Outlaw - Roll The Bones Questions

5 posts in this topic

Hey,

I tried to collect information about roll the bones by reading and watching guides but i feel like there are so many details that are not mentioned. So it leads me to create this thread with all my recent questions that came to my mind while playing this spec. I would really appreciate it if someone who is more experienced than me in theorycrafting could reply.

1. Ill start with general questions when I go through my normal rotation

     with NO cooldowns activated.

    - 1.1  I  heard that I want to reroll until I have 2 buffs active and

that no single buff is worth keeping in my normal rotation. Are there

exceptions? Do I want to reroll some buffs even if 2 are active? (Saw in

a thread that you want to reroll Grand Meele)

  - 1.2  I know there is no real difference if I cast Run Through at 5+ or 6 CP but

does that change when the buff Broadsides is up? Do I want to cast Run

Through at 4+ CP to not waste 2 CP if the Pistol Shot procs? If not, does it

change when I ALSO have the buff Jolly Roger up because  more

pistol shot procs = more wasted CPs?

2. Following questions are about the OPENING sequence with Adrenaline and

    Artifact.

   - 2.1 The Icy-Veins guide tells me to keep Shark Invested Waters or 2 buffs.

Other sources say that true bearing is also worth keeping because it resets

Adrenaline Rush, is it good to keep this buff aswell?

   - 2.2 Are there exceptions aswell with the 2 buffs ? I feel like Broadsides, Jolly

Roger and Buried Treasure are useless in the opener because of

Adrenaline Rush and Artifact. Whats the benefit in rolling Broadsides +

          Jolly Roger ?

  - 2.3 Do you always want  have the in 2.1 mentioned buffs up BEFORE you use

your cooldowns even if u get unlucky and fish multiple times or do you just

use CDs and fish while using them ? It doesnt really make a difference for

me if I fish 4 times before CDs or 4 times in CDs except I have DMG trinkets

or other DMG increases activated, right?

Okay these are all the things that bothered me while playing

It would be awesome if you guys could discuss these questions with me !

Thanks,

Quentio

I actually posted a thread a few minutes ago which is more up to date than the guide on the main site

This question is answered in there if you want to go give it a read

You always want to be using finishers at 5CP or 6CP. If you have 4, cast either SS or PS. If you have 5 or 6, cast RT.

In short, yeah they're not ideal and it's ok to reroll them, but you don't need to.

This is outlined a little at the bottom of that info thread

Yeah you can fish for buffs while you have cooldowns active there's nothing wrong with that. Again, check the info thread for more details.

Thank you very much for the answer. Interesting that you want to always keep tb. I have the legendary boots for rogue which increase my dmg by 20% of my increased movement speed so i am using sprint as a cooldown in my opener. I think under this circumstance i dont want to reroll while bursting. So would it be a dmg increase to always roll ie or tb before i activate it ?

If you get lucky enough to get them it's a bonus, but I don't think it's worth delaying cooldowns for

Ban-Lu, Grandmaster's Companion is Monk's Class Mount. It doesn't have any color variations at this time and we're not sure if Blizzard plans to add different tints in future builds. Monks can get a pet from their Order Hall that perfectly matches their new mount. You'll probably have to unlock all Artifact traits to purchase it if it's gated like the new Death Knight pets.

Ban-Fu, Cub of Ban-Lu (NPC - Ban-Fu, Cub of Ban-Lu) can be purchased from Mei Chele for 10,000 Order Resources.  Pet Abilities Spirit Claws Moon Tears Prowl Jade Claw Feed Vengeance

Blizzard have an official preview of the brawls that will be coming to shake up the Battleground PvP system, with Gravity Lapse, Tarren Mill vs. Southshore and Warsong Scramble.
      Blizzard (source)
With the release of patch 7.2: The Tomb of Sargeras, you can experience some of your favorite player-vs-player Battlegrounds with a little extra twist.
Every other week a new PvP Brawl will be available to players looking for something just a little different. Each Brawl will offer a variety of modes, rules, and scenic changes to the usual Battleground gameplay, and you’ll find them in the Group Finder tool (hotkey “I”) in the Player vs. Player tab. Just like Random Battlegrounds, you’ll receive a reward for achieving victory. Here are just a few of the Brawls you can look forward to:
      Gravity Lapse – Resource Race
Gravity getting you down? Step into the Eye of the Storm and be prepared for a whole new en-lighten-ing experience. Every minute, players on the battlefield will find themselves launched into the air, only to gently fall toward the ground once more in a perpetual aerial ballet as they try to accrue enough resources to take the win home for their team.
Tarren Mill vs. Southshore – Warfare
Originally introduced as a part of the World of Warcraft 10-Year Anniversary event, this Brawl harkens to the early days of WoW PvP with an epic battle between the two towns of Tarren Mill and Southshore. In this game of war, you’ll need to work as a team to deplete your foes’ resources to claim victory.
Warsong Scramble – Capture the Flag
Do you have a flag? Warsong Gulch has always been the scene of an epic Capture the Flag battle, but what happens when you can capture your enemy’s flag without your own at base? Find out when you step into this PvP Brawl! We’ve also added a few more power-ups to the field of battle to stir things up a bit. To win, your team will need to be the first to capture 5 flags.
As with Micro-Holidays, these PvP Brawls are just the beginning. We look forward to seeing which ones become your favorites!

Death Knights are getting a mount with an awesome /mountspecial! Available in three tints: red for Blood, blue for Frost and green for Unholy. Deathlord's Vilebrood Vanquisher is unlocked after completing The Lost Glacier scenario.
The Death Knight is wearing Normal difficulty Tier 20 Set from Tomb of Sargeras.
