Arms Warrior DPS Relic Choice

Here on Icy Vein's under the Arms Warrior DPS guide here is the recommended relic choice. I was under the impression that [Exploit the Weakness] was our top priority even if it meant 20-25iLvl difference. Since it would increase the proc chance by a factor of x2 with all three relics increasing Tacticians...

Why does this guide on Icy Veins say otherwise? Is it because the information is out of date and hasn't been updated?

Unfortunately this is not someting I can just run a Sim on because I don't currently have any [Exploit the Weakness] relics.

Hey Nashar,

Not sure if anyone had gotten back to you on this, but I can hopefully shed some light. I followed the order IV had until I noticed a drop in my DPS. The original order was Exploit, then PS until they nerfed the % on Exploit. Still, I've noticed it wasn't proccing enough to do the extra damage. With that being the case, I needed to take the extra % wherever I could get it.

I'm not sure that the relic order that you quoted is for the Focused Rage spec though, and that's the spec I go with. I run Exploit in my blood and shadow relic slots and Unending Rage in my iron slot because of Unending Rage. That really helps me stay on top of my rage.

Bottom line is if you feel that you're not proccing enough, go with Exploit.

Good evening, Nashar.

The image you posted from the guide is, more or less, correct. As of the latest information, the top simming relics are for:

Keep in mind that this is assuming you have 3/3 in both DeathblowDeathblow and Unending RageUnending Rage. If you're not that far into the weapon with traits, you can always use the relic simming guide posted by Nyjl: Click me.

I hope this helps. If you should have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Zurek - I am talking about the Focused Rage rotation.

Sajakain - How is Precise Strikes the best option? It allows for more slams since you'll have more rage to spend, but isn't the whole point to get tacticians to proc? Wouldn't it be proccing less often because you're spending less rage on Mortal Strike? That seems counter productive to me.

I really like to think that [Exploit the Weakness] x3 relics is the best option and that this part of the guide simply isn't up to date. And, since Relics are hard enough to come by I wouldn't be basing this off of my artifact progression.

Mortal StrikeMortal Strike has a base cost of 20 Rage. While we do have cost reduction spells such as DauntlessDauntless and the discussed trait of Precise StrikesPrecise Strikes, on spend abilities such as TacticianTactician doesn't calculate from the reduced resource cost; it calculates from the base cost.

Simply put, Tactician reads the base cost of 20 Rage when it decides to proc or not instead of the reduced cost of 7 rage. (7 Rage is assuming the reduced cost from Dauntless and 3/3 Precise Strikes).

================================

Edit:

I should also mention that, according to simulations, if you have Archavon's Heavy HandArchavon's Heavy Hand equipped then the priority does change to x3 Exploit the WeaknessExploit the Weakness relics.

If you have any question about a particular relic or which one will do better for your warrior, personally, feel free to use Nyjl's simming guide for relics: Click me.

Guild: Dawn of the Dead | http://www.dotd.org   Faction: Horde | Server: Zul'jin (PvE) | Timezone: EST   Current Progression: 3/9M | 8/8M Uldir   We've been raiding max size raids continuously since WoW has been released and are the only guild to have done so here on Zul'jin. We have strong leadership, no drama, and plans to keep raiding for years to come. Unlike many guilds, we're not recruiting for the short term, and we don't over-recruit.   Website: www.dotd.org
Raid Times: Our schedule is 8-11 EST Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.   Needs: We are a small guild, and we expect high attendance. As such, we recruit people to raid, and desire people who can step in and contribute immediately. We don’t recruit people to sit around, so all spots are for raiders who can expect to be in most every raid.   We are currently looking to add skilled and reliable:   Melee and Ranged DPS
      1 Healer:
      High: Resto Shaman, Resto Druid
      Medium: MW Monk, Holy Paladin
      Low: Holy Priest
*ALL exceptional applicants will be considered regardless of the class.   What we ask of you:   Effort: Not all applicants come from highly progressed guilds, and that’s okay, but it does mean that you need to be prepared. We recruit the player, not the gear, but we do ask that you have some current experience. You need to have the best gear available to you with top end enchants and gems where available. You also need to be able to display an understanding of your class mechanics, role in a raid, and ability to learn new fights.   Attitude: It’s a game. We play for fun. How you fit in with the guild is taken very seriously. We’re a bunch of mostly 18-30 guys and girls who have fun playing together. While we have a good time, we also know when it’s time to buckle down and work hard.   Skill: The best way to determine skill is to see you in a raid. Because we don’t wish to have anyone transfer that we’re not serious about, be able to express your knowledge of your class and why you’re an exceptional player who would be an asset and is worth a shot. Gear will come with time. Skill will not. Impress us with your knowledge of your class and gameplay mechanics. Feel free to share any logs, theorycrafting, or other work you've done.   Commitment: We make a commitment to you, and ask you to do the same to us. A raid takes a team of more than 20 individuals working together. We rely on you to show up to raids, research your class and new fights, respect your fellow players, and notify us when you are unavailable. You rely on us for gear, experience, and coordination. It's a large investment of our time to train and gear new players, and we ask the same investment on your part so that we can each benefit.   We have a variety of informational resources available to prospective applicants on our web site: http://www.dotd.org-- please refer to our "Applications" forum for detailed information. Also feel free to visit us on WoWProgresss for more information and kill videos! http://www.wowprogress.com/guild/us/...wn+of+the+Dead   Should you wish to speak to someone in-game, please don't hesitate to reach out to an officer directly, whisper Alloren (Alloren#1606), Xanah (Xana#1662) or Jeare (Jeare#1759).   We look forward to hearing from you soon!

      About Us:
Two Strike Policy is a weekday Mythic hardcore progression guild on US-Sargeras. In our spare time, we run various high mythic keystones/carries. Currently we are recruiting for our BFA Mythic Team for the Raid Tier Battle of Dazar'alor.  We value camaraderie, communication, preparedness and excellence in each other. Discord is used to communicate during raids. We decided to reform our team after Mythic Mythrax in Uldir and add additional days to our raid schedule from two days to four days a week to achieve CE early on in the tier.
We will still be using the updated RCLootCouncil to help distribute loot if it is tradeable or a sidegrade. We expect raiders to be aware of their BIS and ideal gearing setup, and willing to trade where possible to best equip the raid team. The type of people we want would almost JUMP at giving gear to their fellow raid member/team if it is a sidegrade for themselves. Guild repairs, flasks and food are provided to all raiders, including trials.

Alt requirement: 2 Alts. Keeping the neck & gear up to date. Please inquire about this!

<Exo> is an old guild from Dragonblight which transferred to Stormrage in search of mythic raiders. We are a guild full of experienced raiders always looking to expand our roster.
We are not a world first guild nor do we aim to be. Our primary goal is to get loot and have a good time, however this still means on progression nights we do expect you to show up, put on your serious face, and kill some *filtered*.
Our raids are on 3 nights a week; Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 9pm-12 Server Time (EST). The Monday raids are optional farm/alt nights (Normal/Heroic) with Tuesday/Wednesday being mandatory progression nights.
Currently we are accepting applications for any role, off specs are always a welcome addition but not required. Performance and skill will be looked at above gear, experience, or class.
We do not have a minimum item level required to join our raid team, however we will require you to catch up in our Monday farm-runs up until you are at a mythic level.
If you have any questions or are interested in joining or trialing with us please add Pasha#1800, Java#1849 or Bushido#1988 on bnet to talk with an officer.

Greetings everyone, so I've been using this site for guides for quite a long time now and I was wondering if it'd be possible to access 7.3.5 guides again, and if it is, how to get to them. I have moved to a Legion private server after quitting BfA on retail around a month ago, and I'd like to be able to view the guides again. I'm especially interested in the Feral and Guardian Druid ones. I also don't know if this is under the correct category, since I can't post under Guide Comments.
      Thanks!
