looks like you really fell off in phase 2 for Odyn, theres a lot of time between switching targets where your pet isnt hitting. You started pretty strong then maybe got a little lost in rotation, maybe favoring cobra shot a bit too much and waiting too long for dire beast/bestial wrath/kill command. hopefully this simcraft can help you. As far as single target you wont be up to where the mm hunter is on the raid, 230k dps still isnt bad tho and is viable for normal and heroic. try not to waste too much focus trying to squeeze in an extra cobra or what not and always have it available for pet commands

Do you have Kill Command macrod with /petattack? This tells your pet to attack your current target rather than the target they're attacking. Add switching is a major downside to BM, but that macro is crucial.

I tried looking for a /petattack macro to combine with Kill Command. Some of the macros I tried seems to be glitchy with my pet still. There are different variations of the macro, so which would be the most accurate macro to use?

  • #showtooltip Kill Command
  • /petattack
  • /cast Kill Command

That's the one I got from

http://www.icy-veins.com/wow/beast-mastery-hunter-pve-dps-macros-addons

It works great, and I have adapted it to other abilities such as AMoC, Cobra, and Multi-Shot.  It also works as a means of changing the pet's target even if the ability itself isn't up.  Hope that helps!

I also highly recommend using AskMrRobot and it's "Best in Bags" feature, as well as it's simulator and combat logs, to ensure that you are using your absolute best possible gear setup, and that you're parsing what you should be parsing.  If you aren't, it can help you get an idea of why by comparing your actual combat log numbers to the simulated ones.  You can find it here, and it's free for a week, only $12.00/year.  Setting up those macros and using BiB and simulators has helped me tremendously, even if it has cost me a few points in my overall iLvL, my DPS has gone up.

I'm not entirely sure what I am doing wrong that is getting me this result, but I am getting about a 30k dps difference on training dummy when I use a defile, clawing shadows, shadow infusion build than when I use the recommended talents. I left the rest of my talents unchanged and I have yet to see where the dps difference is coming from (arbiter or clawing shadows), but I'm very confused as to how this could happen. I felt like I had a harder time keeping my disease up and using coldheart on cooldown (or rather whenever at max stacks) with the arbiter build. Am I missing some key thing or do I just need to git gud? Thanks in advance for any help.

So I looked around the forums and couldn't find an answer for this, figured I'd post here and if I missed the answer somewhere else, someone is bound to tell me where it is, either way. During Bestial Wrath should I be keeping up Dire frenzy as normal or should I be focusing solely on Cobra Resets and Kill Command? Also, same question for Titans Thunder.

      evening ladies and gents.
i've got a question about the blizzard store's race change.
at the minute i have a pandaren horde hunter. but i'm giving some thought to doing a race change to an orc.
i just want to check before i do anything. that if i do my race change. will i still keep all the pets i had before the change?
