Arcway Forgotten Spirits no longer respawn! Best fix ever. Also some other stuff.

Among some relatively small fixes and some more poor prot warrior bashing in the form of a bug fix, we find the most glorious hotfix yet. If you are like me and hate the Arcway, well...you're probably still going to hate it, but significantly less! Those pesky giant, torment casting spirits will no longer respawn!

Blizzard LogoOctober 5th

Classes

  • Druid
    • Moonkin Aura can no longer stack on targets.
  • Paladin
    • Steed of Glory now properly makes the Paladin immune to stun effects.
  • Shaman
    • Spirit Link Totem should no longer be damaged by Druids’ Rage of the Sleeper or Brambles.
  • Warrior
    • (Protection) Fixed a bug where Vengeance could cause Ignore Pain to consume less Rage than intended, but absorb for more.

Class Halls

  • The cooldown for all Class Hall abilities which allow you to instantly complete a World Quest has been reduced from 3 days to 18 hours, and the time taken to complete the work order for the item used by these abilities has been reduced to 10 minutes.
  • Fixed an issue that sometimes hid the barrier blocking the Feralas Portal in the Emerald Dreamway for Druids who have previously sealed it.
  • Priest dungeon quests from missions will now be turned in to Moira Thaurissan, rather than Alonus Faol, who sometimes has other things to do.

Dungeons and Raids

  • The Arcway
    • Forgotten Spirits will no longer respawn in The Arcway.
    • Timeless Wraiths will no longer attack players before they've been Banished In Time.
  • Halls of Valor
    • When Olmyr the Enlightened or Solsten are engaged, the door to Hyrja's room will shut while they are in combat.

PvP

  • Druid
    • Fury of Elune can no longer be cast during Arena and Battleground preparation.
  • Demon Hunter
    • Demon Hunters now start arenas with 0 Pain and Fury.
  • Rogue
    • Shadowy Duel now prevents you from assaulting bases in Domination battlegrounds such as Arathi Basin.
  • Shaman
    • Fury of Air can no longer be cast during Arena and Battleground preparation.

Quests

  • High-level players should now be eligible for the "Trial of Faith" scenario during the Garrison Campaign.
  • In the Withered Army Training scenario, it should be less likely for Leystalker Dro to be hiding somewhere that he wouldn't normally be encountered by clearing the room.
  • Enigmatic puzzles should no longer become non-responsive when a large number of players try to do the same Enigmatic World Quest puzzle.

Previous hotfixes.

Can they just remove him from the game instead? He hurts so much on my alts that use Cloth/Leather :(

once your army gets enough boosts it shouldn't matter, soon as he pops up set em to rampage and he should die in seconds. i usually clear a few rooms first to make sure i have 30+ withered, but just let them go crazy and he should only be up for 5 seconds.

Yes, he also mopped my withered the first few times I encountered him (not me I'm guardian druid).

But now I can just let the withered go at him and they will kill him swiftly...

Still think tanks have great advantage in this scenario though, I can basically just pull entire rooms one after the other without much thought...

early on they do indeed, even now that I have every army booster, there is still a slight advantage for tanks because you can pull bosses attention away from army. bosses only last 20 ish seconds but they can still get in some good cleave attacks, especially the one spider lady boss (too lazy to look up name atm). Basically her only attack is a big cleave swipe so i just face her away and boom no damage.... honestly pretty much like that for every boss. Dro you really can't tank but his health is so low you rampage burn him.

In this article, we're taking a look at content worth finishing before Battle for Azeroth goes live.
Ahead of the Curve: Argus the Unmaker & Cutting Edge: Argus the Unmaker
Both achievements will be removed once the pre-patch goes live. If you don't have the achievement yet, the first round of Mythic Argus nerfs has already been deployed to live servers, so defeating Argus on Mythic difficulty should be easier now.
      The Chosen Achievement
The achievement will become unobtainable in Battle for Azeroth.
Placeholder for tweet 1008845805501837316 A Challenging Look (Mage Tower Artifact Apppearance)
Blizzard confirmed that the Mage Tower will be permanently up at some point before Battle for Azeroth goes live, but they did not clarify if they meant the pre-patch or the actual expansion. Given how Azerite traits no longer work on 8.0 PTR, it's safe to assume we're going to see an announcement regarding the permanent Mage Tower in the coming days.
      Field Medic Achievement
First Aid will be removed in Battle for Azeroth and all achievements related to the Profession will become Feats of Strength.
      Brawler's Guild Removal
Brawler's Guild will be on hiatus with the release of BfA, but it's very likely that we'll see it return later on in Patch 8.1 or 8.1.5. Don't forget to get the Brawler's Burly Basilisk mount!
      Strand of Ancients Removal
The battleground will be removed in Battle for Azeroth. Achievements will turn into Feats of Strength (Master of Strand of the Ancients).
      Kirin Tor Summoning Crystal Mount
Violet Spellwing will not be available soon. Finish the "Blood of a Titan" quest by looting Blood of the Unmaker from Argus on Heroic difficulty or higher.
      Legion Mythic Difficulty Mounts
As is tradition, the drop rate of Mythic difficulty raid mounts will be reduced to 1% when Battle for Azeroth goes live. Legion only introduced two Mythic mounts to the game:
Gul'dan (Fiendish Hellfire Core) Argus (Shackled Ur'zul)

With Battle for Azeroth just two months away, Blizzard has updated the old Legion login screen with a new one in this week's Beta Build 26871.
The background is comprised of a sunlit sky and birds flying over the walls of Lordaeron, while in the forefront, we see various artifacts that solidify Battle for Azeroth's main theme -- the upcoming faction conflict.
The main title music has been previewed earlier and you can listen to the whole track below.
      Blizzard (Source)
With every expansion, our musical mages reach deep down into their souls and summon a tableau of sound to accompany your next adventure. Building upon a variety of musical themes from World of Warcraft over the years, composer Glenn Stafford has infused his magic into the new main title for Battle for Azeroth, “Before the Storm.” Sit back, relax, and let the music carry you into the heart of Azeroth.
“Before the Storm” was composed and arranged by Glenn Stafford; features additional music by Neal Acree, Sam Cardon, Clint Bajakian, and David Arkenstone; and includes classic World of Warcraft themes by Jason Hayes.

A short batch today as Battle for Azeroth approaches, focusing on Antorus Mythic. It's all about the final boss, Argus the Unmaker, nerfing his health and two abilities.
      June 19 (source)
Antorus, The Burning Throne Sargeras' Rage and Fear damage reduced by 15%. Argus' health reduced by 3% in Mythic Difficulty.

In case you missed it, there was a storytelling panel back at E3 a few days ago with Steve Danuser, Sr. Narrative Designer, Terran Gregory, Project Director and Christie Golden, Sr. Writer. The full title of the panel is World of Warcraft Storytelling: Bringing a Robust Universe to Life Through Different Mediums,  and covers how the writing team connect all the disparate WoW lore and story sources, including books, comics, as well as all other online and in-game sources.
With Battle for Azeroth being such a divisive expansion (perhaps intentionally), even way before its launch, WoW's story is under quite a big magnifying glass as of late, with Horde players in particular not being satisfied with the direction their faction/warchief is going, so this is the perfect time to buff up on just how the story department thinks and functions.
The team discusses the interconnectivity of expansion stories, the bigger role and quantity of in-game cinematics, the relevance of the faction conflict in WoW, character deaths and much more:
