get to play as Deathstalker Rexxar, the Hunter Death Knight!
It's time to experience how powerful Deathstalker Rexxar is; the hero card is, after all, included in some of the best decks of the current meta like Spell and Recruit Hunter.
The Hero Power is free in this Tavern Brawl, so you can use it all you want. It's better to use it first on your turn and it really tests your skill as you need to craft the proper Zombeast for the situation you are in. Your deck will also be filled with various random Zombeasts, as well as Hunter cards. Lastly, you will start at 3 mana.
Games can last long and your hand will be quite full most of the time, so be careful not to overdraw.
This Tavern Brawl is part of the Taverns of Time event. Good luck!
