Fury DPS struggle

Recommended Posts

Dear All,

I'm really struggling with my fury dps.

Armory:

http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/ragnaros/Mandown/simple

Logs:

https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/cCZtpQhKqvbmwgY2/#type=damage-done&boss=-3&source=2

http://www.checkmywow.com/reports/cCZtpQhKqvbmwgY2/127042100/2?tab=basic

ilvl: 861

Stats:

Crit: 14.39%
Haste: 25.41%
Mastery: 44.51%

Could you please advise what should I do to improve my dps?

Thank you in advance.

well for starters, your stats are way off buddy
You need to get your crit to at least 30, fury dps is very dependent on enraging, IE when bloodlust crits, or when using rampaging strikes, get your crit to 30, haste to atleast 18 then start dumping points into mastery, your low crit is what is killing your dps, hands down

There is actually a pretty nifty guide on here for fury warriors, in case you are having trouble maximizing dps due to talents or rotation. https://www.icy-veins.com/wow/fury-warrior-pve-dps-guide

Just get that crit up, and manage your enrage time and your dps will spike, was checking out your logs and you have around 50% enrage time, thats way to low for a fury warrior, with 30 crit your bloodthirst will crit most of the time alos with rampaging strikes to fill in void incase it doesn't crit, you should be enraged to close to most of your fights.  Hope this helps.

That's not right, the guide you linked even says that's not right. Now to say you can't get decent logs with other stats isn't wrong, but Fury is better at higher haste rating. Haste is Fury's strongest stat up til 45% and even at that it's still strong to 50%.

Now for the OP, Do you use SimCraft for stat weights? I usually sim after each trinket change or any large changes to stats. 2+% of one stat to another. Also your trinket Nature's Call is sim'd as one of the worst for Fury. I'm at work and only looking at this from my phone, but just at an initial glance I can say, drop Mastery for more Haste. Right now I'm sitting at 12% Crit, 34% Haste (35% with 375 Haste food), 38% Mastery, and 2% Vers. Also Pre-potting (Either the new cheaper or Old War) adds a lot of damage in the beginning and the end of a fight.

Here are my logs from my teams last normal clear, I'm at 864 ilvl in these fights.  If you go into the Calendar and look for other logs, my Team is Pink and my name is Raggnaar.

No problem, I was wondering if you were using the old weights, a lot of us were at first and when we got the change we were all like whaaat?!, but after the explanation around it, it makes sense. The rest of that wasn't directed at you, but I edited my post to make it more clear. Damn Cellphone and typing long posts is always a pain.

Naw your good, I should have looked at the page before linking, I havent really kept up with patch notes as of late, but that is a pretty drastic change, question though, with all that haste and such low crit whats your enrage up-time like?

also I'm not really sure which one to use as a filler, FS or WW? I'll check it out with SimCraft tomorrow and we will see the actual results.

Thanks for the hints so far.

FS as filler on a single target (to boost BT crit chance), WW on multiple targets.

on multiple targets you should be using ww then bloodthrist or rampage your ww gives your BT and Rampage a buff making them hit more then one target so for aoe filling do ww bt ww bt till ramp is up then ww ramp follewed by ur excute when available any time u can get of excute use it thats ur big damage out put specaily when u got full traits in Articfact as far as basic rotation single target u want to us raging blow when up Bt fill in with FS ramp when up use avater on cd battle cry on cd and dragon on cd as well as ur wep ability any fight with alot of aoe you can also use wrecking ball talent to boost ur ww i would stay away from blade storm it is only good if the tanks stack the adds up if adds get spread blade storm is useless

To be fair, Blizz making such a drastic change to stat priority by dropping Crit from top priority to last, within the first few months of the expansion was pretty crappy thing to do.  All that gear we were focused on getting with high Crit to get us to 30% became so much garbage.

By Icy Veins own guidance, Crit was top priority well after the expansion release.  Trying to get to 50% Haste through gear and a couple of gems is just ridiculous.

As the title already said I'm needing help understanding how to make the build like the guide says, i somehow need to get the full set bonus of bones of Rathma but i also need the full Captain Crimson's trimmings bonus for cd reduction i can get that with ring of royale grandeur but i also need to use fate's vow helm but if i use it i cant get the full Bones of Rathma set bonus or Captain Crimson's trimmings bonus.
If anyone know how i can get that build to work please say how, I'm open to any suggestions.

Raid/Class Spots Are Open To Any Applicant If The Player Is The Right Fit
A guild formed with an ambition for progression and a love for M+ we decided to make the move from Silvermoon Alliance and form a guild to take our focus to the next level, Cutting Edge in 10.1 being the next step.
We believe in building a guild by recruit players of a similar goal and mentality whether it be for raiding or for push score in Mythic plus. We value loyalty, honesty and a positive attitude towards setbacks. Communication skills are an absolute must.
      Raid Schedule
      Wednesday 20:30-23:00 Sunday 20:30-23:00
      Current Progression
      9/9HC 5/9M
What are we looking for recruitment wise?
We're currently open to recruiting DPS classes listed above, as we aim to solidify a stable 25-player roster. We're looking to provide competition to existing members and choose the best 25 players to proceed with for next tier.
      Contact Information:
      Discord; tomsen and lora1506
Think you'd be a good fit?
If you believe that you are a player that is looking to achieve the same goals as us then why not contact us and see if we can achieve our goals together!

<Fun is for Casuals> is a serious but casual horde guild on US-Hyjal. We are serious about raiding without the intense hours. Even when recruitment status is none, we will accept exceptional applications for all classes.
Our raid times are Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30PM to 8:30PM server (PST) with raid invitations sent out a few minutes prior to that.
We're interested in you if you fit the following criteria:
Raid attendance is essential. We don't want people sitting on the bench but we also want to make sure we're raiding 6 hours per week. We expect you to be available for at least 90% of our raids. Be on time and prepared for raids. This includes flasks and other consumables. Discord is mandatory and a working mic is desired. You're appropriately geared for our current content. Effort and thought have been put into your gear/gem/enchant choices. You wouldn't show up for a job interview looking like a *filtered*, why would you apply to a guild with improper gems or some insane spec? You're up to date with your class. We expect our raiders to perform to the best of their abilities. You have a computer that's not run with hamster power or requires a hand crank. Some encounters are taxing on a computer's resources so if your toon can't even handle Orgrimmar it's not likely to do well with 20+ whelps that need AOE'ing. You may be interested in us because:
<Fun is for Casuals> uses the personal loot system. There is no loot council, or DKP. We won't eat your babies the first time you stand in something you have no business being in. Repeatedly do it and we'll break out the bibs and BBQ sauce. We provide a limited amount of consumables and flasks on hard mode raid nights.  Discord isn't a circus during raids. We're focused on the job at hand and you should be too. We don't want someone to miss a an interrupt because they were distracted by fart jokes. We are not interested in you if you fit the following criteria:
You roll on BoE items then sell them. Unwilling/unable to spend an entire evening on one boss during progression. While this is rare, it can happen. Drama queens. If you have a problem bring it up to E. This is his job. Don't announce it in guild chat or during a raid. Your issue will have nothing to do with 99% of the guild. You are 17 or younger. We try to keep guild and discord chat PG-13 but occasionally a few four letter words appear out of nowhere. Additionally, we don't want someone's mom interrupting their raiding to get homework or the dishes done. Follow the instructions at https://gow.gg/fun-is-for-casuals under the Recruitment tab if you would like to apply.

This guild was founded by a group of tight nit friends recently, who have been around since TBC. WOTLK was our turning point in WoW, and we CANNOT wait to get another crack at this and MAKE IT RIGHT. Come join the adventure of a chill environment full of helpful hands and knowledge.
