Patch 7. 2.0

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone

I heard a rumor regarding patch 7.2.0 and "ignore pain". According to the rumor, Blizzard will nerf it. Is there any hold in that?

Cheers

As far as i understand the changes, there is no direct nerf of ignore pain. But i have to say that i'm not playing on PTR. There are more experienced warriors who do that work.

I recommend the video of Sco on youtube where he gives some informations about the coming changes. We still have to be careful with that, because is 4 weeks ago and it is still work in progress.

The biggest discussed issue in the video and in the prot community is that revenge will be on GCD while focused isn't. For really really really good prot warriors, this will be a nerf in flexibility and so in survivability. Unfortunately, Sco doesn't really explain why. Today you can basically use FR and IP together. So if u have a proc of FR and the right amaount of rage, you can use them instantly togheter and get a full IP with lower rage cost. With the changes on PTR you get punished with a GCD for the same effect. That feels a bit clunky.

I really don't know how i should feel about that. Basically i like the prot how he is right know. If that GCD change is really that a hard nerf...i can just believe what Sco is saying (and i really appreciate his opinion). But i think also that for about 99% of all prot, this change wont be a hard hit because we're not running for world firsts and will manage it sooner or later.
