DPS is to LOW

7 posts in this topic

MY DPS is to low for my gear level and I have tried everything reforging..... I am using a new trinket was using volatile talisman instead of Cha Ye which I just started using. I am playing destruction and Im to low.. any help would be appreciated.

Rotation is CoE, immolate, conflag, incin, incin, incin, Chaos Bolt, , keep RoF up

'

I know you should use CBS when you have trinket procs or other CDs but what if you dont have any do you let the CBS pool up and then cast one right before you will have four? I just dont know what is keeping my dps down

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks very much :)

I posted a response in that other thread before I saw you make this one here.

Basically we need logs to really be able to help you out. Any problems you're having is in your rotation/gameplay/use of fight mechanics and a link to your armory doesn't do much. Other than seeing that you're hit-capped, no major DPS gains will be found by changing your stats. I notice that you don't have any professions maxed. That hurts. Level up those bad boys, but I don't recommend mining if you're interested in extra DPS.

Record some logs of fights to give us a better picture of what you're doing, even LFR works for this if you want. Worldoflogs is a great way to evaluate what you're actually doing during fights.

Is the "rotation" you listed your actual rotation, or is that supposed to be your opener? If its your opener you might want to refer to the Destro Tips thread for a more ideal one.

I know you should use CBS when you have trinket procs or other CDs but what if you dont have any do you let the CBS pool up and then cast one right before you will have four?

Basically.

Don't pool all ember so much that you're sitting at full for a longer period of time.. that is waste experience in which you want to throw out a CB to eliminate or.. or two.. it's quite easy to generate your embers back and i find it more difficult to sit at lower embers than it is to sit around full.

Don't have a ton of time atm, but the first thing I notice is that your opener could be a lot stronger.

Try using:

Pre-pot

CoE

DS

Immo

RoF

Conflag x2

Incin x4

CB x2

Immo

Normal rotation from here.

This is also what Zagam has listed in the Destro Tips thread. It provides very good burst with great ember generation during the opener.

The problem with yours is CB is the first thing you're casting and you really want to get the ember generation going right off the bat. Plus, you're not giving your trinkets/procs enough time to come up for your first CB. If you delay the CB's like above you'll have all of your procs rolling and get some pretty big CB numbers. Hope that helps for now. I can dig deeper later on.

BTW, the switch from Barbarella to Decayn threw me off at first cuz I couldn't figure out which one you were. Posted Image

      **Who we are**
<Hollow> is a semi-hardcore guild created by a group of friends, experienced players, that raided HC together in WOTLK. We reunited and transfered to the same realm to create a guild, or more accurately, a home. We keep a very friendly environment in and out of raids, oftenly joining discord to chat even if we aren't doing anything. Guild activities include but are not limited to mythic dungeons, mythic + and raiding.
      **Our goals**
Our current progress is 4/7M EN, 3/3HC ToV, 10/10N NH and 10/10HC. Our goal is to form a better composed raid team for Mythic raiding. We want to get everyone experienced and geared for Mythic and new content.
      **What we are looking for**
Recruitment is open as we are going to be reforming the core group. Every class and spec will be considered.
      Socials are also welcome!
      **Our raiding schedule**
Our current raiding schedule is 3 raids a week for 3 hours:
Wednesday 8pm server time - NH HC Thursday 8pm server time - NH HC Sunday 8pm server time - NH N During progression the schedule might change **The guild is using DKP system**
NOTE: We have added a catch up system for new recruits. When you get past the trial phase and join the ranks as a raider of our guild, you also earn 200 dkp as bonus and when you prove yourself that you are worthy of a core spot, you also get 300 dkp as bonus. We wont leave anyone behind no matter how new while at the same time, drawing a line for our core, active raiders that have been with us since the start.

Guild: Dawn of the Dead | http://www.dotd.org   Faction: Horde | Server: Zul'jin (PvE) | Timezone: EST   Current Progression: 3/10M Nighthold | 2/3M Trial of Valor | 7/7M Emerald Nightmare   We've been raiding max size raids continuously since WoW has been released and are the only guild to have done so here on Zul'jin. We have strong leadership, no drama, and plans to keep raiding for years to come. Unlike many guilds, we're not recruiting for the short term, and we don't over-recruit.   Website: www.dotd.org
Raid Times: Our schedule is 8-11 EST Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.   Needs: We are a small guild, and we expect high attendance. As such, we recruit people to raid, and desire people who can step in and contribute immediately. We don’t recruit people to sit around, so all spots are for raiders who can expect to be in most every raid.   We are currently looking to add skilled and reliable:   2-3 Melee DPS
      Death Knight, Rogue
      3-4 Ranged DPS
      Shadow Priest, Balance Druid, Mage
*ALL exceptional applicants will be considered regardless of the class.   What we ask of you:   Effort: Not all applicants come from highly progressed guilds, and that’s okay, but it does mean that you need to be prepared. We recruit the player, not the gear, but we do ask that you have some current experience and be a minimum iLvl of 885. You need to have the best gear available to you, (BoE, Crafted) with gems and top end enchants. You also need to be able to display an understanding of your class mechanics, role in a raid, and ability to learn new fights.   Attitude: It’s a game. We play for fun. How you fit in with the guild is taken very seriously. We’re a bunch of mostly 18-30 guys and girls who have fun playing together. While we have a good time, we also know when it’s time to buckle down and work hard.   Skill: The best way to determine skill is to see you in a raid. Because we don’t wish to have anyone transfer that we’re not serious about, be able to express your knowledge of your class and why you’re an exceptional player who would be an asset and is worth a shot. Gear will come with time. Skill will not. Impress us with your knowledge of your class and gameplay mechanics. Feel free to share any logs, theorycrafting, or other work you've done.   Commitment: We make a commitment to you, and ask you to do the same to us. A raid takes a team of more than 20 individuals working together. We rely on you to show up to raids, research your class and new fights, respect your fellow players, and notify us when you are unavailable. You rely on us for gear, experience, and coordination. It's a large investment of our time to train and gear new players, and we ask the same investment on your part so that we can each benefit.   We have a variety of informational resources available to prospective applicants on our web site: http://www.dotd.org-- please refer to our "Applications" forum for detailed information. Also feel free to visit us on WoWProgresss for more information and kill videos! http://www.wowprogress.com/guild/us/...wn+of+the+Dead   Should you wish to speak to someone in-game, please don't hesitate to reach out to an officer directly, whisper Xanah (Xana#1662) or Jeare (Jeare#1759).   We look forward to hearing from you soon!
