Is prydaz still the best legendary since we have fortifying brew now? So that's our active mitigation.

Should be, nothing else comes close to it HPS wise and healing you prevent on yourself is healing you can be doing on other members of the raid instead. Plus crazy stats. Oh and a socket :)

Coming to the rescue again! Thanks Seksi :)

I'm having some trouble with regularly using my artifact ability Sheilun's Gift. It has a very long cast time (1.67s at 888 ilvl, 20% haste) and by the time I identify a target that would benefit from however many mists I have and actually cast the spell, someone else has already topped off the target. Despite this I'm among the top healers in the group I usually run hc nighthold with. But I can't shake off the feeling that the ability is clunky somehow.

Looking at the last two empowered traits I'm hoping it will fill the role of randomized semi-aoe heal once I get them.

I feel like Sheilun's should be used in a similar way to a defensive cooldown if you are hoping to use it with the maximum amount of clouds - you'll need to decide when a large hit of damage is incoming in order to gain the full benefit of it. You can then essentially precast it so that the heal hits as soon as the damage has hit your tank. Fight knowledge is probably key here.

If you don't want to use it in this way, then I believe the best thing to do (assuming a decent amount of Mastery) is to simply cast it with fewer clouds ready. This will heal less, but you won't be overhealing as much. I believe it is mentioned in the guide as a mana-preserving method of healing.

I know, Blainie, but my main point was that it's SO slow. By the time I cast it, no matter what amount of clouds I'm using, the target is already stabilized or completely topped off by someone else's panic button (if dmg is high) or by a HoT (if dmg is low).

That's the thing - it's not a panic button, basically. It's a panic button that has to be used pre-emptively, unlike things like Revival. It sucks, but it's what Blizzard has given us :(

Hi,

regarding "4.1. Single Target Healing": When using the 45-talent "mist wrap" as recommended, it is not necessary to avoid moving while channeling soothing mist as the talent covers that

On the macros section, after #showtooltip, I'm fairly sure the spell name is redundant.

OK. Admission time. I have played WoW for 10 years and never really bothered to learn about Referred Threat from healing.

e.g. if the tank body pulls everything in the start of UBRS and you try the tiniest, weakest HOT before they have establish more aggro, your referred threat will pull 8-10 hostiles off the tank and you will insta-die.

Similarly, in normal Gnomer, the glitch is still there - if a pet class toon jumps onto the cog, without dismissing their pet, it will run the slow way and aggro everything it encounters. When it gets back to it's master, the hostiles will almost always switch aggro to the healer, who better be ready, or they will insta-die.

QUESTION : Does referred threat also apply to pets as well as toons ? Just finished a run in Gnomer, where hostiles ran past the tank and DPS to attack me and I'm going "who, me?". The group had a BM hunter with tanking pet and it was randomly attacking stuff well away from the tank. The only explanation was that I applied referred threat to the pet too. But I didn't think I was healing it, so it shouldn't be. An article on referred threat might be a good idea, for healers. It rarely matters. But it would help explain to the team, why we died, healing them, as they stood in fire.

I plan on installing Omen to watch the effect of abilities like Zen Pulse, to see what they do. I love that for 5 mans with stupid ranged DPS, who pull 5-6 low health, high DPS hostiles. But I am assuming it will generate lots of referred threat from both DPS and heals. Didn't we all die once from referred threat, the first time we used Zen Sphere and after the fight, the tank walked past non-engaged yellow neutrals ?

This is purely there just in case you wish to have a certain tooltip image for your macro and have multiple spells inside it.

Yes, it does. Did you have any kind of passive healing active anywhere or a HoT on anyone? That would be enough to do it.

I just added a comment to the general Healer Guide about maybe adding a section on Threat.

But referred threat applying to pets answers some of my confusion. I just loaded Omento watche threat on my new-ish MW, to see if I understand what's going on. As I spend more time leveling new healers, than progression raiding, I see a good selection of random strangeness, unconventional gameplay and badnesss (which is part of the reason I do it)  :)

Thanks.

The boots from the legendary section really need an update, because the comment

Quote

Ei'thas, Lunar Glides of Eramas IconEi'thas, Lunar Glides of Eramas: this legendary is very strong for Mythic+ dungeons from a Mana efficiency stand point. Also, because the effect is so strong, you do not need to talent Rising Thunder IconRising Thunder in 5-man content to utilise it, but it is still strongly encouraged.

Is not relevant anymore.

Omen is a really good start for it. Threat sometimes interacts in incredibly odd ways that can't be properly explained due to multiple inputs from different characters - it can get really confusing!

Using Omen to properly list threat means you can keep an eye on things at all times.

We are currently in the process of updating our guides in preparation for the release of 7.2.5 - all questions about "What is better for 7.2.5, X or Y?" will be answered in our guide updates. Thanks for your patience while we get everything completed and good luck in the new patch!

I noticed in the Patch Notes that Chi Wave had it's healing increased by 73%. Does anyone think this increase may be worth taking into consideration in the Tier 1 Talent choices?

Even with the increase, it's still a pretty poor choice. You can't decide who is healed by it, you can't guarantee how the wave will travel other than moving through "low health" targets and it's pretty much outperformed by either other option in their respective chosen environment.

Here's how you can upgrade your legendary weapons in Dragonflight Season 4 next week!
This one is for Fyr'alath and Nasz'uro owners. You must first farm 2 Antique Bronze Bullions. However, you can only acquire 1 Antique Bronze Bullion per week from Awakened Raid bosses. The bullion will drop in Raid Finder difficulty too.
Next week, the cap will be raised to 2 and a catch-up method will be implemented, so players who didn't have the chance to get their first bullion can get it from the weekly quest in Valdrakken.
Anyway, the soonest you can upgrade your legendary to the base item level of 502 is during the week of April 30th (so next week).
Once you have 2 Antique Bronze Bullions, head to the Parting Glass in Valdrakken.

Evokers need to buy Scale of Awakening from Iszinormi for 2 Antique Bronze Bullions. Death Knights, Paladins, and Warriors need to buy Scale of Awakening from Iszinormi for  2 Antique Bronze Bullions. Once purchased, use the consumable to upgrade your legendary to item level 502, the base item level for Season 4.
After that, you can further upgrade your legendary using Flightstones and crests. Check out our gear upgrading guide for more info!

Cache of Timewarped Treasures obtained from Black Temple Timewalking quest this week has a chance to contain Ashes of Al'ar!
Don't forget to complete this week's Timewalking raid! If you're having trouble getting into a group, create your own one, invite 2 tanks 4-5 healers and around 14 DPS and you are all set! Visit Shattrath, and talk to the Timewalking NPC to queue up for the raid.
The raid is extremely easy to compete and what's more, you get item level 493 loot along your way.
Upon defeating Illidan Stormrage and completing the quest, you will receive Cache of Timewarped Treasures that has an increased chance of containing Ashes of Al'ar or another piece of gear.
Demon Hunters shouldn't forget to get their warglaives transmog arsenal from Illidan and the reputation buff will help you add a couple of mounts to your collection!

Tama's Dragonflight Helper is a Weakaura that displays a weekly to-do list in the game and it's been updated for Dragonflight Season 4!
The WeakAura is very useful for keeping track of everything in the game at max level. It shows you a to-do list with the weekly tasks, provides you with the locations of rares, super rares, information about your current Renown standing, and more.

You will find Tama's Dragonflight Helper at wago.io. Please note that you must first download and install WeakAuras 2 to import the string.

Cataclysm's Grim Batol has been added to the Mythic+ Dungeon rotation in The War Within Season 1, and one boss received a brand new model recently on the Alpha.
General Umbriss, the first boss of the dungeon, got a shiny new model, which is quite different from his previous one. Below is a screenshot of the old a new model.
